What it is

Kognitos is an AI automation platform for finance, operations and other business teams that run document-heavy processes. Business users describe a process in plain English, and the platform turns that description into an automation that, in the company's words, "executes every business rule deterministically." The FAQ calls it "a neurosymbolic agentic AI platform for enterprise automation," and its video overview describes "a generative AI automation platform with a proprietary human-language interpreter at its core." The site is written for enterprises: its FAQ says Kognitos is "recognized by Gartner and trusted by enterprises including PepsiCo and Wipro," the footer names Kognitos Inc., and the company's podcast is hosted by CEO Binny Gill.

What you build and how

The editor is a conversation and a readable English program, not a canvas of connected boxes. The homepage describes the Builder Agent: a business user describes the process in natural English through a conversational interface, and "The agent designs the workflow, generates the English-as-Code automation, and publishes it, no developers, no Python, no drag-and-drop flowcharts required." The FAQ says teams "typically go from idea to production in days, not months."

English as Code is the core idea. The FAQ calls it the company's "patented approach where plain English business rules are the executable code, not comments, not prompts, but the actual program logic," and gives an example rule: "If the invoice amount exceeds $10,000, route to the CFO for approval." A demo on the homepage shows the same style of instruction, "Process today's AP invoices, match to POs, flag any over $5K," answered with a summary of invoices processed and flagged for review.

The video overview names 3 architectural pillars. Concierge is the creative side: a conversational interface where users brainstorm, instruct, verify and decide, built on Kognitos's proprietary AI plus LLMs, which generates editable English process programs. The Brain is the diligent side, a human-language interpreter that follows those instructions deterministically, so the output is an English-based, auditable automation that a business user can read or modify back through Concierge. The third pillar is conversational exception handling: instead of a technical error log, the exception becomes a plain-English message the business user resolves, and the platform remembers the resolution "as a learning to apply on future runs." The video page adds that you do not need to map every variation or exception on day one, since the platform adapts as you go.

On the AI side, the FAQ says its Symbolic Executor is "a deterministic engine that cannot deviate from the rules defined in plain English," and describes hallucination-free automation as every step executing exactly as the business rule specifies. Neurosymbolic AI, in the FAQ's explanation, combines the language understanding of LLMs with a symbolic execution engine that enforces rules exactly as written. A Resolution Agent handles exceptions, and the homepage says each exception is "caught, resolved, and learned once." A Context Graph maps every vendor, invoice and account so that decisions are grounded in the customer's own data, and a fleet of agents can run work continuously, escalating only what needs a human in the loop.

The homepage leads with a Finance Suite: "Accounts payable, three-way match, reconciliation, and month-end close run as one system," with agents working from the customer's documents and ERP. The FAQ widens the scope to healthcare (claims, prior authorization, patient operations), banking and financial services, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, procurement, IT operations and customer support, and says any process that involves reading documents, applying business rules and updating enterprise systems can be automated in plain English. The video page describes the target as work where documents arrive by email or other channels and "need to be extracted, validated, and posted into a system of record."

Integrations are listed as "200+ Pre-built integrations. Plus anything your team can wire up in plain English." The platform menu names Oracle, SAP, Workday and Dynamics integrations, plus Documentation, Trust and Security, and an AWS Advantage page, and the site's structured data describes the product as cloud-based SaaS. A comparison page on the site says Kognitos runs on a serverless architecture, so customers do not manage infrastructure.

For governance, the homepage lists "RBAC and approval governance built in" and a "Patented Time Machine runtime: every run replayable," and says "Data residency controls available." The FAQ adds that every input, rule and exception is logged in an auditable Business Journal that compliance, finance and risk teams can read in plain English.

Plans, security and results

Security claims are stated directly in the FAQ: "Kognitos is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA compliant, GDPR aligned, and ISO 27001 certified." The footer of every page repeats SOC Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO 27001, and the FAQ points to a Kognitos Trust Center.

The site publishes no rate card. The homepage offers "Start for Free" beside "Book a Demo," the video page says "Or try it free," and the site's structured data describes the free offer as "Automate your first process free, no credit card required." The comparison page says Kognitos uses "consumption-based pricing with no per-workflow or per-node fees," and that governance, audit trails and compliance certifications are included at every tier. Finance teams can also book an Agentic Finance Blueprint, a custom plan the menu values at "$10K engagement value," and a 30-minute live demo.

Outcome figures sit in a "Measurable Outcomes" block on the homepage: "$1M+ Annual Cost Reduction," "30,000 hrs Manual work eliminated per year" and "3,300 hrs Manual work eliminated per year." JBI Interiors is quoted saying "Kognitos helped us eliminate 3,300 hours of manual work per year," with a case study on its rollout. The footer lists customers including TTX, Century Supply Chain, EOS Group, Norco Industries and a Fortune 50 food and beverage company. The site also lists recognitions, among them a mention as a sample vendor in a 2026 Gartner Hype Cycle for AI in Finance and Agentic AI and an MIT Sloan Innovation award.

Who it suits and who it does not

Kognitos suits an operations, finance or shared-services team that owns a process full of documents and wants to build and change the automation without waiting on developers. A center of excellence that wants to hand business users a readable English program, rather than a flowchart a developer has to maintain, is the audience the site writes to. A finance team with a month-end close, an AP team matching invoices to purchase orders, or a back office extracting data from emails and posting it into a system of record matches the examples the site gives. Regulated teams get audit logs, replayable runs and the certifications listed above.

It is a narrower fit for someone who wants to build a customer-facing app, a website or a store, because the pages describe business process automation and nothing about publishing interfaces. A solo founder with a handful of simple app-to-app triggers will find the enterprise framing and the demo-led sales motion more than the job needs. The English-as-Code approach is also a new way of working: teams used to dragging nodes onto a canvas will be learning to specify rules in sentences.
