What the product is
Shopney is an AI-native mobile app builder for Shopify. Its home page puts it in one line: "Turn your Shopify store into a mobile app," so a store owner can convert more, retain more customers and depend less on paid channels. It is written for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants who want a native iOS and Android app without developers, and the company's own blog describes it as a no-code builder created by "a team of eCommerce experts with years of experience in UI, UX and development."
The site is explicit that the product is Shopify-only. An FAQ answer says Shopney is "built exclusively for Shopify," not a generic app builder adapted for e-commerce, and that this means deeper Shopify integration. Everything is run from one dashboard with tabs for design, notifications, campaigns, chat and integrations.
What you build and how
You build a branded shopping app that is a mobile version of your existing Shopify store. The company lays the work out as a 4-step growth roadmap: build, launch, sell and scale.
Build. The first step reads: "Shopney AI reads your Shopify store and builds a fully branded app." From there you "customize look and feel with the no-code drag-and-drop editor." The page describes an editor where you rearrange layouts, swap banners and add sections, and says anyone on your team can use it in minutes. A counter on the page says "0 Lines of code required." The FAQ describes the flow as connect your store, choose a theme, customize with the editor or Shopney AI, and submit to the App Store and Google Play. You can preview the app on your own phone before launch, send yourself push notifications, open in-app chats and complete real checkouts, and the page says design updates apply in real time whether the app is already published or not.
Themes. The page advertises "7 Tailor-made theme options" and says each is "built for a specific niche and inventory size," based on a study of real stores across fashion, home goods, beauty, electronics and other verticals. Each theme brings its own product layout, navigation structure and visual hierarchy, and you adjust colors, fonts and product layout. The FAQ counts "8 niche-specific themes," so the company's pages disagree by one on the number.
Launch. The second step is "Our team handles every step of App Store submission." The page promises a launch with no developers and no code, with Shopney's design team and App Store experts guiding you, and reports "5 Days avg. from sign-up to App Store".
Sell and engage. Push notifications are the core marketing tool, and the page calls them "completely free, unlimited, and AI-powered." It lists push types for welcome messages, abandoned carts, back in stock, win-back, browse abandonment, flash sales, personalized messages, segmented sends and app-exclusive offers. Segmented push can target customers by behavior, location, purchase history or Klaviyo audience. In-app campaigns pick up where a push leaves off with limited-time offers, personalized banners and focused calls to action, and the page says you can "set in-app campaigns and let them sell on autopilot." In-app chat lets a store support and sell without sending shoppers elsewhere. For retention, the page names app-only exclusives (early access, app-only rewards, purchase incentives), loyalty rewards and subscriptions.
AI tools. Shopney AI is presented as a set of tools. The app builder tool analyzes your Shopify store and builds a branded, ready-to-publish app layout in minutes. The AI Push Copywriter writes push messages. An AI Store Listing Writer for App Store titles, descriptions and keywords, and AI Push Campaign Management, which decides when, who and what to send, are both marked "Coming Soon." A section on "AI Image & Video Content Generation" auto-generates product images and videos "tailored for your mobile app campaigns." The marketing suite also lists AI copywriting, AI segmentation and AI automation.
Integrations. The home page names Judge.me for in-app reviews, Omnisend for push, Smile.io for loyalty rewards and Recharge for subscriptions, plus Klaviyo audiences for segmented push, and says you "simply connect the tools you rely on." An all-integrations page sits in the menu.
Switching. If you already have an app from another builder, the FAQ says your existing app users, data and customer history are preserved during migration and that the team guides you through each step. The home page lists free migration and dedicated onboarding.
What users experience. The finished app is a native iOS and Android app with the store's catalog, push messages, in-app offers and chat. The company's case study says its customer Shopi Go, a Shopify Plus fashion brand, achieved "a 22x higher conversion rate" and 13.5x engagement time against its mobile website.
The evidence from the pages
Pricing is stated on the home page: "Shopney plans start from $149/mo with no setup fees and no commission on your sales." The FAQ says every plan includes full access to the app builder, push notifications, in-app campaigns and live chat, and that "you keep 100% of what you earn." The pricing block adds that every plan includes 7/24 customer support and personalized mobile app growth consultancy. Higher tiers sit on a separate pricing page.
The trial is the page's other selling point. "You can design your app, test it on a real device, and even go live on the App Store during your 30-day free trial," according to the FAQ, with "no credit card required" and "full access to all features and plans" from day one. The closing banner adds "Free onboarding call," "No commission" and "Cancel anytime." A personalized demo shows your own store as a native app live on the call.
The company's performance numbers appear as stats on the page, which it says are based on average performance across 3,000+ Shopney merchants:
- 5x higher conversion rate on the mobile app than on the mobile website.
- 10x higher engagement rate on the app than on the mobile website.
- 3x higher retention and a 160% increase in customer lifetime value.
- 3x lower acquisition cost for the app than for paid social ads.
It also says "most Shopney merchants cut a significant portion of their ad spend within 90 days," just by activating push.
On scale, the page says "Our 3,000+ customers" and "3,000+ stores. One platform," and gives its Shopify App Store rating as 5.0 from 1000+ reviews. One quoted review says "it's been over 2 years with Shopney." Support runs through live chat, support articles and Zoom video calls ("Get live chat and video calls with real experts"), and the page claims 99.9% uptime and 6X dedicated success touchpoints from onboarding to growth.
Who it suits and who it does not
Shopney suits a Shopify or Shopify Plus merchant who wants an app quickly and wants the vendor to carry the App Store work. The 30-day trial with a live build and no card makes it easy to test on a real device before paying. The no-commission model suits brands that expect app revenue to grow, because the $149 monthly starting fee does not take a cut of sales. Brands already on Judge.me, Omnisend, Smile.io, Recharge or Klaviyo will find those named connections on the home page, and a brand moving from another app builder gets a stated migration path.
It is less suited to two situations. A store on another commerce platform has no option here. A team that wants every screen designed from scratch will find a theme-and-editor product, with layouts built around niche and inventory size rather than a blank canvas. Some of the AI tools on the page are still marked as coming soon, so check which ones are live before you plan around them. At $149 a month, it is also a real cost for a store that has not yet proven that its mobile audience buys.
