What Sheetgo is

Sheetgo is a no-code platform for teams that run on spreadsheets. It automates the work around them: connecting files, syncing data, merging reports, running approvals and generating documents. The homepage headline is "Make your data AI ready," with the promise to "Connect, prepare, and automate data across spreadsheets and business systems, so it stays usable for BI, AI, and workflows at scale." The FAQ says it is "designed for business users," and that teams "can configure automations and workflows without APIs, scripts, or development resources." The product line has 4 parts: Automations, Workflows, Data Space and a newer offering called Virtual Employees. The pages name financial analysts, operations coordinators, HR managers and spreadsheet power users for Automations, and department managers, finance teams and operations leaders for Workflows. The site is available in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and French.

What you build and how

Automations

Automations is for analysts and operators. The company's words are "Connect files, sync data, merge reports, and schedule updates, without building complex systems," and the homepage card reads "Automate your own reports, right inside your spreadsheet." You reach it through a Google Sheets add-on or the web app, and the company's blog adds an add-in for Excel. In practice you point it at spreadsheets and set up connections that split, merge and distribute data and refresh it on an automatic schedule, so a summary report updates itself instead of being rebuilt by hand. The blog lists built-in and unlimited custom connections, free integration with all major cloud storage platforms, and a dashboard feature, and says every paid Automations plan includes an AI processor for cleaning and preparing data. The site also carries a set of small spreadsheet tools: Convert, Remove Duplicates, Filter, Find and Replace, Merge, Sort, Split, VLOOKUP and PDF to Spreadsheet.

Workflows

Workflows is the process side, and it is where the business process automation use shows. The homepage tagline reads "Forms, approvals and dashboards your team actually uses," and the product description says it is for leaders "who need to standardize and automate repeatable processes." You "design structured flows that consolidate data, manage approvals, generate documents, and keep reports synchronized." Forms collect input, approvals route work to people, dashboards show results, and documents come out the other end. The blog says Sheetgo works with Google Docs and Gmail, so a flow can generate custom documents and PDFs and send custom emails. Workflows runs on the Sheetgo web platform rather than the add-on.

A typical process, such as collecting a request, getting it approved, producing a document and updating a report, is the whole pitch. The solutions menu points at inventory, finance, CRM, HR, project management and education, and use cases are grouped by department, industry and company size. The blog says Sheetgo offers "ready-made templates created specifically for business processes across a range of departments and industries, from inventory management to invoice generation," so you can start from one instead of a blank flow.

Data Space

Data Space is the governance end. The homepage says it "enables organizations to exchange data under enforceable governance frameworks, with role-based access control, granular permissions, anonymization, and full traceability aligned with EU Data Space requirements." It is designed for EU companies, public institutions and regulated industries that need traceable, role-governed data exchange.

Virtual Employees

Virtual Employees is marked NEW. The pitch is "Hire a virtual employee for a role, not another tool." The homepage describes each one as an AI agent with a job description, trained on what it calls a decade of Sheetgo's field experience, working in your Google Sheets files and talking to your team in Slack or Google Chat. The roles named are finance, inventory, sales, HR and project management.

How your data is handled

The FAQ says "Sheetgo does not store the contents of your spreadsheets. Data is transferred securely between your connected systems, and files remain in your cloud storage environment." The same FAQ says data is encrypted in transit and that automation runs on a secure cloud infrastructure "designed for governance and scalability."

Plans, compliance and customers

Pricing is published and split by product. The blog lists:

  • Automations Free: $0 a month "to automate your spreadsheets," with what the blog calls a limited monthly automation allowance.
  • Automations Pro: $35 a month billed annually, or $50 billed monthly. The blog notes that connections between different file formats need this paid plan.
  • Automations Enterprise: custom pricing.
  • Workflows Team: $88 a month billed annually, or $125 billed monthly. The homepage FAQ says Workflows "scales based on seats and usage volume."
  • Workflows Enterprise: custom pricing.

Data Space pricing is customized through sales. An Enterprise tier is available across products for organizations buying company-wide, with "enhanced security, governance, access control, performance, and procurement support." Calls to action read "Start free trial" for Automations and "Book a demo" for Workflows.

On trust, the homepage shows "SOC 2 (Type II), GDPR, CASA tier 3 Compliant," and says Sheetgo is a Google Workspace Recommended solution available on the Google Cloud Marketplace for procurement. It claims "5 MILLION TRUSTING USERS," which is the company's own figure. The footer links to a help center and a trust center.

The homepage names 3 customer stories. EA Foods in Tanzania automates OKR reporting by connecting departmental spreadsheets. YoungCapital in the Netherlands built a recruitment system on Sheetgo workflows and a structured Google Sheets database, and its data analyst Davey Boddé is quoted: "Sheetgo has become critical infrastructure. Our entire recruitment system is run by it." Inspire Telefom in the United Kingdom consolidates podcast sponsorship spreadsheets for reconciliation and commission tracking. For larger rollouts, Sheetgo offers services covering structured implementation, ongoing workflow optimization and architectural guidance, and the blog lists dedicated support from Sheetgo experts.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

Sheetgo suits teams that already live in spreadsheets and want them to run themselves. A finance analyst who consolidates the same reports every month can start on the free Automations plan and move to Pro at $35 a month for cross-format connections and the AI data-cleaning step. An operations or HR lead who wants forms, approvals and generated documents can look at Workflows from $88 a month, with SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CASA Tier 3 statements to hand for a compliance review. A public body or regulated company that needs governed data exchange in the EU has Data Space.

There are limits to weigh. Sheetgo automates the spreadsheet layer rather than replacing it, so it is not a way to build a customer-facing app, a site or a store. Workflows has a steeper entry price than Automations and is priced by seats and usage, so a larger team will want a quote early. Teams that have outgrown spreadsheets as a data home will want a database-backed builder from elsewhere in this directory.
