What it is

PengDrop is a no-code store builder for creators who sell digital products online. The site describes it as "The simple platform for creators to sell digital products online", and its FAQ says it is completely no-code: you create an account, connect Stripe, upload products and start selling through a visual interface. Its reader is a solo creator or small seller of ebooks, courses, templates, music, videos, software, design assets or presets who wants a short setup and a predictable fee.

The founder, who signs as Hama, tells the company's story on the homepage. Selling digital products himself, he watched 10% of his revenue disappear in platform fees every month ("On a $5,000 month, that's $500 gone") and built PengDrop as "A simple platform with a flat monthly fee and 0% platform fees." The footer says the product is made in Yorkshire, UK.

What you build and how

Setup. The homepage lays out 4 steps. Create your account, signing up free with email or Google, which the site says takes 30 seconds. Connect payments by linking Stripe or PayPal so money goes directly to you. Upload products: add files, set prices and customize your storefront. Then share your link and get paid on every sale. The company's line on skill level is "If you can use Google Docs, you can use PengDrop", and it says a store can be set up in under 5 minutes.

The storefront. Each seller gets a custom storefront at an address of the form pengdrop.com/yourname, and the homepage shows a wall of live seller stores. The company's comparison pages list custom domain support among PengDrop's features and say custom domains are included on all plans. Product listings are described as SEO optimized. The site's own comparison page lists "Limited templates currently" among the cons, so design control is modest, and the footer links a store builder page and a browse page where buyers can look through products.

What you sell. Any digital product: the FAQ names ebooks, courses, templates, music, videos, software, design assets and presets. Files up to 5GB are supported, the paid annual plan lists 10GB of storage, and both plans allow unlimited products. The homepage illustrates the range with an online course, an ebook offered as PDF, EPUB and MOBI, design templates for Figma, Notion and Canva, and software such as apps, plugins and scripts. A seller testimonial mentions multi-file uploads for sample packs.

Delivery and checkout. Delivery is instant after payment through automated download links. Embeddable buy buttons let you put a checkout on a site you already have instead of sending buyers to a separate store. Checkout takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, or PayPal.

Payments. This is the feature the company stresses most. Payments go directly to your own Stripe or PayPal account, and the FAQ says "we never hold your money." PayPal is pitched as the way to reach buyers in 200+ countries. Payouts follow your payment provider's own settings, which the site puts at typically 2-7 days. Standard Stripe processing fees, given as about 3%, apply to every sale on top of PengDrop's own fee. The comparison pages call this model seller-routed payments.

Analytics and mobile. An analytics dashboard tracks visits, conversions and revenue. A free PengDrop Seller app for iPhone, available on the App Store, gives existing sellers a mobile dashboard for revenue, visits, sales, conversion rate and recent orders, signing in with the same seller account.

Moving in. The FAQ says PengDrop supports CSV import from Gumroad, Sellfy, Payhip and other platforms: upload your products CSV and they are imported in minutes, and most creators finish a full migration in under 30 minutes. The comparison pages add that PengDrop offers free migration assistance.

What is not there yet. The features section marks a PengDrop Marketplace for buyer discovery and PDF stamping, which watermarks PDFs with buyer information, as coming soon. The comparison tables mark email marketing and an affiliate program as coming soon too. Support on the annual plan is by email.

Plans and proof points

The pricing is two options. The Monthly plan is free with a 5% commission per sale and no credit card required. The Annual plan is $89 per year, which the FAQ works out as $7.50 a month, with "0% commission forever", no signup fees, unlimited products, unlimited revenue, 10GB of storage, an analytics dashboard and email support. The FAQ says you can upgrade or downgrade anytime and cancel with one click. Monthly users can cancel immediately with no charges; annual users keep access until the end of their billing period, after which the store goes offline, and the FAQ says your data remains safe.

The break-even claim is in the FAQ: if you sell $1,780+ per year, the Annual plan saves you money compared with the 5% commission. The company also says there are no revenue caps or overage fees, and one comparison page states "0% PengDrop platform fees on the Annual plan, with no revenue caps." The same page lists "Simpler pricing" with one plan and no tiers as a reason to choose it.

The homepage reports that 1,000+ creators have switched to PengDrop. Testimonials shown on the page come from sellers posting on social media. One says that on a last £500 sale they kept it all. Another set up a store in under an hour and made £894 with 49 sales, adding that the analytics dashboard was exactly what they needed. A third hit 200 sales with payments landing directly in Stripe, "no waiting for payouts, no middleman holding my money." A Notion template seller says CSV import made the move painless, and a music producer selling sample packs praises multi-file uploads, instant delivery and the clean checkout. The company's own comparison pages also list itself as a "Newer platform", with a growing ecosystem.

Who it suits and who it does not

PengDrop suits a digital seller who wants the lowest platform cost and keeps funds in an account they control. A course creator, template designer, music seller or software author with steady sales can pay $89 a year in place of a percentage, and a beginner can start on the free plan and stay there while sales are small. A seller with an existing catalog elsewhere gets a CSV import path and migration help.

The caveats come from the pages themselves. It is a newer platform with a limited template selection, and email marketing, an affiliate program, buyer discovery and PDF stamping are not live yet. It sells digital products only, so physical goods and print-on-demand are outside what it offers. A team that wants a visual app builder or workflow automation will not find them here. One comparison page also quotes PengDrop's 0% option as $15 a month on annual billing or $20 monthly, which does not match the $89 a year on the homepage, so check the pricing page before you buy.
