What the product is
ProProfs Survey is an online survey and form builder with AI woven into the writing, editing and reading of responses. You use it to build surveys, quizzes, polls and feedback forms, share them by link, email or embed, and read the results as charts and reports. The pages describe uses such as HR and employee feedback, customer satisfaction, NPS-style programs and training assessments, so the natural reader is an operations, HR, support or marketing team that collects answers from other people on a regular basis. A solo founder testing an idea is served by the free plan. Support runs by phone, live chat and email, backed by a help center.
What you build and how
Most builds start with the AI. The site shows a prompt box that says "Describe your survey and we'll create it for you," with an upload option for PDF, DOCX and TXT files, and a "Generate Survey" button. The homepage says a polished, ready-to-send survey appears instantly. From there, the AI question regenerator lets you select any questions you're not happy with and hit Regenerate, or simply ask the AI to add more. An AI question editor rewrites a question on command: make it clearer, check grammar, simplify the wording, or raise the tone to professional.
The question set is broad. The FAQ says you can use 20+ question types, including multiple choice, rating scales, Likert scales, sliders, checkboxes and text fields, and you can add images or videos to make a survey more engaging. Since the same builder produces quizzes and training assessments, scoring is part of it. In the FAQ's words, you assign points to each answer choice, and the system calculates total and average scores and displays them instantly. That makes it usable for a knowledge check, an aptitude test or a customer satisfaction score, anywhere a number has to come out of the answers.
Privacy is a single switch. A toggle makes a survey fully anonymous, and when it is on, the site says, it blocks identifiers such as name, email or IP address. HR and employee feedback are the examples the page itself gives.
Look and feel is handled through branding. You can add a company logo, set custom themes, and choose colors, fonts and background images, and you can create surveys with different brand profiles to match different campaigns or departments. The site also offers a shortcut where you drop in your website address and the builder matches its colors, fonts and logo, or you pick a theme if you have no site.
Sharing covers the usual routes. The FAQ lists email, social media, direct links and embedding on your website. ProProfs also supports in-email surveys, where respondents click a rating directly inside the email. Surveys are described as mobile-friendly across devices. One testimonial on the homepage, from a reviewer named Susan Emmer, says the tool made it easy to add a survey to a website, blog or Facebook page, and that she used it for online market research.
After responses arrive, the platform generates reports automatically. The FAQ says you can view charts, percentages and trends, or filter results by respondent groups, and export reports as PDF, Excel or CSV. Charts and insights can be customized and downloaded individually or as a complete report, which suits sending results to clients, managers or stakeholders. An AI sentiment analysis feature, titled "AI Reads Every Response, Revealing Customer Sentiment," scans responses for the mood behind them.
The company's own blog adds features the homepage does not stress: skip logic and branching, survey redirects, scored surveys with custom result pages for assessments and lead qualification, multilingual surveys in 70+ languages, and popup, sidebar and in-app delivery for website feedback, with smart triggers that show a survey after a set time, a share of the page scrolled, or right before the visitor leaves. It also describes a library of 100+ templates covering NPS, CSAT, employee engagement, market research and event surveys, and a repository of more than a million survey question examples.
For integrations, the FAQ says the survey tool connects with Salesforce, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zendesk and learning management systems, and that Zapier or API access can handle custom integration. It names API access among the things paid plans add.
Plans, claims and support
Pricing is published in the FAQ. "ProProfs offers a Free plan for up to 50 responses and unlimited surveys." Paid plans, named Essentials, Business and Enterprise, start at $19.99 per month and offer higher response limits, AI survey creation, advanced analytics, integrations and API access. You can choose monthly or discounted annual billing at any time. The blog adds that pricing scales by responses rather than by features, that a dedicated onboarding manager comes only with paid plans, and that a white-label add-on is available for agencies managing client-facing surveys.
One of the company's own comparison articles makes a larger claim about the free account. It says the forever-free plan "includes all premium features, including AI survey creation, skip logic, scoring, NPS templates, and multilingual support," with no credit card required. A banner on its blog reads along the same lines: "Try our Forever FREE account with all premium features!" Read that together with the 50-response cap in the FAQ: the free account is a full-feature trial of the builder with a small response budget, so it suits a pilot, a classroom exercise or a single short poll. A program that gathers hundreds of answers a month will move to a paid tier.
Support is spelled out. Phone support is answered by "real product experts" Monday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM EST, at (855) 776-7763. Live chat is described as a live agent, under 2 minutes, available 24/7. Email support promises a response within one business day, guaranteed. The help center holds 1000+ help articles and video guides.
On compliance, the company's blog describes the product as "GDPR and ADA compliant" with SSO on enterprise plans, and the site footer links a Trust page and a GDPR/CCPA page. The footer also shows a rating of 4.8 from 300+ reviews and a copyright line starting in 2005, and the menu promises case studies under the line "Learn why millions choose ProProfs in their own words." The blog cites a product manager at Intel who described the tool as easy to use with stellar customer service. Its own list of drawbacks is candid: the app "is prone to suffering minor glitches from time to time," and real-time collaboration is limited.
Who it suits and who it does not
ProProfs fits teams that run recurring feedback programs: an HR group sending employee pulse surveys, a support team measuring satisfaction after a ticket closes, a trainer scoring a quiz, a marketer running an NPS survey. The AI generator removes the blank-page problem, and the per-survey branding helps an agency or a multi-department company keep each survey on-brand. The anonymous toggle and report exports cover the confidentiality and reporting needs of HR work. A solo founder can try the whole feature set on the free plan before paying anything.
It is a weaker fit if you want a general no-code app tool. This is a survey and form product, so the entry above covers questions, scoring, sharing and reports, not databases, custom screens or workflows beyond the listed integrations. The free plan's 50-response ceiling is the first limit most teams will hit, and a team that edits surveys together in real time will find collaboration thinner than the rest of the feature set. Agencies get the white-label add-on, and enterprises get SSO, on the higher tiers.
