What it is
Elfsight is a library of embeddable website widgets that you configure in a visual no-code editor and add to an existing site. It does not build whole sites or apps. The home page counts "97 widgets" in the library, each with ready-to-use templates, and the company describes its product as "multi-platform software that suits for any site." The home page says it is "Trusted by over 3,000,000 small business, agencies and top global brands worldwide."
It is aimed at site owners, marketers and small businesses that already have a website somewhere else and want a form, a chatbot, a calculator or a reviews feed on it without hiring a developer. That makes it a fit for the forms category, through its Form Builder and Contact Form widgets, and for the chatbot builders category, through its AI Chatbot widget.
What you build and how
The workflow is the same for every widget, and the home page spells it out in 3 steps. First, "choose a widget from our 97 widgets library with ready-to-use templates." Second, "customize it" by editing content, design and features "in the visual no-code editor." Third, "add to your site: paste a single line of code, or let our team install it for you." The page promises "no coding required" and says "it takes less than a minute to go live on your website." The company says the widgets are "integrated with any website platform, no matter which is yours" and names Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, HTML, Google Sites, Weebly, BigCommerce and Joomla in the footer.
Forms. The Form Builder carries a "Best Seller" label and is described as a way to "create forms to collect leads, feedback, and survey responses." Other widgets in the library collect input in narrower ways: a Contact Form to "collect contacts and new leads with an easy-to-use form", a Subscription Form to "collect subscriber contacts to expand your mailing list", a Poll to collect user opinions and feedback, and a Spinning Wheel that gamifies shopping with a prize wheel. For payments, a PayPal Button lets users pay or donate. A form is therefore one widget among many rather than the whole product, which is the main difference from a dedicated form tool.
Calculators. The Calculator widget is documented on a Wix-specific page. It supports sliders, numeric inputs, dropdown menus, single- or multiple-choice options with images, and section headings. An AI Calculator Generator "lets you create a calculator from a simple prompt": you describe a scenario, and Elfsight generates the fields and formulas. Templates on that page include a Product Price Calculator, a Mortgage Calculator and a Price Quote Calculator. When form submissions are enabled, the calculator can send email notifications that contain the visitor's inputs and the calculated result.
Chatbots. The home page presents the AI Chatbot widget as one that "Answers questions, captures leads, and helps visitors 24/7." Elfsight's blog describes it as "a user-friendly, no-code solution for creating customizable AI chatbots" for websites. According to that article, you design conversational flows in a no-code, drag-and-drop interface; the bot runs on pre-trained natural language processing models; and you shape its knowledge base by entering your own FAQs, scripts and responses. The feature list adds preset templates, a design you can match to your site, multi-language support and installation on WordPress, Shopify, Wix and other platforms through the embed code. The same article is candid that some users may find it limited for advanced chatbot instructions, since the widget is new and still in development, and it puts the pricing at a free plan with paid plans from $5 a month. The widget list also includes chat buttons for Facebook Chat, Telegram Chat, Viber Chat and Click to Call, which send visitors to a messaging app or phone call rather than run a bot.
The rest of the library. The home page lists a wide range of widgets beyond forms and bots.
- Reviews and social proof: an All-in-One Reviews widget, plus review widgets for Amazon, Airbnb, AliExpress, Booking.com and the Apple App Store, and an OpenTable widget for restaurant guest impressions.
- Social feeds: Twitter (X), Pinterest and Tumblr feeds, social share buttons and social media icons.
- Content: Blog, Slider, Timeline, Portfolio, Team Showcase, Restaurant Menu, Job Board, Flipbook to convert PDFs, PDF Embed, Video Gallery, Podcast Player and Radio Player.
- Site utilities: Cookie Consent, Accessibility, FAQ, Announcement Bar, Banner, Business Hours, Google Maps, Store Locator, QR Code, Back to Top, Comments, Stocks and Sales Notification.
Several of these carry "New" or "Trending" tags on the page.
Data from these widgets can leave through integrations. The Wix calculator page says Elfsight "integrates with Zapier, Mailchimp, and webhooks, allowing you to send Calculator data to thousands of apps, mailing lists, or external servers and CRMs". Each widget produces a unique HTML code in your Elfsight dashboard, and the Wix page notes that Wix's Free plan doesn't support external code, so a live Wix site needs a Premium plan. The calculator is compatible with the classic Wix Editor, Editor X and Wix Studio.
Plans and terms
The pricing block on the Wix page reads "Elfsight Apps: multi-platform software that suits for any site from $0 / month, start with a free plan." Listed benefits are unlimited domains, fast customer support, free-of-charge installation help and "100% customizable". It also states a "14-day money back guarantee" and that you "can cancel at anytime". The home page adds "No credit card · Go live in minutes." The Wix calculator page shows a 4.8 rating from 10,000+ reviews and says a dedicated support team is always available to assist with setup.
Support runs through a Help Center, a community forum, tutorials and the installation help included in the plans, plus the option to have the team install the code for you. A Feature Wishlist and an Upcoming Apps page show what is planned, and a Developers page sits in the footer.
Who it suits and who it does not
Elfsight suits an owner of a small-business site, a restaurant, a shop or a local service who wants a handful of well-defined components: a contact form, a reviews feed, a map, a cookie banner, a price calculator. Freelancers and agencies that maintain many client sites may like the unlimited-domains line and the install-it-for-you option. The one-line embed means the host platform barely matters, which is useful if the client site sits on a builder with limited customization.
It is a poor match for anyone who needs an app, a database-backed portal or a multi-step process with approvals. Forms here are widgets, so deep form logic, a records view or role-based access is not what the pages describe. The chatbot is, by the company's own account, new and limited for advanced instructions. And because every widget is loaded from Elfsight into your page, your site depends on that service for those elements.
