What it is

AntForms is a form builder and, in its own words, a Typeform alternative. The company's pages describe it as a free form builder with unlimited responses, conditional logic, built-in analytics, AI assist and integrations, for building surveys, contact forms, lead capture and event signup with drag and drop, starter templates and AI form generation. You sign up at app.antforms.com, and the site says no credit card is needed.

It is written for people who have hit response caps elsewhere: freelancers, small teams, consultants and anyone running lead forms, registrations or feedback surveys. The About page explains the origin plainly. The team built AntForms "after hitting the same walls in every form builder we tried: 10-response caps, paywalled analytics, and bloated editors." The pages do not say where the company is based.

What you build and how

The editor is drag and drop. You can start from one of the starter templates, from a blank form, or from a one-line description. The template page says AI assist "drafts the questions, logic, and field types from a one-line prompt" and calls it free on every plan. The site lists 8 starter templates plus AI form generation, and says the templates are starting points, with AI assist drafting whatever else you need. Examples on the templates page include a job application form with job-versus-grant branching and file uploads, a general application form for awards, memberships, scholarships and partner programs, a contact form with name, email, subject dropdown and message, a client intake form that branches by service type for consultants, coaches and therapists, and a bakery order form with pickup-versus-delivery branching, an item list and a date picker.

Layout is a choice. According to the AntForms-versus-Jotform page, forms default to a conversational, one-question-at-a-time flow in the style of Typeform, and classic multi-question layouts are supported when you prefer them. The same page makes a claim in the company's own voice that completion rates rise 20-40% over traditional layouts. Treat that as the vendor's figure rather than a measurement you can rely on.

Logic needs no code. The home page FAQ says: "Add conditional logic and skip rules so respondents only see relevant questions. No code needed." Branching shows up in the templates themselves, which is where you can see how a form changes by answer.

Analytics ship with the product. The home page says view counts, completion rates and drop-off by question are included from day one, and the Youform comparison page highlights per-question drop-off as a free feature. Advanced analytics sit on the paid Pro plan, and so do partial submissions, which the pricing page says are counted separately.

Publishing is a link or an embed. The FAQ says you can share a link or embed on any site, naming WordPress, Webflow, Wix or custom code, with one-click options included. Payments are handled through Stripe fields: the Youform comparison says native Stripe fields ship on every plan, including Free, and the bakery order template is labeled "Stripe on Free."

Integrations are native and broad. The About page names Slack, Google Sheets, Notion, Stripe, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Airtable, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and webhooks, plus 5,000+ apps through Zapier. The templates page also lists Zapier, Slack and Google Sheets in its summary line.

Your data stays exportable. The pricing page says: "Do I own my data? Yes. Your responses are yours. Export to CSV or JSON at any time." It adds that the company does not sell or share data and remains GDPR-aware. The home page says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and that EU data residency is available on Pro.

The evidence

Pricing is published and short. The pricing page lists a Free plan at $0 a month with unlimited forms and unlimited responses, and a Pro plan. Pro is $18.99 a month at launch and $28.99 a month at list price, and the page says subscribers who start during the launch keep the $18.99 rate for as long as the subscription stays active. The FAQ says Pro adds custom branding, a custom domain, advanced analytics and priority support, and there is a trial: cancel during it and you drop back to Free with your data intact. Billing is monthly only for now, with annual billing on the roadmap. There is no team plan yet; Pro is a single-workspace plan, and teams that need SSO, SAML or audit logs are asked to get in touch.

The company says it does not charge per response on any plan, and that a response means any completed submission.

The pricing page sets AntForms beside competitors. It states that Typeform costs $79 a month on its Plus tier, based on Typeform's public pricing as the company verified it in April 2026, and compares free tiers as Typeform at 10 responses a month and Jotform at 100. The Jotform comparison page puts Jotform Free at 100 submissions a month and 5 forms, Bronze at $34-39 a month for 1,000 submissions, and Gold at $99-129 a month for 10,000 submissions plus HIPAA. These are the AntForms site's description of its competitors, so check them against those vendors before you rely on them.

The Jotform page is also candid about gaps. On HIPAA it says "Not yet. If you need HIPAA today, pick Jotform Gold or Enterprise." It says a one-click importer is not shipped yet and that rebuilding a form takes a few minutes. It concedes that Jotform's library of 10,000+ templates is bigger, and sets 8 starter templates plus AI assist against it. The Youform page compares Pro pricing as $18.99 at AntForms launch and $28.99 list against Youform's $29 monthly.

Who it suits and who it does not

AntForms suits a freelancer or small team that wants a clean conversational form with logic, a Stripe payment field, a Notion, Slack or Sheets hookup and no response cap, and that would rather start from a prompt than a gallery. It also suits anyone coming off a free tier where submissions were limited to 10 or 100 a month, since the pricing page promises no per-response charge on any plan.

The caveats are about scope. There are only 8 starter templates, so you lean on AI assist or build from scratch for anything unusual. HIPAA is not offered, so regulated healthcare workflows belong elsewhere. There is no team plan, no annual billing, and no importer from other form builders yet. The pages describe a hosted service and do not mention self-hosting or code export, so a developer wanting an escape hatch into code should look at webhooks and the CSV and JSON export instead.
