What it is
Betheme is a WordPress theme that comes with 3 visual builders: BeBuilder for pages and layouts, BeWooBuilder for WooCommerce stores, and BeBuilder Blocks for assembling pages from ready-made sections. It is aimed at WordPress site owners, freelancers, designers and agencies who want to design every detail of a site without writing code. The company says Betheme is "one of the most popular WordPress themes in the world, with hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers" and that it has been developed continuously since 2014. The BeBuilder Blocks page puts that customer count at 250,000+.
What you build and how
BeBuilder is the main editor. The company's own line for it is "Design a pixel-perfect responsive interface. Create advanced layouts. Add engaging interactions." Its feature list reads: live builder, drag-and-drop, in-line editing, flex layouts, responsive design, template library, header and footer builder, and CSS classes and IDs. The live builder is what-you-see-is-what-you-get, so pages take shape in real time while you edit. Drag-and-drop covers adding, editing and reorganizing the components on a page, and in-line editing lets you change text where it sits.
Design control goes down to colors, gradients, typography, shadows, padding, margins and borders. The company describes BeBuilder as more than a website builder, "an advanced content management system that puts you in the driver's seat." A header and footer builder handles the parts of the site that repeat on every page. Elements can be "stuck" to the screen so they stay visible while a visitor scrolls, and responsive design is treated as its own feature, with the company promising 100% responsive layouts.
Starting points matter as much as the editor. You can begin from a pre-built site or from a blank design, and the company says a license covers "over 650 pre-built websites," all current and future ones included. If you only want one page from a pre-built site, the builder's menu lets you find it and import just that page. Your own sections and content can be exported and imported between pages or between sites, which helps when you keep returning to the same layout.
BeBuilder Blocks is the third builder, "included with Betheme". Its core features are instant access to pre-built sections, builder revisions with easy backup restoration, a text editor with a code highlighter and shortcode manager, and an improved section with new options. To use a block you click the + Insert button next to it. The page lists 80+ elements, grouped by type such as typography, boxes and blocks, and says the element library keeps growing thanks to customer suggestions. Elements can be added, edited and moved visually or from the dashboard. The Blocks page also mentions Theme Options 3, which it describes as "thousands of global options" for managing a site.
For stores, the BeWooBuilder is, in the company's words, a "high-powered shop builder" for building "high-converting online stores." It lets you customize product shop and product page layouts and product galleries, so the WooCommerce side of a site is designed in a visual editor instead of by editing templates. One customer quote on the site says they bought the theme years ago but never used it in production "due to the lack of WooCommerce customization," and that the WooCommerce builder changed that.
Asked whether there is anything BeBuilder does not do, the company answers that it is a dedicated page builder, so Betheme pairs it with companion management systems for the rest of the site. Site-wide settings live in BeOptions, which the BeBuilder page describes as the place designers configure theme settings "in a matter of clicks," from fonts to colors. The home page's numbers band counts 600+ Betheme options, 200+ UI elements and a plugin bundle it values at $174, alongside the 650+ pre-built websites.
Compatibility is covered too. The FAQ says Betheme is fully compatible with the Elementor page builder, and many pre-built sites come with the Elementor plugin pre-installed, marked by an Elementor "E" icon next to the site's name.
Autosave is built in, and so are builder revisions that let you restore an earlier backup of a design. Documentation is a do-it-yourself guidebook for Betheme's options and features, and a support forum takes tickets.
The evidence
Pricing is a one-time purchase. The company says "Betheme is a one-time purchase" with no recurring fees, and describes the license as the way to get everything: "access to over 650 pre-built websites, 3 website builders you won't find anywhere else, bundled plugins, and extra add-ons." Free lifetime updates are included and cover all future pre-built websites. The site names no price figure and says the theme is only available through Envato. BeBuilder itself costs nothing extra: it is "free when you buy a license for Betheme."
Support is the other concrete promise. Six months of free support come with the purchase, and customers can use the support forum or open a private ticket. The company says the average response time is "only 6 hours," that 8604 customers rated its support, and that the average rating is 5 out of 5.
Reviews on the company's own pages are testimonials, not independent ratings. One reads: "The new Bebuilder is better than any other website builder I've been working with so far." Another, from an agency user, says: "Can't believe this new web builder is included for free." The same reviewer adds: "From now on I can build anything I want, seriously." The company's claim that "there are no limitations with Betheme" is marketing wording, not a spec, and a builder tied to one theme does have limits, covered below.
Who it suits
Betheme suits freelancers and small agencies that build many WordPress sites and would rather pay once than renew a subscription per site. The 650+ pre-built websites, the single-page import and the cross-site export of sections all reward people who reuse work. It also suits store builders who want visual control of WooCommerce pages, and Elementor users who want to keep that plugin available on pre-built sites while trying the native builders.
There are caveats. Betheme is a theme, and the builders are included with it, so you use them as part of Betheme rather than as a separate product. It is sold only through Envato, which is where the license price is shown, and the included support runs for 6 months. It is a site and store design tool rather than an app builder with its own data layer, so it fits projects where WordPress is already the platform.
