What Formkii is
Formkii is a form builder that also covers surveys, quizzes, live polls and audience Q&A in one free tool. It is aimed at people who need to collect answers rather than build an application: a team gathering a client brief, a business hearing what customers need, a teacher checking understanding, or a host bringing a room into a conversation. The company's site presents forms, surveys, quizzes, polls and Q&A as all free, and says no app or login is needed on the respondent side.
The site names 5 products inside one account: Form Builder, Survey Maker, Quiz Maker, Poll Maker and Live Q&A. It lists use cases for education and classrooms, events and conferences, employee feedback, customer feedback, market research and NPS surveys. The pages do not say where the company is based.
What you build and how
The core build is a form made of questions. The home page says the builder offers 18 field types, with logic and branding on top. The pricing page counts "All 8 question types, including ranking & NPS", so the two pages count the options differently. Either way, ranking questions, rating scales, NPS and file upload fields are named features. The ranking question is described as a way to learn relative priorities when every option sounds important on its own. The rating scale feature is built around naming the experience and explaining what the scale means. The file upload field keeps "a reference document or creative brief" connected to the answers that explain it.
Flow is controlled in 2 ways. Conditional logic lets a form show, hide or skip questions based on earlier answers, so each respondent follows a focused path. Separately, a one-question-at-a-time mode presents a single question per screen, with the option to keep related fields together on the same page. The home page shows a sample form at formkii.com/f/feedback, a 5-question flow that opens with "How did you hear about us?" and answer choices such as search engine, friend or colleague and social media.
Quizzes are a first-class build, not an afterthought. You set correct answers, points and a passing score, and "supported questions can be graded automatically." The site adds that quizzes can use timers, shuffled questions and answer explanations, so learners see why an answer was right. A course assessment template and a customer satisfaction template are among the starting points named on the site, along with an NPS survey and an event feedback template. The pricing page also lists ready-made templates in general.
Live work is the part that sets Formkii apart from a plain form tool. Live polls show real-time results as people vote. Audience Q&A lets participants ask questions and upvote each other's, which is what you would use at a conference session or a classroom. Sharing for these live formats goes through a link or a QR code, and the features page suggests the QR code is for people opening a project on their own phone at an event, classroom or service location.
Branding is covered by a dedicated feature. Themes, accent colors, fonts, backgrounds, a logo and a cover image can all be set, so the form looks consistent from your website through to submission. Publishing options are 3: a shareable link, a QR code, or an embed on your own website so visitors can respond without opening a separate destination. Respondents need no account, and you can allow fully anonymous responses.
After collection, responses appear in real-time analytics dashboards, and a one-click CSV export moves them into a spreadsheet so you do not retype anything. The company says every response is also available in real-time charts. The site also runs a library of research guides that supply survey question sets for specific situations, for example data export workflow questions, empty-state usability questions and permission settings usability questions. Those are reading material, not product features, but they show the audience is as much product and research teams as event hosts.
What the pages state
Pricing is the simplest part of this entry. The pricing page presents one plan: "One plan. Everything included. $0." It adds "no credit card, no response caps, no per-seat fees", and lists what the free plan includes:
- Unlimited surveys, quizzes and polls
- Unlimited questions per project
- Unlimited responses, with no monthly cap
- Conditional logic and branching
- Auto-scored quizzes with timers and passing scores
- Live real-time polls and audience Q&A with upvoting
- Real-time analytics dashboards and one-click CSV export
- Anonymous responses, shareable links and QR codes
- Ready-made templates and support for every device
The FAQ answers the obvious suspicion directly. To "Is there a catch or a hidden paid tier?" it says no: there is no response cap that forces an upgrade and no per-seat pricing. On trials, it says "There is no trial period", with the explanation that surveys, quizzes and polls keep collecting unlimited responses. The company states this is a free plan, not a trial.
On positioning, the home page says Formkii "gives you unlimited responses for free and combines surveys, quizzes, live polls, and Q&A in one tool", and that most alternatives focus on one of those and cap responses or features on their free plans. It names SurveyMonkey, Typeform and Google Forms as the comparison. A comparison hub lists matchups against Jotform, Slido, Microsoft Forms, Fillout, Paperform, Cognito Forms, Formstack, Zoho Survey and Poll Everywhere. Those pages are written by Formkii about its competitors, so read them as the company's own view. In the same vein, its blog post on free survey tools says the Jotform free plan caps monthly submissions and form count, and that Typeform's free plan caps monthly responses. Those are Formkii's claims about other vendors, not figures to rely on without checking those vendors.
The pages do not name integrations, an API, a hosting region, or compliance standards such as SOC 2 or GDPR, and they publish no user count or founding year. If any of those matter to your decision, ask before committing.
Who it suits and who it does not
Formkii suits anyone who expects response volume to be unpredictable. A school running a course assessment, an event team collecting feedback from attendees, a small business sending a customer satisfaction survey, or a founder interviewing early users can all start without a budget conversation, because the plan has no cap to hit. It also suits people who want the live formats, polls and Q&A, next to ordinary forms in the same account, rather than stitching a poll tool to a survey tool. The respondent experience is light: open a link or scan a code, answer, done.
It is a strong fit for the first reader type here, the person building something themselves with no developer, and for operations or HR teams running employee feedback and NPS programs.
The caveats are about what the pages leave out. The site describes forms, surveys, quizzes, polls and Q&A, and it does not describe payments, a workflow engine, or connections to other business apps. A team that needs submissions to trigger approvals, push records into a CRM, or run on a governed enterprise platform should look at tools built for that. Because the plan is a single free one, there is also no paid tier to move up to if you later want dedicated support or contract terms. For gathering answers and scoring them, though, the offer is plain and complete.
