What Coupler.io is

Coupler.io is a no-code data automation tool. You connect a business app as a source, optionally reshape the data, and send it on a schedule to a spreadsheet, a BI dashboard, a warehouse or an AI assistant. The company's own video title gives the flavor: "Connect Quickbooks to Power BI with No-code Automation." The reader it fits is a marketing, finance, sales or ecommerce team, or an agency, that lives in spreadsheets and dashboards and is tired of exporting CSVs by hand. The site organizes its solutions by function (Sales, Marketing, Finance, PPC) and by industry (Ecommerce, Agency). The text does not say where the company is based or when it was founded.

This is a data pipeline builder, not a general process automation tool. It belongs in the workflow-automation category because the thing you automate is the recurring movement of data between the apps you already use.

What you build and how

Sources. The company says it connects "390+" data sources, and the navigation links to "400+" in its source catalog. Examples named on the site are Facebook Ads, Google Ads, HubSpot, Shopify and QuickBooks, and the full catalog has its own "See all" page. The comparison posts say all sources are available on every plan, including the free one.

Destinations. Data goes to "BI tools, spreadsheets, databases, JSON, AI tools, and more." Named destinations are Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Looker Studio, Power BI, BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Redshift. The site separates these into BI and dashboards, warehouses and storage, and AI.

Transformations. Between source and destination, the navigation lists a "Blend & Transform" step with Formula, Filter, Aggregate, Append and Join. The Databox comparison post repeats this as no-code transformations: column management, custom calculations, filtering, sorting, data aggregation and blending by append and join. The practical meaning is that a marketing analyst can join ad spend from 2 platforms and filter it before it reaches a dashboard, without writing SQL.

Scheduling. Refresh is a plan feature. According to the company's pricing summary, the free plan refreshes manually, the Personal and Professional plans refresh daily, and one of its comparison scenarios uses a Pro plan with hourly refresh. AI features. An "Analyze with AI" menu groups AI Integrations (Claude, ChatGPT, CursorAI, Perplexity, Gemini and OpenClaw), "Chat with data," and an AI Agent that lets you "ask questions in plain language and get instant, accurate answers." Comparison tables list "AI insights, AI agent, AI integrations" as its AI capabilities. Blog posts show how to connect Facebook Ads to Claude for PPC analysis and business app data to Gemini, and one covers MCP use cases across industries.

Templates. The site has a Dashboard Templates section. A comparison table lists 170+ templates for Coupler.io, and the blog carries lists of ready-made dashboards for Power BI, Looker Studio and Google Sheets.

End-user experience. Whoever reads the finished output sees a refreshed sheet, a Power BI or Looker Studio dashboard, or an answer from an AI assistant, with no knowledge of the pipeline. The builder sets up the connection, picks columns, adds transformations and chooses the refresh schedule.

Support and learning. The site offers video tutorials, a help center, an Academy, an ebook, a YouTube channel, support contact, an affiliate program, solution partners and data analytics services for custom dashboards and setups.

What the pages say about plans, security and costs

Plans. The company's post on Zapier alternatives lists these plans. Free: 1 user, 1 data connection, 100 rows per run and manual refresh. Personal: $24 a month, 1 user, 5 data connections, unlimited rows per run (1,000 for high-volume sources) and daily refresh. Professional: $49 a month, 5 users, 20 data connections, unlimited rows per run (10,000 for high-volume sources) and daily refresh. Team: $99 a month, unlimited users, 50 data connections and unlimited rows per run. It also says you can start with a 7-day free trial on the Team plan.

Plan names vary. The Databox comparison uses different labels. It describes an Active plan at $99 a month with 15 accounts, unlimited users, unlimited sources and 3 destinations, and a Pro plan at $199 a month with 50 accounts, unlimited users, sources and destinations, and hourly refresh. Because the two posts disagree on names and limits, confirm the current plan sheet on the pricing page before you budget.

How the company frames cost. Its Databox post says Coupler.io starts at $24 a month against Databox's $159 and argues that "no per-user or per-destination costs" make budgeting more predictable. In 3 worked scenarios it claims savings of $135, $99 and $323 a month. These are vendor-authored comparisons using the vendor's assumptions.

Security. The footer links Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, a DPA and a Security page, and the Resources menu has a "Data security" entry. The site's text does not state any security certifications, hosting regions or retention periods, so read the Security page directly.

Who it suits and who it does not

Coupler.io suits a marketing lead who wants ad platform numbers in Looker Studio or Google Sheets every morning, a finance team pushing QuickBooks data into Power BI, an ecommerce operator consolidating Shopify and ad data, or an agency that wants one pipeline per client without per-user fees. The free tier is useful for testing a single connection before paying, and the company's pricing of unlimited users on the Team plan suits larger groups viewing the same output.

The limits are in its scope. It moves and reshapes data; it does not claim to be an app builder, a form tool or a place to run multi-step business logic with approvals. The free plan allows only 1 data connection and 100 rows per run with manual refresh, so any real routine needs a paid plan. Per-run row caps on high-volume sources (1,000 on Personal, 10,000 on Professional) matter if you pull large ad or event tables. And since the plan descriptions in the company's own posts do not fully match, a buyer should verify plan limits live. If your need is to react to events or trigger actions across apps, a general automation tool is the better fit; if the need is scheduled data into dashboards and AI tools, this is built for it.
