What it is
One.com's website builder is called Aida, an AI you chat with to build a site. The page's own pitch is to "chat with Aida to create a professional website with a free domain and EU hosting," and it is aimed at people who have no coding or design experience. It sits inside one.com's wider product range, which the site's footer lists as domains, hosting, emails, website builder and WordPress, and the company's home page is offered in English, Danish, German, French, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The pages do not say where the company is based, though they point to EU hosting and a Swedish customer quote. For a reader choosing between a website builder and an online booking tool, the point to know is that Aida builds both in one project.
What you build and how
You build by conversation. The FAQ says "You build and manage your website by chatting with Aida in natural language. Simply describe what you want to create, and Aida helps you build, edit, and improve your website and business step by step." Two entry buttons sit on the page, "Describe your idea" and "Modernise your website," so you can start from nothing or from a site you already have an idea about.
Aida uses your instructions to generate "a complete website with relevant pages, content, images and design." You then ask it to make changes, add sections, improve text or adjust the design, and when you are happy you preview and publish on your chosen domain. The company says most users create their first website in around 10 minutes. It also describes the tool as one you can ask for advice: if you are not sure what to do next, you ask Aida how to improve your site and attract customers.
The page spends a little time on how to write a good prompt. The advice is to describe what your business does, who your customers are, what you want the website to achieve and how you want it to look and feel, with no technical language, then refine through shorter follow-up prompts. That matches the "you're in control" framing on the page: you decide what gets created and published, and Aida does the building. A disclaimer sits next to the buttons: "This tool uses AI to generate content. Accuracy and legal compliance are not guaranteed." Anyone publishing legal pages, prices or health claims should read that line before relying on the output.
Online booking is the other half of the product. The bookings page says one prompt can make "your website and booking system in one go," and that the booking system is integrated with Website Builder, so customers can book appointments directly on your website. It describes 4 fast steps, starting with "Describe your idea (5 min)" and "Customise (10 min)," where you ask Aida to adjust the design, improve calls to action or add sections. Through chat you can define services, availability, booking forms and layout, and you can change the setup later by chatting again. The page says no technical skills are needed.
The booking examples are specific. "Whether it's a yoga class, a hair salon workshop, or coaching, customers can book individual spots or reserve the entire event. You control capacity and pricing." The page lists sports and fitness, workshops, events, art classes and group coaching as ideal uses. Its stated benefits are accepting bookings 24/7, less manual admin work, and fewer back-and-forth emails or phone calls. The same page says Aida can also create search-friendly website content, blog posts and service pages to help the site appear in search results.
Hosting and domains are part of the package. The FAQ says your website is "hosted on fast and secure European servers," which the company says supports data protection requirements relevant to businesses operating in Europe. It does not name GDPR or any certification. If you already hold a domain with one.com on a domain-only or email-only plan, you can sign up for the trial, connect that domain and publish in a few clicks. If you already have an active website or hosting plan, the FAQ says you "currently can't add Aida AI Website Builder to that existing project," and you start a new Aida project with a new domain, which leaves the existing site untouched.
For people who would rather not build, the bookings page offers a done-for-you route: "Let our experts design, build, and maintain your website so you can focus on your business," starting with a no-obligation, free consultation.
Evidence from the pages
The trial is the clearest term. The page offers the AI Website Builder "free for 14 days" and says no credit card is required, so you can create and test a website before choosing a plan. Email verification is required, and the FAQ ties it to the site staying active after the first 24 hours. The bookings page lists a free custom domain for the first year, a 15-day money-back guarantee and 24/7 expert support, and it says the booking system is included in the Aida AI Website Builder plans and in the Booking and Commerce plans but is not available as a standalone product. The pages held do not print a plan price, a limit on pages, bookings or bandwidth, or a template count, so a buyer should read the plan comparison before budgeting.
Support is a stated strength. The FAQ promises 24/7 human support covering website, domain, email, hosting and other one.com features. The site shows "Excellent" with 25,255 reviews on a review service, and the bookings page carries a feed of support reviews. One reviewer writes that one.com is a go-to for buying domains and that "I always get the help I need from their chat," while also finding the website and billing "a bit confusing." A testimonial from Christoffer Stener, co-founder of SommarGlans in Sweden, says "Setting up our website and professional email has been straightforward, and the platform has been reliable and easy to use as our business has grown."
Who it suits and who it does not
Aida fits a solo service provider, such as a coach, instructor or small studio, who wants a site and a booking calendar from one description and expects to keep editing by chat. It also fits an existing one.com customer with a domain-only or email-only plan, who can attach a new Aida site to that domain. The free trial makes it cheap to find out whether the generated result is close enough.
It is a weaker fit if you need to control the layout by hand: the pages describe chat as the way to edit and say nothing about a drag-and-drop canvas, code access or export. It is also a weaker fit for someone with an active one.com website or hosting plan who wants to turn that site into an Aida site, because the FAQ says it cannot be added and a new project is needed. Finally, the AI disclaimer means a business in a regulated field should review every generated page itself.
