What JouwWeb is

JouwWeb is a Dutch-language website builder for small entrepreneurs, with an AI tool that builds the first version of a site from one sentence about your business. It is written for people with no technical background, and the homepage headline promises a website in 10 minutes: "Eenvoudiger wordt het niet" (it does not get simpler). The company behind it is JouwWeb B.V., whose footer says the product is made in Eindhoven. The same product runs in other languages under the name Webador, and a notice on the page says that choosing another language takes you to Webador's site. The language picker lists Dutch for the Netherlands and Belgium alongside Danish, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Finnish and Swedish versions.

What you build and how

The company lays the process out in 3 steps. In step 1 you describe your business with AI: "Eén zin over je bedrijf, en AI bouwt de eerste versie" (one sentence about your business, and AI builds the first version). The AI tool turns that sentence into a full site within a minute, including pages, text and photos. In step 2 you make it yours by dragging in your own photos and changing text or color by clicking on them. In step 3 you go live on your own domain name and share the site.

The editor combines drag-and-drop with the AI draft. The homepage puts the skill level plainly: "Als je een e-mail kunt schrijven, kun je ook een website bouwen" (if you can write an email, you can build a website). According to the FAQ, every text, photo, color and page can be adjusted, you can choose an entirely different design without losing your content, and you can start over with a new description if the first draft misses. The company says AI writes the first version and "jij hebt altijd het laatste woord" (you always have the last word). Each design is made by professionals, and your text, photos and colors fall into place automatically, so edits stay tidy on every screen. The site adapts to phones, tablets and laptops.

If you would rather start from a design than from AI, the homepage shows a row of professional designs with names that hint at the use: Business, Traveling, Crossfit, Bed and breakfast, Barber, Restaurant, Suit and Burger. You can adjust each design's color scheme to your house style and switch designs later.

Sign-up asks what you want to build, with 3 options: website, webshop or blog. You can also give the site a title, such as your business name, which can be changed later. The company says most people spend an afternoon after the first draft adding their own photos and text before publishing, and that nothing is visible to anyone until you choose to put it online.

Search visibility. Every JouwWeb site is, per the company, optimized for search engines automatically with no SEO expert needed, and comes set up with what Google needs. The FAQ is candid that a new site takes a few weeks to show in search results and that this goes faster with your own domain name. The Business plan adds what the pricing table calls functions of Google Business.

Domain and email. You publish on your own domain name, without the JouwWeb brand in the URL. The domain is free in the first year and 20 euros a year after that. The FAQ says the domain is registered in your name, not the company's, that everything you write and upload stays yours, and that if you want to move, the company hands over the transfer code. A mailbox on your own domain can be set up in a few clicks with a Pro or Business package: the Pro package has a 1 GB mailbox and Business has an XL mailbox with 10 GB of storage.

Webshop. Under the heading "Verkoop meer met JouwWeb Business" (sell more with JouwWeb Business), the company says its Pro and Business packages give you what you need to start a business. The pages list a webshop that is easy to set up, one environment for managing stock, invoices and customers, the most popular payment and shipping methods including paying afterwards and automatic calculation of shipping costs, and no commission (0%), so all the profit stays with the seller.

What is included. The FAQ says a package includes everything the site needs to run: hosting, your design, AI functions, updates and support. There are no plug-ins to buy and nothing extra to install. The product is a closed, all-in-one builder rather than a platform you extend with code.

Plans, prices and support

The pricing table has 4 plans, with prices excluding VAT and based on annual payment:

  • Gratis (free): "Altijd gratis" (always free), meant for trying out the editor, with the essential functions and no domain name.
  • Lite: 2,75 euros a month for the first 12 months, then 5,50 euros a month, for personal projects, with a free domain for a year, all free basic functions, and advertisements on the site.
  • Pro: 5,00 euros a month for the first 12 months, then 10 euros a month, for starting entrepreneurs and small webshops, with a free domain for a year, 1 mailbox and a webshop of 10 products.
  • Business: marked most popular, 10 euros a month for the first 12 months, then 20 euros a month, with a free domain for a year, an unlimited webshop, 1 XL mailbox and Google Business functions.

None of the paid plans has setup costs. A footnote says the first-12-months price is a promotion running through 31 October 2026, at 50% off, after which the standard rate applies, and a banner says you save 58% with the annual package. The FAQ adds that you can build the whole site at your own pace with no time limit and pay only when you are ready to publish on your own domain.

Support is described as real people answering real questions from new entrepreneurs in your own language, free of charge, plus a help center with short guides, instruction videos and documentation. The homepage says the builder is used by 356.000 small entrepreneurs, the sign-up form counts 356.515 satisfied customers, and a review widget shows 4,4 out of 5 from 7.083+ reviews. A customer story covers the shop CHOCOLATECOOKIEBALLS, and co-founder and CTO Roel van Duijnhoven sums up the aim as "Zonder moeite veel voor elkaar krijgen" (getting a lot done without effort). The company also says it donated 110.000 euros to Village Enterprise, an organization that strengthens vulnerable women through entrepreneurship, to help new small entrepreneurs in East Africa, and its footer calls the company 100% sustainable.

Who it suits and who it does not

JouwWeb suits a first-time entrepreneur, a freelancer or a small shop owner who wants a professional-looking site, a business email address and a simple webshop without learning a design tool. The free plan and the no-time-limit build let you find out whether the AI draft fits before you pay, and someone who wants domain, hosting, email and a shop from one provider gets all of them here.

The caveats are straightforward. The low first-year prices are a promotion, so budget on the standard rate that follows. The Pro webshop stops at 10 products, which pushes a growing shop to Business. The pages describe no scripting or connections to other business tools, so someone who needs custom code or an app layer will outgrow it, and the Dutch site is written for a Dutch-speaking audience.
