What SiteGround Website Builder is
SiteGround is a web hosting company, and its Website Builder is the site-building product it sells next to hosting. The home page describes it as "the simplest way to create a site" and says "Create a website and get online easily and quickly." The reader it fits is a small business owner, a freelancer or an agency that wants a site and a host from the same company instead of stitching a builder, a domain and a server together. The company says its top industry rating is 4.9 out of 5 stars and that it is "trusted by the owners of 3 million domains." Those are the company's own claims on its home page. The Spanish version of the site is aimed at the same reader, with the builder introduced as a way to create a web page and launch it online easily and quickly.
What you build and how
The Website Builder builds websites, and the company positions it as the entry point of a wider set of services. Its home page lists the product range as hosting for WordPress, hosting for WooCommerce, an agency program, web hosting, the Website Builder, an online store, email marketing, AI Studio and Coderick AI. The home page offers the builder with a "Start free" button and the online store with "Build your online store easily and start selling within hours. Try free." The home page also lists Sell online, Transfer WordPress sites, Launch a website, Code with AI and Send email campaigns as the first actions it offers visitors.
The builder and the store are one product line: the company's news feed, dated 30 September 2026, announces "Write it, share it, sell it: SiteGround Website and Ecommerce Builder now has a built-in blog." So a site made with the builder can carry a blog and a shop, and the online store offer promises you can "start selling within hours." Both run on SiteGround's own hosting, which the company's comparison page describes with daily backups on all plans and a CDN with "170 edge points."
A SiteGround comparison page gives the clearest statement of how the builder is sold. It says the builder comes "for free with all SiteGround hosting plans at no additional cost," and that if you have no hosting plan yet, "you may start a free trial of the builder and build your website for free until you choose a hosting plan that is right for you." In practice you can build first and pay for hosting when you are ready to publish.
The same page covers moving an existing site in. SiteGround offers a free website transfer: an expert-led migration from the Client Area that moves your site's databases and files and configures the site to work with them. For WordPress sites there is a free SiteGround Migrator plugin that transfers a site "from any host at no extra cost," including content, themes and plugins, and lets you bring several sites into 1 account.
The AI side of the offer sits under the name Coderick AI, which appears on the same domain as a second builder. The home page says it will "Build apps and websites by chatting with AI. Launch faster and host them on our all-inclusive hosting platform." The company's checklist article for no-code web app builders ends with a call to "Try Coderick AI and build your first web app," promising "production-ready sites and web apps through a simple chat, hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure from day one." That checklist defines a no-code web app builder as "a platform that lets you create browser-based apps without writing code" and lists internal tools such as CRMs, dashboards, task trackers, approval tools and admin panels as typical uses. It tells buyers to check data storage, user roles, workflow logic, integrations, hosting, support, pricing limits and export options. The Spanish page on AI app builders carries the matching pitch, "De tu idea al código en un chat" (from your idea to code in a chat). Here the entry is about the Website Builder, so read Coderick AI as a separate chat-first product that shares the hosting.
2 other AI items appear on the home page. An AI agent for WordPress lets you "manage WordPress and WooCommerce sites easily by chatting with AI" and is "included FREE in all hosting plans for WordPress." AI Studio is described as "your AI workspace to boost growth."
Plans, terms and support
The builder has no separate price list: the company's comparison page says it is included "for free with all SiteGround hosting plans," and its call to action reads "Free Website Migration and Free Website Builder With All Our Hosting Plans." The same page's table gives a hosting starting price for 1 year of $2.99/mo. The terms it states are:
- A free trial of the builder, with no hosting plan needed to start.
- The builder included at no additional cost with every SiteGround hosting plan.
- A free expert-led website migration and a free Migrator plugin for WordPress.
- The AI agent for WordPress included free in all hosting plans for WordPress.
- Daily backups on all plans, email with an unlimited number of email accounts, and a CDN.
On support, the comparison table lists Chat, Ticket and Phone as channels, and the page speaks of "24/7 human support." A chat box invites visitors to "chat with a team member." The company's track-record claims on that page are "20+year Expertise," "98% Customer Satisfaction" and "4.9 out of 5 stars on Trustpilot based on over 25 000 reviews," next to the home page's 4.9 rating and 3 million domains.
Who it suits and who it does not
SiteGround's builder suits a small business or a freelancer who wants one vendor for domain, hosting, email and a site, and who is happy to try the builder free before choosing a hosting plan. A shop owner who wants a blog and a store in the same builder gets both. An owner of an existing WordPress site who wants to move gets a free migration path, and an agency running many WordPress and WooCommerce sites can use the AI agent included in WordPress hosting plans.
It suits less well a team shopping for a standalone no-code platform: the company's identity is hosting, and the builder is sold as part of a hosting plan rather than on its own. The company's pages say more about hosting than about the editor itself, so a designer will learn most about the editor in the free trial. Anyone building a data-driven web app or an internal tool should read the Coderick AI material, because that product, not the Website Builder, is the one the company presents for that job.
