What the product is
Superfans is a mobile app platform for Shopify stores, aimed at brands that want their best customers to have an app of their own. The home page headline is "The mobile app tailored for your superfans," and its pitch is that "your best customers always show up for you, now give them a mobile app that shows up for them." The site title reads "Superfans.io (formerly Vajro)," and some forms and testimonials on the site still use the Vajro name. The company says it was "built by the team behind 5,000+ mobile apps. Rebuilt for what's next," and calls Superfans "the all-new version" of that work.
The company's own guide to Shopify app builders describes the ideal customer as "Mid-to-large DTC brands that want to run retention, loyalty, and launches through their mobile app, and require deep customisation and lifecycle control." Agencies are in the audience too: the navigation has an agency partner program, partner videos and developer docs. The migration page says the product is "built exclusively for Shopify."
What you build and how
You build a native shopping app that mirrors your Shopify store and puts loyalty features in front. The migration page says you can customize your app screens from the homepage to the cart page "without having to code," and that the app syncs automatically with the store's "inventory and orders, ensuring no data mismatch between both the platforms." So the data layer is your Shopify catalog. A customer testimonial on the home page calls the builder "modular and user-friendly," and says "you can make quick changes and publish it."
The home page describes the build effort as light: "Build in 60 minutes" and "Go live in weeks, not months." The company quotes a customer, Supermarket Italy, who switched from another builder and says "In 1 hour we updated everything and in less than 48 hours our new app was ready to go." That is one store's account of its launch.
The guide describes how the company works with brands: Superfans "follows a co-building approach," so teams design app experiences that evolve with merchandising strategy, launch cadence and customer behavior. The app becomes "the primary surface for launches, loyalty visibility, and VIP access." The use cases it lists are:
- App-led product launches with VIP access, staggered entry and cohort-aware journeys.
- Personalized home screens and in-app experiences that adapt to behavior.
- Loyalty visibility, rewards and gated content for high-value customers.
- Push notification flows synced with Klaviyo segments and lifecycle automation.
- Ongoing changes to app design and layouts without engineering work.
The home page frames this as "Built for loyalty, not just layout," with content, products and offers personalized by behavior and "Push that feels personal." The migration page adds more of the toolkit:
- AI push. Generate and send personalized push notifications using AI, targeted by customer segments.
- Incentives. App-exclusive discounts, free gifts and Buy X Get Y offers to reward specific customer journeys without code.
- Upsells and recommendations to raise average order value.
- Live selling. "Broadcast and replay live sales on your app and Facebook Pages."
- Checkout and login. Fast checkout with phone number and social login, which the page says reduces password fatigue and raises SMS opt-ins.
- Reordering from past orders, and multiple stores: you can link several Shopify stores to one mobile app.
The company's argument for the channel is that Superfans "adds a third, high-ROI channel" to email and SMS, one that is "fully owned, deeply personal," with "No deliverability. No opt-ins. No send costs."
Integrations are a stated strength. The migration page says that "with over 70 integrations, Superfans fits perfectly into your current tech stack," and promises a "dedicated expert team to handle your new integration requests." The guide names deep Shopify and Klaviyo integrations. The home page integration strip includes Sezzle (pay in 4 interest-free payments over 6 weeks) and Flurry for app analytics, alongside unnamed tools for loyalty, live chat with bots, product search, reviews with photos and Q&A, and fit recommenders and size charts. Add-ons listed with an "Automatic Installation" note include product reviews with free photos and videos, visual and AMP stories, an instant search bar with collection filters and cross-sell, rewards and credit, a wishlist, social login, a customer account page, points and referrals, and a "Shop Now. Enjoy Now. Pay Later." option.
Publishing is something the team helps with. A customer on the migration page says the team makes "the app submission process so much easier."
The evidence from the pages
The company's guide states the price: "One flat $1,000 per month plan with all features, full strategy and execution support, no onboarding fees, and no growth tax." There is also "a custom plan for brands with extended build needs." The guide lists "Predictable pricing that stays stable as revenue grows" among the pros.
The home page offers a 30-day free trial: "Our 30-day free trial gives you enough time to go live, start selling, and get a hang of things," and you can "cancel at any time, no questions asked." A free trial is not a free plan.
The size claims are the company's own: "built by the team behind 5,000+ mobile apps," the migration page says it is trusted by 5,000+ brands with 1,600+ 5-star reviews on Shopify, and the home page says it has "helped thousands of DTC brands" in fashion, beauty, nutrition and lifestyle. The home page adds "5x Conversion rates" and "2x Customer retention" as headline stats.
Support is described in strong terms. The migration page says "Our dedicated success managers are available 24/7," the home page offers a Zoom call on the spot, and a Willow Boutique testimonial says the team is "available 24/7 and their service is A+ quality." Other testimonials come from Supermarket Italy, Trendy Savages, Prashanti Sarees and Dookan; Prashanti Sarees singles out "the timely push notifications."
The guide is candid about drawbacks of its own product: initial app load time "can vary in some setups," it is "better suited to growth-stage and scale-stage brands than very early teams," and "some integrations may require additional setup effort."
Who it suits and who it does not
Superfans suits a Shopify brand with a base of repeat customers that it wants to reward, such as a store that already runs email and SMS through Klaviyo and wants a third owned channel for launches, VIP access and loyalty. It suits teams that want a vendor to co-build and keep iterating with them, brands that operate several Shopify stores, and merchants switching from another app builder, since the company has migration pages and says it "can help you with all of your customization ideas." Agencies can use the partner program.
It is a less natural fit for an early-stage store, a point the company makes itself, and at $1,000 a month the flat plan is a real commitment for a brand whose mobile audience is still small. A store not on Shopify has no route here. And a brand with little repeat traffic will get less from a product whose headline features are loyalty, personal push messaging and early access.
