What Formstack is

Formstack is a no-code suite for collecting data, generating documents and gathering signatures, built mainly for operations, IT and business teams that want to digitize paperwork without waiting on developers. Its homepage frames the pitch as "Forms, Docs, and Sign. Designed to Work Together" and describes the forms builder as "the world's easiest-to-use forms builder". The site shows a copyright line for Intellistack, LLC, and the top of the page links to a learn-about page for Intellistack. The pages do not give a headquarters location or a founding year.

The company says its workplace productivity suite helps "over 32,000+ organizations digitize what matters, automate workflows, and fix processes" without code. The reader it has in mind is a team that already runs on systems such as a CRM and needs forms, paperwork and approvals to flow into them, rather than a solo founder building a landing page.

What you build and how

The suite is organized into products. Forms is described as a way to "collect data securely in minutes". Documents is "AI-powered document generation". Sign provides eSignatures with "no per-envelope fees". A Formstack Suite bundle covers them together, and the site also lists a Workflows product for process automation, with a link to explore the process automation platform for teams that need workflow automation beyond forms.

On the forms side, the company says you can quickly build online forms with "advanced AI technology and intuitive, no-code builders". The page says teams can kick off with a pre-built template or start from scratch, and it lists a template library under its resources. The company's pitch is that the same tool serves an individual or an enterprise, reduces dependence on IT, and keeps data clean by cutting the errors that come from manual entry, paper processes and missing integrations. It also says it saves teams an average of 17 hours a week.

Documents closes the loop between a submitted form and a finished piece of paper. The company describes using captured data to generate polished documents, and a customer quote on the homepage, from a reviewer listed as an enterprise Verified User, says Formstack Documents saves their team 30+ hours a month compared to generating order forms manually. Sign then collects the signature. One reviewer on the homepage praises "Straightforward E-Signature with no pay-per-envelope", which matches the company's own wording. Taken together, the sequence is a form that captures a request, a document built from the answers, and a signature, all inside one vendor's tools.

The Salesforce-ready line is a large part of the story. The homepage lists Forms for Salesforce, described as Salesforce-native forms, and Documents for Salesforce, described as document generation and automation. A Salesforce consultant quoted on the page, in a review credited to Salesforce AppExchange, says Formstack Forms for Salesforce is "all administered and managed INSIDE of your Salesforce org", where other form tools make you log in to their website, create an API connection to Salesforce and manage the form there. For a Salesforce admin that is the concrete difference the page is selling.

For data routing, the site says forms, document generation and signatures connect to "hundreds of software tools", and it offers a "Browse 100+ Integrations" link. The integration menu groups connections into CRM, payments, email, CMS and document storage. The featured integrations are Salesforce, Amazon S3, PayPal, Stripe, HubSpot, Airtable and Microsoft. The page copy mentions routing data into CRMs, ERP systems and other central business systems. One reviewer on the homepage says they have integrations with at least 10 different applications through Formstack.

Beyond the builders, the footer lists a Developers and API link and a Documents API link, which signals programmatic access for teams that want to extend the tools. A line on the homepage offers software providers a way to embed and extend Formstack products into their own products. Application building is also mentioned: the company invites visitors to "take control of your data" through "low-code application building from Formstack". A Partner Program offers certified partners for implementation help, referral or reseller options, and the support side lists a Help Center, Formstack Academy courses, release notes and events and webinars.

The evidence from the pages

The homepage text shows no prices. The homepage carries a Pricing link and the calls to action are "Talk to Sales" and "Try the Full Suite, Free for 14 Days", so a free 14-day trial of the full suite (Forms, Documents, Sign and Workflows) is the stated way to start. No plan names, per-user prices, form limits, submission limits or trial restrictions appear on the homepage, and the pages do not describe a permanent free plan. A 14-day trial is not a free plan, and a buyer should plan for a sales conversation to get numbers.

Scale claims all come from the company. It says 32,000+ organizations use the suite and that the suite saves an average of 17 hours a week. The pages carry testimonials from named reviewers, including a senior manager at a mid-market organization who says "Formstack has always been my go-to platform for creating forms" and calls it "the most user-friendly and intuitive service I've ever tried". Another reviewer, a software engineering specialist, says it is a friend for corporates, flexible for custom online forms, with "no coding required". These are quotes from the vendor's own page, so treat them as selected endorsements.

On security, the footer links to a Trust Center and a security page, and the homepage promises to collect data "securely". The homepage does not name any compliance standard or hosting region, so a regulated buyer has to confirm those in the Trust Center. The pages also do not describe code export or self-hosting.

Who it suits and who it does not

Formstack suits a mid-size or enterprise operations team, especially one already on Salesforce, that wants request forms, generated documents and signatures in one place, administered by non-developers, and that values the Salesforce-native versions. It also suits teams that need to push submissions into a CRM, ERP, payments or document store, because the integration list and API links point that way. A partner program and training content help when an organization rolls it out to many teams.

It is a weaker match for a solo founder who wants a free form for a landing page, since the stated entry path is a 14-day trial or a sales call and no public price list is shown. Buyers who want to compare plans by themselves will have to ask for a quote. A developer looking for an escape hatch into code, or a self-hosted copy, will find no such option on these pages. Teams that want to try many quick pilots at very low cost may find a trial-and-demo model slower than a plain free plan.
