What it is
Pagecloud is a website builder created in Ottawa, Canada that helps founders, freelancers, and small businesses build custom websites and online stores without code. The platform combines visual design tools with e-commerce capabilities, making it suitable for anyone from solo entrepreneurs launching their first site to agencies managing multiple client projects. Its drag-and-drop editor handles both websites and storefronts on the same platform, with a free start available immediately. The company's site describes it as a space to create and launch websites, popups and banners, and says you can sign up and start designing for free, with no credit card required, then choose a plan when you are ready to publish.
What you build and how
Pagecloud's editor is a visual canvas where you drag components onto your page and click to edit them directly. You start with templates for websites and popups, and the home page says you can customize anything without code. You connect a domain (including free domains for annual plans through Hover), get hosting and SSL (included), and publish individual pages in draft mode or go live entirely.
For e-commerce, the platform adds inventory management and a storefront builder alongside your website. The home page says you can sell products, services and more. The pricing page lists e-commerce add-ons, and the company's e-commerce FAQ says a site on a regular Pagecloud plan can be upgraded to an e-commerce plan upon publish without losing existing work. The company says an e-commerce subscription includes all the features of a Pagecloud plan, so you can build a site alongside the store. You build a site first and add selling later if needed.
The design flexibility is central to Pagecloud's pitch. Templates give you a starting point, but every element is customizable. Text, colors, images, and layout respond to clicks and edits; you don't need to code a variant or wait for a designer. The platform's philosophy is "no code" in the sense of implementation (you don't write HTML or CSS by hand), not in the sense of locked-down templates. You get authorship, not just slots to fill.
There is no separate database product described. The company's site says to check your CRM for form embeds you can add to your website, and the home page lists contact forms among the lead-capture tools. Integrations include third-party embeds like Calendly, Mailchimp, Stripe, and Google Reviews, all dragged into the page directly. The platform's app ecosystem handles embeds for platforms, images, videos, social media, maps, and more; if an embed has an embed code, you can paste it. Pagecloud also includes an AI feature that, per the company, helps write, edit and suggest alternative copy for your website and blog. Its FAQ says you do not need a ChatGPT account to use it, and that stock images come from an Unsplash integration the company describes as free.
You can invite team members to collaborate on projects, share draft pages via links, and experiment with unlimited draft sites before publishing. The analytics dashboard tracks traffic with privacy-first metrics, letting you monitor your site's performance. The popup builder offers the same design flexibility, no-code building and analytics as the website builder, and is in a beta program for Pagecloud website users who opt in. You choose which pages a popup shows on and how it triggers.
For people who do not want to do it themselves, the pricing page points to a service called Crafted by Pagecloud. The platform serves solo freelancers building for themselves, marketers creating landing pages and lead capture, and agencies designing and launching client sites.
The evidence from the pages
Pagecloud offers what it calls a "forever-free trial" (no credit card required) and says all prices are in USD. The pricing page says all plans include a website and access to the full feature builder, and lists advanced analytics, team members, shared draft pages, unlimited draft sites, hosting and SSL security among what all premium plans include. Annual subscriptions come with a free custom domain (through the partner Hover) and a free custom email for the first year. The company also offers "larger volume plans, e-commerce add-ons, and custom services" and points to agency plans for them.
The forever-free trial lets you design before paying, and you choose a subscription when you are ready to publish. Support is available via in-app chat or email (support@pagecloud.com). Expert support is listed among what all premium plans include.
On the features side, the platform includes "publish individual pages" so you can keep work in progress behind the scenes, a popup builder with design flexibility, AI help with copy, and unlimited draft sites to experiment. The company's site confirms you can connect any domain you already own, and Pagecloud handles the hosting entirely (you don't need a separate web host). Regarding imports, the site notes that currently "there is no way to import code or websites directly into Pagecloud," though importing certain blogs is possible.
The company's site lists website and popup templates, integrations including Calendly, Mailchimp, Stripe and Google Reviews, and privacy-first analytics. Pagecloud Popups can be embedded on any website with "just one line of code" and work on external sites like Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Framer, and WordPress. The company warns that while AI aims to produce accurate information, you should fact-check and edit generated answers.
On popups specifically, you drag and drop content, click to edit and publish without code, and the site says popups can also be embedded on any external website with one line of code.
Who it suits and who it does not
Pagecloud fits solo founders launching a first website quickly, small business owners who want to manage both a site and a store from one tool, and freelancers or agencies building sites for clients. The free start makes it easy to try before paying. The template library and drag-and-drop interface work for people with design instincts but no coding background. The e-commerce add-ons suit businesses that need to sell alongside content. The home page speaks to professional services firms who want clients to find and contact them, marketers who want lead capture and performance tracking without a developer, and agencies who design, launch and manage client websites. Pagecloud is a fully managed service, so you do not need a separate web host.
It's less suited to teams that want to bring an existing site along. The lack of direct code imports means migrating a legacy site entirely requires rebuilding in the editor. The pages describe no code export, so developers who want an escape hatch into code should ask before committing. Teams with complex data requirements may also find a visual site builder with embeds a narrow fit.
