What It Is
Wooclap is an interactive quiz and audience-response platform for teachers, trainers and the people who run sessions for employees. The company's quiz-maker page defines a quiz maker as "a tool that lets you build interactive questionnaires accessible from any web browser" and says it delivers real-time results, automatic statistics and a more engaging experience than a paper quiz. The about page says the company is headquartered in Brussels, with a distributed team across Europe and North America.
It is not a general no-code builder. What you build here is a session: a set of questions, polls and prompts that participants answer from their own devices while you teach, train or present, or that they work through on their own. The site sells separate education and business plans, so the same product serves a lecturer and a corporate trainer.
What You Build and How
The editor starts from the question. The home page describes 3 steps: pick a question type, every learner responds, and you see the full picture. It says you can select from over 20 question types to match your learning objectives. The quiz-maker page names multiple-choice questions, open questions and fill-in-the-blanks among them. You create an account, choose the types, write your questions and launch. Participants join through a simple link or a QR code.
AI sits on the authoring side. The company says AI can suggest the right format, generate questions from your materials or help build visual activities. You can import a document (a course, a PDF, notes, or even a video or website) and Wooclap AI generates a set of relevant questions, and you keep full control to edit, remove or enrich them before launching.
Live sessions add a layer the pricing pages itemize. A message wall lets participants post questions or comments during a session. Participants can answer on the web or by SMS to a local number. AI brainstorming suggestions offer ideas to spark discussion, an AI brainstorming summary groups participant messages into themes, and AI follow-up questions are generated from what people answered. An attendance sheet tracks who was present, and a moderator mode lets you control a session from a second device and moderate content. Activities can also run live or self-paced, as the LMS page notes.
The forms side of the product is the questionnaire itself: structured questions that collect answers from a group and report them back as results and statistics.
Wooclap fits into the tools where sessions already happen. The business plan page lists PowerPoint, Google Slides, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and LMS integrations including Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard. The home page says you can embed interactive polls and quizzes into your slides and collect responses without leaving PowerPoint, add interactions to Google Slides and run them live, and run sessions inside Teams meetings and training sessions so participants respond without switching platforms. The business plan page lists Zoom as well, for virtual engagement.
For learning systems, the LMS page covers grade handling. After a session you choose what goes to the LMS gradebook: results (score), attendance or participation, converted to percentages. In Canvas, you can launch live or self-paced activities inside the course, with scores in the Gradebook and secure SSO for every student. Wooclap connects to any LTI-compatible LMS, including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and Brightspace, and the setup is done by an administrator using LTI standards. Moodle users can also import an existing question bank: export it as Moodle XML and use Import event, From Moodle, in a Wooclap account.
Branding is handled in the plan tiers. You can add your logo to the event screen, create your own theme with brand colors, fonts and backgrounds, or use predefined themes. Organizational templates let a team publish reusable templates across the organization.
The Evidence
Scale. The about page lists 50 million people using Wooclap (teachers, trainers, students and employees), 150+ countries, 1000+ organizations and institutions, and 6 languages in the app: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch. Its team spans Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Finland, Canada and the United States. These are the company's own figures.
Plans. The site separates an education plan page from a business plan page, and both use the same ladder. Starter is free with "no credit card required": 20+ question types, unlimited participants, the presentation tool integrations and 5 questions per month. Basic adds unlimited questions, self-paced sessions, export of results in PDF and Excel, and question import from Excel, Moodle, Brightspace and Wooflash. Pro, sold per presenter per month, adds the AI-powered sessions, team collaboration, custom branding and moderator mode. The top tier is Corporate on the business page and Campus on the education page, "Starting from 6 presenters" and sold by quote, adding LMS integrations, SSO / SAML / CAS, the analytics dashboard and dedicated onboarding. The comparison table counts 21 question formats on every plan. A presenter is anyone who presents content and receives answers, the plan admin included, while participants are not counted. The FAQ puts the Starter, Basic and Pro plans at up to 1,000 participants per event, with larger events handled on Corporate or Campus. All subscriptions are billed annually, excluding VAT, and can be canceled by turning off auto-renewal at least 48 hours before the renewal date. Payment is by credit card, SEPA for EU users, or bank transfer on the top tier. The plan cards show no figures in the prices, so the cost is set at checkout or in a quote; the education page also mentions a specific license for primary and secondary school teachers in France and Belgium. The LMS page adds that LMS integrations are "available with Enterprise plans and Institutional licenses", and the integrations page describes Custom plans as the route to SSO and LTI 1.3 LMS connection.
Security and administration. The quiz-maker page states that Wooclap is GDPR-compliant and meets the most demanding security and data-protection standards, and that institutions can get SSO authentication and tailored contracts. The business plan lists role-based access control, SSO / SAML / CAS and advanced team analytics through a dedicated admin dashboard. The integrations page mentions Single Sign-On including eduGAIN. It adds that students and teachers use credentials they already have.
Support. The business plan lists a help center, email and chat support, a dedicated customer success manager and premium onboarding resources.
Who It Suits
Wooclap suits a teacher or lecturer who wants to pause a lecture for a poll, a quick quiz or an open question, and wants results back right away. The PowerPoint and Google Slides add-ins keep that inside the deck, and an LMS connection sends scores, attendance or participation to the gradebook without manual entry. It also suits a corporate trainer who runs sessions in Teams or Zoom and wants the same question types, with an admin dashboard and role-based access for the learning team.
An institution with Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard or Brightspace has a clear path, though the LMS and SSO features sit on institutional or enterprise tiers.
Caveats are fair to name. The LMS integrations and SSO are tied to the Corporate and Campus tiers, which start at 6 presenters, and the free Starter plan's 5 questions a month is enough to try the product rather than to run a course on it. A solo creator who wants a quiz as a lead magnet on a website will find a product built around live sessions, classrooms and presentations. Questions can leave the platform, though: the plan table lists export of an event's questions to Excel or Moodle XML, and results and attendance to PDF and Excel.
