What Wati Is

Wati is a no-code chatbot builder and customer messaging platform centered on WhatsApp. Its chatbot page promises "AI-powered, human like chatbots for every use case" and invites teams to build custom WhatsApp chatbots in minutes, and the surrounding product covers the WhatsApp Business API, campaigns, a team inbox, ads that click through to WhatsApp, Instagram automation and WhatsApp Business Calling. It is built for marketing, support and sales teams that want to automate customer journeys on messaging channels without code. The footer names the company behind it as Clare.ai Limited, and the automation page calls Wati one of the fastest growing WhatsApp Business Solution Providers.

The English page asks teams to engage customers "by dispensing the right information at the right time across your marketing, support & sales touchpoints." The same product page is published in Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and other languages, and one heading says the platform is trusted by the fastest growing brands in India.

What You Build and How

Building a bot. The chatbot page offers two routes. "BYOC (Build your own WhatsApp chatbots)" means selecting from the pre-built chatbots library and getting started within minutes. For a complicated flow, the second route is to "Trust our team of Chatbots experts," who help bring the bot to life. A Chatbot Library sits in the resources menu as the starting point.

Scale of a flow. A short table on the page sets Wati's chatbots against unnamed "competitor chatbots." Wati's column says it can automate up to 200 steps, interconnect multiple WhatsApp chatbots, and offer integrations and APIs with full documentation. A single bot can run to 200 steps, and bots can be linked, so a long journey can be split into pieces that hand off to one another.

AI. The product menu lists an AI support agent that answers and resolves queries instantly, and "Wati AI," described as "The Conversational Intelligence Layer" with Copilot, AI Agents and BYOA. An AI Lead Qualification ROI Calculator in the free tools ties the AI agent to lead qualification.

Channels and surfaces. Beyond the bot, the product list gives the places a flow can sit inside.

  • Click to WhatsApp ads, described as turning ad clicks into chats and improving ad performance.
  • Campaigns, described as personalized sends with strong delivery rates.
  • A team inbox that puts all sales and service chats in one place.
  • WhatsApp Business Calling, which the site describes as turning WhatsApp into a full voice channel.
  • Instagram automation for DMs, comments and leads.
  • Instagram and Facebook Messenger, TikTok Business Messaging, multiple WhatsApp numbers and Coexistence, all in the product menu.
  • A catalog, custom notifications and a chat backup tool.

Integrations. The integrations menu names HubSpot, Zapier, Zoho CRM, Shopify, WooCommerce, Pabbly Connect, Make (written "Make aka Integromat"), Klaviyo and Zoho Flow, along with a WhatsApp Shop, a Chat Backup and a Google Sheet sender. The WhatsApp automation page goes deeper on Make. It calls the Wati-Make integration "a powerful no-code solution for WhatsApp automation" that connects the WhatsApp Business API with various apps, and it says you can integrate WhatsApp with over 500 apps on Make, such as CRMs, payment gateways and e-commerce platforms. The examples are concrete: send a message automatically when a new row is added to a Google Sheet, build custom automation flows for repetitive tasks inside Make, send and receive WhatsApp notifications, enable two-way messaging between a business and its customers, and collaborate with your team on Make by assigning tasks. The FAQ adds managing orders, updating CRM records and scheduling messages to the list.

Developers. For teams that want to go beyond the visual builder, the page describes "well-documented integrations & APIs," and the resources menu links Developer Docs.

Use cases. The solutions menu groups use cases as Wati for Marketing, Wati for Support and Wati for Sales, plus eLearning, E-Commerce, Marketing Agencies and Healthcare. That tells a reader building a store assistant, a class enrollment bot or a clinic reminder flow that the vendor expects those cases. A testimonial from Ashwani Agarwal, Chief of Staff at Vedantu, says Wati's automations and chatbots streamlined many processes along its students' path through their courses, adding: "We're extremely dependent on them."

Plans, Pricing, and Limits

The calls to action read "Start 7-day free trial" and "Free 7 day trial." Plan names and prices sit on a pricing page these two pages link to but do not reproduce.

The figures the pages give are these.

  • 7 days for the free trial.
  • Up to 200 steps of automation in one bot.
  • Over 500 apps reachable through the Make integration.
  • A review band, shown on the localized versions of the automation page, rating Wati 4.8 stars from 140+ reviews.

The WhatsApp Business API sits behind everything here, and the free tools include a "WhatsApp Conversation Pricing Calculator" for estimating message costs. The other free tools are a WhatsApp Broadcast Score Calculator, a WhatsApp Chat Link Generator, a WhatsApp QR Code Generator and a WhatsApp Chat Button Generator.

Learning and support. The resources menu lists Wati Academy and a Udemy course, both marked free, plus ebooks, Watipedia, customer stories, WhatsApp templates, a community and a help center. The partner menu lists a Value Added Reseller Partner program, a Tech Partner program and an affiliate program, and a "Get the app" link points to a mobile app. The customers menu names Habuild, Vedantu, ENI Networks, Bowaba, ProMujer and Blacklyf as customer stories.

Who It Suits and Who It Does Not

Wati suits a marketing, support or sales team that does most of its customer talking on WhatsApp and wants one vendor for the bot, the campaigns and the shared inbox. An e-commerce team gets named Shopify and WooCommerce connections and a catalog feature. A team that runs paid social can use Click to WhatsApp ads to land leads in a chat. An agency has a reseller program and the Make link to wire client accounts into other systems.

The step ceiling is a real number a builder can plan around. 200 steps in one bot is room for a long qualification or booking flow, and linked bots extend it.

The caveat is that the headline feature is tied to WhatsApp and its sibling channels (Instagram, Messenger and TikTok), so the bot is at its best where customers already message on those apps. The 7-day trial is short, so plan the first flow before starting it.
