What AppOkart is

AppOkart is a no-code mobile app builder for Shopify stores. It converts an online store into a native mobile app using a drag-and-drop editor, and it is written for small merchants who want to launch an app themselves, quickly and cheaply. The company behind it is Appokart Private Limited, and it lists its address in Gurugram, Haryana, India. Its About section calls AppOkart "the world's most intuitive mobile app builder", which is the company's own description, and stresses that you need no coding to build a Shopify-based app.

What you build and how

You build a shopping app on top of an existing Shopify store. The company's blog on the product explains the flow: you create an account, connect your Shopify store to the builder, and then customize the app's design and layout with the editor. Adding essentials such as product catalogs, shopping carts and push notifications is described as "a few clicks". The homepage compares the editor to "dragging and dropping blocks".

The pitch is speed. The homepage heading promises a mobile app in 60 minutes, and the text says that in 1 hour you can make a fully functional mobile app. The blog repeats "Build app in 60 minutes" in its closing banner. Both are the company's claims about building the app itself.

Design control is broad on paper. The blog says the builder provides pre-built templates and themes, so you do not start from a blank screen, and that you can add your own logo, choose color schemes and add custom graphics. The homepage FAQ says the app is "100% customizable", from the home screen to the products collection to the cart screen. The banner on the blog adds "RTL support", meaning right-to-left layouts, and "World class UI".

Merchandising is part of the editor too. Under "Showcase Products Like Pro", the homepage says you can show the latest collections in a more elegant way and pin your latest launch at the top so every customer sees what is new. The homepage sums up the scope of the tool as being able to "create, convert, optimize and market your mobile app for shopify."

You see your work as you go. The homepage describes building in real time, seeing the changes you make as you make them, and offers a "Free Mobile App Preview". Its FAQ confirms you can preview the app after customizing it, to check that the functions and features work before making it live to customers.

The data layer is Shopify. The blog says the builder integrates with Shopify's inventory management and payment systems so the app and the online store stay synchronized, and that the platform allows integration with other business tools such as inventory management and customer relationship management software. It also says the builder allows integration with third-party apps, so a store can add features and functions to suit its own needs. The homepage also lists one-click checkout among its features, so customers can place an order with a minimum of taps.

Engagement runs mostly on push notifications, which the homepage markets as unlimited. It describes sending a notification about an upcoming sale or an offer that is about to end, a notification about the latest deal on a product a customer left on their wishlist, and an advanced automatic notification that reminds customers about items they added to the cart but did not order. The homepage ties this to the abandoned-cart problem, along with fast and affordable shipping options at checkout.

The finished product is a native app: the homepage says you "Build your native mobile app for better customer engagement," and the closing call to action reads "Start Building Your App For Free & You're Ready To publish."

What the pages state about plans and results

Pricing is partly published. The homepage invites you to "Start With Our Free Plan Today" and offers a "Start Today With Our Lifetime Free Plan", plus a "Free Starter Plan". A contact route sits under each of these. The FAQ says pricing depends on the plan selected and that there is "no hidden charge", and that you can change your plan at any time, with the change taking effect at the start of the next billing cycle. The site publishes no paid plan names or monthly prices; the Pricing page and the contact form are the route to them.

There is a clear commission statement. Under "Your Business, Your Profit" the homepage says that all the sales you make and customers you meet are yours, and "We don't take commission or charge transaction fees". For a merchant comparing builders that take a share of in-app sales, that is the most concrete commercial term on the site.

The homepage opens with 4 headline claims for stores that use the app: 4.2x better product visibility, 5x customer retention, an 85% higher conversion rate and 50% less abandoned cart. It also says you can boost sales "up to 20x", that mobile apps help businesses get 3 times more sales, and that research showed 90% of customers like to use mobile apps instead of mobile websites. These are the company's own marketing figures. The company also calls its product the "#1 Shopify Mobile App Builder", which is its own ranking, and says the builder has helped businesses "small and big" reach goals ranging from beating the competition to a 7-digit income.

The navigation shows pages for Features, Partners, Pricing, a help guide, customer success stories and a blog, plus a Book Free Demo button and a "Talk To Our Experts" link, so a sales-assisted path sits next to self-serve signup. Support is by email, phone and a contact form.

Who it suits and who it does not

AppOkart suits a small Shopify store that wants to see its own app on a phone with the least possible spend. The free preview and free plan make it low-risk to test, and the no-commission statement matters if you expect a modest, uncertain volume of app orders. The 1-hour build claim also suits an owner-operator who does the work personally and does not have a developer or an agency.

It is a weaker fit if you want to compare paid tiers on the website before talking to anyone, since prices beyond the free plan come through the company. The product is a template-and-blocks builder for Shopify stores, so a brand on another platform, or a team that wants custom backend logic of its own, sits outside what it is built for. A larger brand will also want to see the customer success stories and talk to the team before committing its main sales channel to it.
