What Uncanny Automator is

Uncanny Automator is a WordPress plugin for no-code workflow automation. It connects your WordPress plugins to each other and to outside apps, so that something happening on your site, such as a form submission, a course enrollment or an order, triggers the next step without manual work. The site says that if it happens in WordPress, you can automate it. The company's pitch is for anyone with a WordPress site, with everything presented in plain English and the advanced features hidden until they are needed. The site says over 50,000 websites use it.

Its builders call the workflows recipes. The product exists in two parts: a free plugin on WordPress.org, and Uncanny Automator Pro, which adds an AI assistant called Uncanny Agent and the more advanced automation features. The reader it suits is a WordPress site owner, an agency that builds WordPress sites for clients, or a team running a course, membership, store or events site on WordPress.

What you build and how

You build in a drag-and-drop interface that the company says anyone on your team can use, without custom glue code. The site's pitch is that you can recreate the reliable workflows that enterprise-level developers ship to clients. Pro adds the logic that makes a recipe more than a straight line: delays, scheduling, conditions and loops, which the site describes as bulk actions. The page's example is automations that target users based on behavior or drip content on a schedule, with conditions and delays, so that every action fires when and for whom it should.

The second way to build is by asking. Uncanny Agent is described as an AI agent built for WordPress. You tell it what you want to automate and it creates the workflow for you, ready to review and activate. The site says it can also answer questions about your site or data, build recipes and carry out tasks through conversation in any language: analyze sales trends, create content, create users, generate reports and publish posts. Separately, you can add AI as a step inside any workflow to generate email copy, summarize data, analyze sentiment, create images or draft social posts, powered by OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and more.

The integrations are where the product earns its place. The home page lists use cases by area:

  • eLearning: build automated online courses inside an integrated digital campus, covering enrollment, engagement and certification.
  • Webinars and events: event management automations, custom QR codes, and form-integrated enrollment.
  • Marketing: segmentation and drip campaigns.
  • eCommerce: delivery automations, real-time inventory management, and AI-powered sales reports and analyses.
  • Reporting and admin: data sent to Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack or your inbox, plus routine data entry and user management.
  • Content: automated content distribution across platforms.

On the plugin side the home page names WooCommerce, LearnDash, Gravity Forms and MemberPress as deep integrations. A page about LMS integrations lists a popular-plugins set that adds BuddyBoss, WPForms, WP Fusion, FluentCRM, Elementor Pro and Woo Memberships, and shows connections to HubSpot, Mailchimp, Slack, Zoom Webinars, WhatsApp, Instagram, Webhooks, Zapier, Tutor LMS, Paid Memberships Pro, Ultimate Member and MailPoet. The company talks up its 1-click integrations and says you do not even need to set up developer accounts to connect your favorite apps.

What your visitors experience is your WordPress site responding to what they do, for example when they enroll in a course, place an order or register for a webinar. The site's tagline for the combination is "Integrate everything. Automate anything. All with AI", and it says WordPress sites become intelligent with the plugin.

The evidence

The pages publish no plan names or prices. What they do state is the structure of the offer.

  • The free plugin is on WordPress.org and includes the company's most popular integrations, triggers and actions.
  • Uncanny Automator Pro adds Uncanny Agent and the advanced automation features, delays, scheduling, conditions and loops, and thousands of additional triggers, actions and tokens.
  • AI + Automation plans include "generous allocations" of Uncanny Agent usage for building recipes, asking questions and completing tasks. The pages do not state the allocation.

On limits, the company says there is no "success tax". In the page's words you can run unlimited automations, an unlimited number of times, for unlimited users, with no per-automation fees and no usage caps. The FAQ says Pro includes unlimited recipes and unlimited recipe runs between all supported integrations. Uncanny Agent usage is the part that comes in allocations.

The refund policy is a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases, as long as you have used less than 5% of the included Uncanny Agent usage.

Customer feedback on the home page is attributed to wp.org reviewers. Stephen P calls it exceptionally useful and says the customer service was fast and thorough. Jing says "With Uncanny Automator, we pretty much stopped using Zapier". Adam C says he has been testing and building automation solutions for clients over the past 10 years and stopped looking for other software once he found it. Noel A says the support has been exceptional. Richard F calls it a gamechanger. The page also shows a 5-star rating. These are quotes the company chose to display. A note on the page says it may contain affiliate links.

Who it suits and who it does not

Uncanny Automator suits anyone who already runs a WordPress site and wants forms, shop orders, memberships, courses and email tools to work together. A store owner or course creator can start free and add Pro for the AI agent and the delays and conditions. The stated cost model is simple: unlimited recipes and runs on Pro, with Agent usage handled through the plan's allocation.

It is built around WordPress, so a team whose systems live elsewhere, such as an ERP or a custom app, will get less from it. Prices are not published on the pages, so check them before committing. The refund guarantee only applies while you have used less than 5% of the Agent allocation, so test the AI features early if that matters to you. The AI steps are powered by OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and more, so a team with strict data rules should check what leaves the site.
