What BeBuilder is

BeBuilder is the website builder that ships inside Betheme, the WordPress theme made by Muffin Group. It is a visual drag-and-drop editor for WordPress and WooCommerce sites, aimed at freelancers, agencies and site owners who want to start from a finished layout and adjust it. The main site presents Muffin Group as a team of 7 that also builds websites and web applications.

The product page describes it as "Faster, lighter & more stable than any other website builder for WordPress" and calls it "the most intuitive website builder for wordpress on the market." Those are the company's own claims. Muffin Group also says Betheme is "the biggest wordpress theme ever," and the main site states "Over 300 000 satisfied users." The builder page points to a "What's new in 28.5.9.1" release note.

What you build and how

The editor. The page calls it "Live Editing. What you see is what you get. Live & instant." You drag elements into place, edit text inline, and switch between a Code view and a Visual view. You can set responsive visibility per breakpoint, preview the frontend with one click, and reorder columns and content inside a container. Smaller tools are listed too: Presets, Favourite elements, keyboard shortcuts, handy tools on right click, a Layer Navigator, history mode, and an Auto, Light and Dark UI mode for the builder itself. There are modern and classic navigation styles in the builder interface.

Reusable pieces. Global Wraps and Sections let you reuse a structure across pages, and single page import and export moves a page between sites. Custom CSS, classes and IDs are available for anyone who wants to reach into the markup, and a set of default developer blocks and conditional logic covers more technical cases. A separate "Advanced tab" styles sections, wraps and elements, and the page says you can create a design in Figma and transfer it to WordPress using BeBuilder. Global Styles let you save a frequently used style, such as an icon box, and apply it to other elements; edit it once and every element using it updates. Page Settings, Theme Options and Template Settings switch between global and local options from one place.

Layout and data. Pages divide into sections, wraps, nested wraps and items, with predefined or custom grid sizes, default, absolute or offset positioning, sticky wraps, and a switch between regular and one-page layouts. You adjust settings separately for desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile, and hide or show items per breakpoint. Dynamic data puts content, titles, images and excerpts anywhere on a page. An icon library offers built-in sets or your own uploads.

Saving work. The page lists 4 types of history storage (autosave, update, revisions and backup), undo and redo by button or shortcut, and a draft mode.

Starting points. The company says it offers "700+ prebuilt websites" that are "fully responsive, fast and feature-rich," all with 1-click installation, plus 80+ elements and a library of prebuilt sections. The template previews on the main site include car, cosmetics, clothing, paint and furniture stores for the Woo templates, and agency, leasing, doctor and estate for general websites. Others cover travel, marathon, shoes, press and martial arts.

Template builders. Instead of one generic canvas, BeBuilder has a builder for each part of a site:

  • Header and Mega Menu Builder, "without coding and limits."
  • Footer Builder, so the footer looks right on every device.
  • Loop Builder for sliders, blogs, portfolios and WooCommerce shop listings.
  • Popup Builder for popups shown "when it matters."
  • Sidebar menu Builder for sidebar menus and vertical headers.
  • Post Builder for custom post layouts assigned to categories and tags.
  • Portfolio Builder for single portfolio templates.

Display conditions. You can create as many templates as you like and assign them to specific kinds of pages, and limit a template to given categories or tags.

Visual effects. The Add-ons section lists shape dividers, Lottie animation, entrance animations that play on scroll, mask shapes, background overlays with opacity or CSS filters such as blur and brightness, transform controls (translate, scale, skew, rotate) and backdrop filters.

Online stores. This is where the second category applies. The Woo Builder is described as "A simple way to design your own online store. Build exactly the WooCommerce website you want." The page shows how it works for the shop: create a template for Shop Archive or Single Product, set conditions for that template, and customize the store details with the available options. The main site's Woo templates give a head start. The page names WooCommerce as the store engine, so BeBuilder is the design layer on top of it.

Plugins and integrations. The main site's Premium plugins section lists: Slider Revolution, Layer Slider, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce, WPML for multilingual sites, HubSpot, Rank Math, Contact Form 7, MailChimp, The Events Calendar, ADS Pro, W3 Total Cache, BuddyPress, bbPress, Cookie Law Info and WPBakery Builder.

What the pages say about speed, scale and support

The builder page makes performance a headline. It says BeBuilder "has been completely rewritten with Vanilla JS," and gives 3 figures: "~200% faster than" other builders, "20x less builder data storage," and "3x loading speed of the builder." It also claims a "100% score on GTMetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights." These are the company's own performance claims.

On scale and care, Muffin Group's own site states:

  • Updates every week.
  • 700+ pre-built websites.
  • 100% built in-house software.
  • Over 300 000 satisfied users.
  • A team of 7, with 15 years of experience in coding.

Support is listed as a Support Center, BeTheme documentation, a theme support forum, video tutorials and a Facebook community, and the builder page says the average response time is only 6 hours. The builder page labels BeBuilder "FREE with Betheme," so it comes with the theme rather than as a separate purchase; the prices themselves sit on a separate pricing page, alongside licensing, support and refund policy pages. A "Get Betheme" button and a "Purchase Be theme & Get Started Today" call to action lead to the purchase flow, and a Free Demo is offered. The page says "All pre-built websites are included in a one single theme," so templates are not sold one at a time. The main site's copy states that it also creates "websites and web applications," beyond the theme.

Who it suits and who it does not

BeBuilder suits freelancers and small agencies building WordPress or WooCommerce sites for clients. Starting from one of 700+ prebuilt sites and editing it live is faster than composing a layout from scratch. A shop owner who wants control over the shop archive and product page templates gets that through the Woo Builder without a separate store product. People who care about page weight will find the stated speed numbers a reason to try the Free Demo.

It is less obvious for anyone who does not want WordPress at all, since it is a theme-based product and the builder arrives with Betheme rather than as a standalone service. The 80+ elements and many template builders also give you a lot of surface to learn, and a site designed around a prebuilt layout will look like that layout until you change it. Developers wanting code-first control will find custom CSS, classes and IDs, but the product is built around the visual editor.
