What it is

eMundus, written EMUNDUS on its own pages, is a French platform for collecting and processing applications and calls for projects online. The home page describes it as "notre solution en ligne sécurisée sur-mesure pour gérer efficacement vos appels à projets et vos candidatures" (its secure, tailored online solution for managing calls for projects and applications). It also calls itself "la plateforme française tout-en-un pour collecter, traiter et sélectionner vos dossiers" (the all-in-one French platform to collect, process and select your files).

The reader is an administrator at an institution that handles many files a year: "pour universités, fondations et collectivités qui gèrent des centaines de dossiers chaque année" (for universities, foundations and local authorities that manage hundreds of files each year). The sector list on the home page adds schools, research bodies, companies, embassies, chambers of commerce (CCI) and Erasmus Mundus master's programs. The careers section has a "Vivre à La Rochelle" page, so the team works from La Rochelle in France; the pages held give no street address. The site is in French, and its pages say nothing about an English interface.

What you build and how

The first thing you build is a form. The product's form builder, "Constructeur de formulaire", is described as a way to "construisez des formulaires personnalisés pour vos candidats" (build custom forms for your applicants). The dedicated page gives its headline as "Créez des formulaires personnalisés et recueillez efficacement les données" (create custom forms and collect data efficiently) and lists 6 capabilities: data reference tables (référentiels de données), conditional fields, attachments, multiple steps, evaluation forms and decision forms. You can build from "un modèle préexistant" (an existing template) or customize from scratch. The page discusses field choices such as checkboxes, radio buttons and comment boxes, and argues that spreading a form over several pages improves the applicant experience and reduces abandonment.

The form is only the intake step. The same product then covers the rest of the process through what the site calls native features.

  • Campaigns. A console to "gérez et pilotez vos campagnes de recrutement" (manage and run your recruitment campaigns).
  • Files. File management to create, organize and track each application, plus a later view of a file's history.
  • Evaluation and decision. Tools to "évaluez et sélectionnez les meilleurs candidats" (evaluate and select candidates), and a cascade evaluation system for reviews by several colleagues. The home page adds that you can reassign files to authorized people in your organization and invite external experts to enrich and complete files.
  • Statuses and workflow. Status management to speed up processing, and a custom workflow with key steps.
  • Access control. User rights management so access is controlled centrally, and an authentication system described as maximum security.
  • Communication. Automated emails, an online messaging space and a FAQ you build yourself.
  • Outputs. Dashboards and charts to analyze and export campaigns. At the end of a campaign, you export and archive data as XLS, PDF or ZIP.

A second group is labeled complementary features. It names online payment ("effectuez vos paiements directement depuis votre espace EMUNDUS", pay directly from your EMUNDUS space), deferred video interviews, an eligibility test or multiple-choice quiz, electronic signature, letter generation from templates of your own, respondent anonymization to keep applicants anonymous, a candidate referent module, online voting and CRM interconnection ("notre plateforme se connecte avec votre CRM"). The pages held do not name any CRM, and they do not document a public API.

Use cases show how the generic pieces get assembled. The company lists student selection and enrollment, calls for projects, international master's and Erasmus Mundus (EMJMD) applications, innovation challenges and contests, a reporting portal for physical or moral violence, internship agreements, telework requests, job offer publication, bachelor's, master's and doctorate applications, continuing education (where the example is "définissez les champs de votre formulaire en ligne, paramétrez la gestion de paiements en ligne", define your online form fields and configure online payments), scholarships, subsidies, international and internal mobility, work-study programs, bonuses for teacher-researchers, short courses, summer courses, student jobs and ATER teaching recruitment.

For the people on the other side, the home page addresses "déposants et candidats" (submitters and applicants) directly. The platform is a hosted web service, and the pages describe no mobile app or self-hosting option.

What the pages say about plans, support and claims

The navigation has a Tarifs (pricing) entry, but the passages held contain no prices or plan names. The calls to action are "Demandez votre démo gratuite" (request your free demo), "Contactez un expert" and "Demandez une démo". So cost comes through a conversation, and the pages show neither a free plan nor a self-serve trial.

The one number the company gives for results is a reduction of 50% in processing time: "réduisez de 50% le temps de traitement de vos candidatures et appels à projets" (cut the processing time of your applications and calls for projects by 50%). The page does not say how that was measured. It says "de nombreuses organisations nous font confiance" (many organizations trust us) and shows sector tags, without a customer count or named customers in the passages held.

The pages show no compliance certification or hosting-region claim, so a public body with data-protection or sovereignty requirements should ask directly. What the company does say about support is practical: eMundus trains your team on the tool ("l'équipe eMundus vous forme sur la prise en main de l'outil") and offers "urbanisation du SI" (planned evolution of your information system). Resources include a FAQ, a blog, a newsletter and a help center.

Who it suits and who it does not

eMundus suits an admissions office, a research funding body, a foundation or a local authority that runs repeating, rule-heavy intake cycles and wants one place for the form, the reviewers and the decision. The anonymization option, cascade evaluation, external experts and archive exports are aimed at exactly that kind of committee process. Organizations that currently juggle email, spreadsheets and attachments, and that want a French-speaking vendor with training included, will find the closest match.

It is not a general form builder for a founder or a marketing team. The product is built around campaigns, files and evaluation, so a single contact form or a customer survey would be heavy for the job. The French-language pages are a practical barrier for English-only teams, and the lack of public pricing means a demo comes before any budget. Before committing, confirm the integrations you need, since the pages mention a CRM link without naming systems.
