What it is

Perspective AI is a tool for replacing forms with conversations. Its home page headline reads "Forms are costing you business. An AI concierge turns them into conversations." You set up an AI agent that talks to a lead, applicant, customer or attendee, asks follow-up questions in real time, and hands your systems structured fields at the end. The FAQ calls it "a conversational infrastructure platform that replaces static forms, surveys, and interviews with adaptive AI conversations." It is aimed at teams that use forms to qualify leads, process applications, route requests and onboard customers, and who find that a dropdown loses the detail they need. The site is firm on one point: "This isn't a chatbot. It's production-ready, AI-powered structured capture." The company's listed address is in San Jose, California.

What you build and how

The agents. The building block is an agent, and the FAQ names 4 modes that cover the lifecycle: Concierge for intake, Interviewer for discovery, Evaluator for feedback, and Advocate for engagement. An Intelligent Intake page sits beside them in the product menu. The Concierge is the form replacement and the conversational front door: it greets each visitor with a conversation instead of a static form, adapts to their situation and outputs the CRM fields, routing decisions and automation triggers your systems expect. The Interviewer handles customer research; the company's blog describes it as an AI-moderated interview that asks an opening question, listens to the answer in the respondent's own words, and then follows up, probing vague answers and "chasing the why now." The blog also credits the product with transcript analysis and Magic Summary reports that condense many conversations into a brief.

Building one. There is no field canvas to lay out. The FAQ says setup takes minutes: you describe the outcome you want in your own words, for example capturing information from new visitors exploring a salon's services, and Perspective builds the conversation. Or you point it at an existing form and it imports that form automatically. Developers get an MCP server and an SDK, both listed among the resources, along with documentation and a changelog.

Templates. Starting points are shown as agent templates in an Agent Library, each with a use count. Examples on the company's blog include a Wedding Venue Inquiry Form (Concierge agent, 1.5K uses), Qualify RFPs Before You Bid (Concierge agent, 1.2K uses) and a Speaker Evaluation Survey (Evaluator agent, 1.9K uses). Each has a "Meet this agent" button and a "Make it yours" option for customizing it. The blog also points to a lead capture agent template to swap in for a static form, an event template for registration and post-event feedback that adapts to each attendee, and research templates such as a churn interview and a product-market fit survey. In the sample chats, the venue agent opens with "Tell me about the wedding you're envisioning," and the RFP agent asks what is driving the timeline on a procurement.

What the conversation does. The home page says the AI can interpret natural language, detect intent and nuance, and ask intelligent follow-ups in real time. In practice that means it aims to clarify ambiguity instead of ignoring it, capture both deep context and required structured fields, validate inputs against business rules, and convert free-form interaction into schema-aligned data. The company calls this combining adaptive conversations with schema-aligned data extraction: "You don't have to choose between nuance and structure." According to the FAQ, Perspective supports 100+ languages, and conversations adapt to the visitor's language automatically with no configuration per language.

Where the conversation runs. One conversation can be embedded on your site, sent over email, Slack, WhatsApp or SMS, or held as a phone call, and the FAQ stresses there is no separate setup per channel. For events, the company's blog describes putting a Perspective conversation in front of an existing registration platform: traffic goes to the conversation, which runs 3 to 6 adaptive questions in 60 to 90 seconds and passes the captured data and email on by webhook or native integration.

Output and automation. Every interaction produces rich contextual understanding, structured fields ready for CRM, underwriting or compliance, validation against required business logic, and audit-ready records. 4 downstream actions are named. CRM enrichment populates required CRM fields automatically. Intelligent routing applies routing logic based on validated outputs. Workflow triggers launch underwriting, approval or onboarding workflows. A structured audit trail preserves the schema-aligned data alongside the conversational context. The FAQ says that after each conversation Perspective can update CRMs like HubSpot and Salesforce, post to Slack, send email notifications or call any webhook, and that it supports 1,000+ app integrations through Composio. The event guide on the blog adds native pushes to webinar tools such as Zoom and GoTo and to marketing automation.

Where it is meant to replace forms. The site lists 6 high-friction workflows: eligibility and pre-qualification, applications and claims intake, enterprise demo qualification, complex onboarding and setup, compliance and regulatory workflows, and partner and vendor applications. Its stated principle is that wherever rigid forms degrade clarity, conversation upgrades the interface. The solutions menu runs from customer experience, marketing, research, product, revenue operations, sales and support to people and HR, with industry pages for SaaS and tech, financial services and insurance. The home page illustrates the problem with a long legal client intake form that asks for incident details, insurance and a police report number and warns visitors to allow 30 minutes.

Plans, security and evidence

The FAQ sets out the commercial model. You start free with no credit card. Free use runs on Flex, which the FAQ describes as no upfront cost and no subscription: you buy credits as you need them and pay only for completed conversations. When you hit your limit you choose pay-as-you-go or a monthly subscription, and enterprise plans are available for teams with custom needs. Prices for the subscription and credit packs sit on the pricing page rather than in the FAQ.

On security, the FAQ states that "Perspective AI is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified" and points to a trust center for its compliance certifications and data handling practices.

The company's argument is about the quality of what you collect. Its blog says that "forms are cheap, but the shallow, low-context data they collect is expensive to act on," and that a form records a customer's 6 out of 10 rating but cannot ask why. It is also candid that a form remains the simpler tool when you only need a shipping address, a file upload or a yes or no RSVP.

Who it suits

Perspective AI suits a sales or revenue team whose qualification depends on context, an operations team triaging applications or claims where answers do not fit predefined boxes, and a research or product team that wants the reason behind each answer. A venue, agency or services business with long, varied inquiries is the use the template cards show. It also fits an enterprise intake where the output has to feed a CRM or an audit trail and the security team asks for SOC 2 and ISO 27001, and a multilingual audience reached over WhatsApp or a phone call as easily as on the web.

The trade-offs are plain. By the company's own account, a short, fixed form for collecting names or addresses gains little from a conversation. Credit-based billing means cost scales with completed conversations, so a high-volume intake needs a look at the pricing page. And a conversational intake changes the experience for the respondent, who types sentences instead of ticking boxes, so it fits best where the extra detail is worth that effort.
