What the product is

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing and selling platform for coaches, consultants and course creators who would rather run one account than stitch together a page builder, an email tool, a course platform and a checkout. Its home page calls it "the all-in-one platform that turns your expertise into scalable income". The same company site says it combines pages, email, cart, CRM and memberships, with native video hosting, calendar scheduling and surveys. Kartra Inc. lists a Las Vegas, Nevada address. The landing page and funnel builder is where most people start, and the other parts hang off it: forms, courses, membership sites, checkouts and email.

What you build and how

Landing pages and websites. The pages are built in a drag-and-drop editor with no code, and the company says there are hundreds of ready-to-launch templates. The home page adds that the starter templates cover lead capture, product launches, webinar funnels and course delivery, and that you can pick one, customize it and launch. To the question "Do I need coding skills?" the pricing page answers "Absolutely not", crediting the drag-and-drop interface and menu wizards.

Funnels and campaigns. The pitch for the primary category is the funnel: the pricing page describes launching "a multi-page funnel flow to convert visitors into leads, leads into customers, and customers into clients". A funnel mapper visualizes a sales funnel so you can plan the customer's journey, and a Funnel Mapper & Simulator is listed under the platform's features for mapping the ideal sales journey. Real-time funnel analytics sit alongside it, along with built-in analytics for tracking campaign performance.

Forms. The form builder is listed on the pricing page as "Create unlimited forms to collect info & grow your list", and the navigation describes it as capturing leads. Leads land in lead management, where you build a database of leads, prospects and customers and organize them into lists with custom tags. Surveys and Quizzes are a separate listed feature for collecting customer feedback.

Online courses and memberships. The company describes a "professionally designed, drag-and-drop membership portal builder" for delivering content, courses and training material. A plan feature line reads "1 membership or course", so the number of courses or memberships is capped by plan. The navigation lists Online Courses ("Content that captivates and educates") and Membership Sites ("Give customers a community"). The pricing page also lists "access controlled member logins" for team members and video hosting that streams video straight to your audience.

Selling. Checkouts handle online payments through secure checkout forms for both credit card and PayPal payments. The security answer says the connection from your customers to your payment gateway is encrypted (256-bit), and that customer payment information is tokenized, so payment data never touches Kartra's servers. The site also lists affiliate management, so partners can sell for you.

Email, SMS and AI. Email marketing is built in, with broadcasts and newsletters and automated campaigns, and the site describes live or automated email and SMS campaigns. Kartra AI writes copy for pages, emails and SMS messages, and the home page says it helps you write in your own voice. Plans meter it by uses, for example 30 uses on one tier and 100 uses on another.

Scheduling and support tools. Calendars give you built-in appointment booking, which suits selling coaching calls next to digital products. Help Desks are listed for supporting your customers.

Agencies and teams. The navigation includes Kartra for Agencies, described as the solution for clients. The plans meter team members, and the pricing page notes that if you reach a limit on languages, custom domains or team members you are not charged a fee and not upgraded automatically; the account shows a message and you choose whether to move to a larger plan. Each plan has a fixed custom domain limit, and the page says no add-on exists to raise it.

Integrations and templates. The navigation lists Integrations and APIs for connecting existing tools, and a Marketplace of pre-built templates and campaigns. The security answer names storage and delivery providers including Amazon and SendGrid.

What the company's site states

Plans. The pricing page shows a plan feature list of 5 pages, 1 product, 1 membership or course, Kartra AI with 30 uses, unlimited forms, a funnel mapper, advanced analytics and checkouts. A further list shows Kartra AI with 100 uses, video hosting, 5 team members and calendars. The Growth plan, described as "Advanced Tools" and best for established businesses scaling with automations, is $229 per month billed monthly or $189 per month billed annually. The text does not give the price of the lower plans, so check the pricing page for them. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time from the Billing page.

Trial. The site offers a 14-day free trial with the line "Pick your plan". The home page says most new users launch their first page, funnel or course within the first week. The Kartra Essentials plan is described as designed for non-technical experts, with guided onboarding, templates, drag-and-drop builders, built-in AI for emails and headlines and support.

Scale claims. The comparison page says "Join 60,000 businesses already growing with Kartra". Its testimonials are the company's own selection. One consultant says that within 2 weeks of the first $1 they were over $1,000 of recurring monthly membership revenue, and that 10 systems were now down to one. A digital marketer says the members of the 3 BNI chapters they own passed $10 million in referrals last year. A networking expert lists Leadpages, Samcart, Drip and Typeform as tools Kartra is replacing. The compare page sets Kartra against ClickFunnels, Thinkific, Kajabi, Systeme.io, ActiveCampaign, Leadpages, Teachable, GoHighLevel and ThriveCart.

Compliance and support. The footer links Terms, DMCA, GDPR, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use, Billing Policy, an EULA and a DPA. Support runs through a helpdesk, a status page and the Kartra Support link, and the home page says you get one login and one support team. The site does not name SOC 2, HIPAA or other certifications.

Who it suits and who it does not

Kartra suits a solo expert or small team that wants to sell a course, coaching or membership and run its funnel, email and checkout from one account. The home page speaks to people still doing 1:1 work who want to shift gradually toward scalable offers, and it says Kartra replaces page builders, email tools, course platforms and checkouts in most cases. Agencies get a dedicated offering.

It is less natural for a team that only needs a single standalone landing page, since the platform is built around the whole funnel and its plans are metered by pages, products, courses, domains and team members. Fixed domain limits with no add-on are a constraint for anyone running many brands. The site mentions no code export or self-hosting, and it lists no compliance certification a regulated business would ask for, so ask the company directly if you need either.
