What the product is

CartFlows is a funnel builder that runs as a WordPress plugin, aimed at store owners, freelancers and agencies who sell with WooCommerce and want better checkout pages, order bumps, upsells and landing pages without writing code. The homepage presents it as "Four WooCommerce plugins that grow revenue at every step of the sale" under "One license, one renewal," and its FAQ also names Variation Swatches, a free plugin for visual product options, as part of the family. The plugins can be bought individually or as the CartFlows Suite. The homepage counts "800,000+ Active Stores," a "4.8/5 WordPress.org Rating," "92+ Feature Updates" and "5M+ Orders Processed," and gives 2018 as the founding year. The company's own comparison article calls CartFlows "the most installed funnel plugin in the WordPress ecosystem."

The central design choice is where the funnels live. According to the company, they sit inside your own WordPress site, so you keep your domain, your hosting, your data and your page builder, and nothing has to be migrated to a hosted platform.

What you build and how

The core product is the funnel builder. The site describes drag-and-drop builders and templates for setting up funnels, and a feature called Instant Layouts that creates a sales funnel in a single click with no coding. Funnels are built from landing pages, checkout pages and the offers that follow a purchase. The site lists the funnel builder as having "all 15 funnel features", and names checkout, order bumps, upsells and A/B testing among them. A lead generation feature adds built-in forms and opt-in tools, so a funnel can start as a lead capture page rather than a sale.

Order bumps are the feature the company documents in most detail. A bump is an add-on offer shown on the checkout page, and CartFlows gives you customizable templates for it. You can show a single bump or several. Conditional rules decide when each one appears, based on what is in the cart, the cart total, customer location, user role and past purchase history. You can set conditions per bump, control the order they appear in and cap how many show at once. After checkout, one-click upsells and downsells put further offers in front of a buyer once checkout is done. Dynamic Offers, a separate feature page, covers personalized offers and a smart rule engine that automates offers and actions based on customer behavior. Smart funnel routing sends buyers down different paths in the same funnel.

A/B split testing lets you run different funnel variations against each other. Advanced analytics and product reports show how funnels and individual products perform. Connecting funnels to the rest of your stack goes through OttoKit, which the pricing page describes as 1,000+ app integrations, with a single API key covering all 4 plugins.

For the nocode-ecommerce reader, the other 3 plugins matter as much as the funnel builder.

  • Cart Abandonment Recovery Pro wins back lost carts through email, SMS and WhatsApp, and can include coupon incentives in the recovery emails.
  • Modern Cart Pro replaces the default cart with a slide-out or popup cart and adds in-cart upsell recommendations.
  • Power Coupons Pro handles BOGO offers, loyalty rewards, gift cards and auto-applied discounts with dynamic coupon rules.

The company says every product is performance-tested and built specifically for WooCommerce, that you only activate what you need, and that nothing runs in the background unless you turn it on. The pricing page's plan comparison adds custom checkout fields, Google Address Autocomplete, a two-step checkout layout and opt-in forms, and its SureContact bonus brings a drag and drop email builder and a visual automation builder. A reviewer mentions Bricks Builder support, so funnel pages work with a page builder a store may already use.

The evidence from the pages

Free version. The pricing page invites buyers who are unsure to "Try the free version of CartFlows. Create simple sales funnels and start converting more visitors into customers." Paid plans add the Pro features on top.

Plans. All pricing is in USD, with an annual or a lifetime term. CartFlows Starter, "For single-store owners starting with funnels," is $99 a year (renewing at $149) for 1 website, with Instant Checkout Layouts, Modern Checkout Styles, product options at checkout, custom Thank You pages, dynamic order bumps, one-click upsells, smart funnel routing, A/B split testing, advanced analytics and premium templates. CartFlows Pro is $199 a year (renewing at $299) or $699 one time, also payable as $119 x 6 in installments, for up to 3 websites. The CartFlows Suite is $299 a year (renewing at $449) or $999 one time ($169 x 6), for up to 30 websites, and bundles CartFlows Pro, Cart Abandonment Recovery Pro, Modern Cart Pro and Power Coupons Pro with two bonuses: OttoKit Pro with "1 year free access" and SureContact as a "One time 2,500 contact plan, usable until contacts are consumed." The page puts the separate value at $1253 for the annual Suite. A second table on the same page sells the Suite by site count alone, saying "The only difference between plans is the number of sites you can use them on": Grow for 1 site at $199 a year, Scale for 3 sites at $299 and Agency for 30 sites at $399.

Guarantee and upgrades. Every plan carries a "Risk-Free 14-Day Guarantee," which the FAQ describes as a 14-day money-back guarantee; refunds come through a support ticket and the license is deactivated. The page says buyers can "Upgrade or cancel anytime, no contracts, no lock-ins" and upgrade "by paying the difference." The homepage FAQ adds that an existing license is credited toward the Suite price, that the Suite "includes every future product at no extra cost," and that no reinstallation is needed.

Payments and support. The pricing FAQ says any WooCommerce payment gateway works and names Auth.Net, iDeal via Mollie, PayPal, Square, Stripe, WooCommerce Payments and Cash on Delivery for one-click upsells; the WooCommerce Subscriptions extension also works. Starter and Pro include "24/7 Premium Support," the Suite "24/7 VIP Support," and the FAQ says CartFlows was built for client websites as well as store owners.

Results and reviews. The homepage reports figures "across Suite stores": "+12% average order value" after Modern Cart recommendations, "+30% revenue per order" after order bumps and upsells, "15% abandoned carts recovered" and "+21% repeat purchase rate." These are the company's averages, not a promise. WordPress.org reviewers quoted on the pricing page call it a "well coded solution that has consistently been improved over the years," and say "There are plenty of tutorials to follow, and relatively easy to set up." Another notes "the addition of Bricks Builder as a supported page builder."

Who it suits and who it does not

CartFlows suits a WooCommerce store owner who wants to raise average order value with bumps, upsells and cart recovery, and who prefers to own the site rather than rent a hosted funnel platform. It fits a freelancer or agency that already builds on WordPress and wants one license covering the checkout, cart and coupon layers. A small team that wants to test several funnel variations without a developer will find the rule engine and A/B testing enough for most store tasks.

It is less useful if you are not on WordPress. The product is built for WooCommerce, so a store on another platform needs a different tool. The pricing page shows two different tables for the Suite, so a first-time buyer has to work out which plan and term match their store. Because the funnels run on your own WordPress hosting, site performance depends on that hosting rather than on CartFlows.
