What EComposer is

EComposer is a drag-and-drop page builder that runs inside Shopify. Its home page says it lets you "build any Shopify page, faster" with a "drag-and-drop editor with AI-powered tools," and it describes itself as the number one drag-and-drop page builder for the platform. It is written for 4 kinds of reader: people building a store from scratch, merchants redesigning an existing site, owners who want landing pages or custom sections on a site they already have, and agencies or freelancers who build stores for clients. The footer credits EComposer Group and notes the site itself is "built with EComposer."

One requirement shapes everything else: "You need a Shopify store to start using EComposer." It is a layer on top of Shopify, not a replacement for it.

What you build and how

Pages and sections. The workflow is 3 steps on the home page. Choose a template ("over 400+ templates, 1000+ section layouts"), customize it by dragging and dropping content with "no need a single line of code," then name the page and publish it. The editor shows a live preview as you work, and a responsive preview lets you check mobile and other device widths. You can also build a custom section the theme does not have and insert it into your default theme, and a Global Block lets you edit once and update across all pages.

Design control. Each element carries "numerous design options," and the editor supports live margin and padding by dragging, global fonts and typography settings so a brand stays consistent, hundreds of free Google Fonts, and your own custom fonts. Copy and paste works for elements, sections and layouts, so you can reuse a block in another template. A one-click import brings a template section or page into your store. The editor autosaves your page or template every 5 minutes.

Elements and templates. The company counts 100+ elements and calls the library the "Largest element library on Shopify," with element presets and animations for text and elements. Templates are organized by page type (homepage, landing page, product page, collection page, cart page, blog and article, search page) and by industry: Fashion and Apparel, Cosmetics and Beauty, Food and Beverage, Home and Furniture, Electronics, and Sports and Fitness. Beyond those, it builds coming soon, FAQ, contact, About Us, store location and career pages. The menu gives the library as "500+ free & premium templates," while the signup copy says 400+ templates and 1000+ section layouts. Templates can be imported and exported, and the editor keeps a version history you can revert to; custom CSS and JavaScript are supported for anything the visual tools do not cover.

Conversion tools. "30+ built-in tools" cover countdown timers, reviews, upsells and more, and a Popup Builder handles exit intents, upsells and lead capture. A/B testing lets you "test variants, ship what converts," and built-in page analytics track performance. The company also describes a "25+ CRO Extension Kit," saying users "can install & use 24+ built-in extensions in any paid plan (no extra cost)." The named extensions include a sticky add to cart, an AJAX cart, an image compressor, color swatches, sales notifications, an announcement bar, back in stock, frequently bought together, cross-selling, a product wishlist and compare, age verification, a cookie bar, content protection and a GDPR compliant Google Font option. Page analytics covers "Heatmaps, conversion tracking & more."

AI. 3 AI features appear in the product listing: an AI content writer that will "Generate product copy in seconds," an AI layout builder where you "Describe your page, AI builds it," and AI Search Optimization, marked NEW, to "Get found by ChatGPT, Google AI & Bing." The content generator is described as a ChatGPT integration.

Shopify fit. The builder is "fully compatible with Shopify defaults and premium themes." Shopify Markets appears in the feature list, the app interface is multilingual, and it works with translation apps for storefront languages. The company lists 130+ third-party integrations and runs Solution Partners for integrations with Shopify apps, Theme Partners ("Get 6 months free Standard if you're on a partner theme"), an Agency Program "Built for agencies helping merchants grow on Shopify" and an Affiliate Program that pays "up to 50% recurring commission." A banner offers a free 6-month EComposer period to people who buy premium Shopify themes.

Store type. For the no-code ecommerce reader, the pitch is a Shopify store built in the visual editor from templates for various page types, with the built-in extensions covering add-ons a store would otherwise buy as separate apps.

The evidence from the pages

Plans. A pricing overview on the company's site shows a free plan with 1 published page, a first paid plan at $25/mo ($1.67 per published slot) and a second at $49/mo ($0.98 per published slot). The calls to action are "Start For Free" and "Try EComposer Free," and the company says the built-in extensions come with any paid plan. Plan names are not given on these pages.

Shopify offer. The home page advertises a Shopify promotion, not an EComposer price: a 3-day free trial and then $1 per month for the first 3 months of Shopify, with no credit card needed to start.

Reviews and community. The site claims "3.4K+ reviews" and a 4.9 rating on the Shopify App Store, and says "50k online merchants trust" EComposer. Older copy says 3000+ reviews. A Facebook community has 3.3k+ members. The template gallery shows install counts, such as 2469 installs for a collagen product page template. The showcase lists stores such as Mymanu and Ravpower in the USA, TakeOff in Denmark, My Happy Moments in Germany, Blomdahl Jewelry in Australia and Ruby Rose in Colombia.

Support. The company offers 24/7 live chat with an "Avg. 2-min response time," plus a help center, blogs, video tutorials and showcases. A merchant from Yoga Junkies writes, "Just for the customer support service, I would recommend 100x this shopify app," and another reviewer credits a support rep named David for helping a lot. The company also invites users to join a community for tips, deals and news.

Free tools. The site also offers a Shopify Fee Calculator, a discount calculator and a business name generator, plus a free sales booster app.

Who it suits and who it does not

EComposer suits a Shopify merchant who has outgrown the theme editor. A new store owner can start from a template. An established brand redesigning its whole site can rebuild pages and sections without a developer. An agency building stores for clients can use the template library, Global Blocks and reusable sections to deliver faster, and the agency and partner programs exist for that audience.

It does not suit anyone off Shopify. There is no other platform on the pages, and the product depends on a Shopify store and on Shopify's own plan. The free plan covers 1 published page, so a real store means a paid tier. It builds store pages and sections rather than member areas or non-ecommerce workflows, so its value rises with how much of the storefront a merchant wants to redesign.
