What PageGPT is

PageGPT is a no-code chatbot builder for website owners. Its home page states the job in one line: "Train an AI chatbot on your content. Crawl your docs, PDFs, or URLs. Embed a smart chatbot on any page." The result is a bot that answers your visitors' questions around the clock from your own material, and the company says the whole path takes under 5 minutes on average. The home page describes the product as "built for website owners" and say no engineering experience is required, so the reader it fits is a site owner, a small business or a freelancer who wants an answer bot without a developer.

What you build and how

The product has one editor flow, and it is short. The home page lays it out in three numbered steps.

  1. Create a chatbot. You give the bot a name, pick a color and set a welcome message.
  2. Add your data. You paste a URL, upload a PDF, or drop in a sitemap, and the AI is trained on that content. The page also mentions pasting custom content as an alternative to uploading a file.
  3. Embed and go live. You copy one script tag, paste it on your site, and the chatbot is live.

Underneath those steps are six named features, and each one explains a part of what you get.

The Website Crawler reads all the pages on your site and indexes them, so the chatbot "always has the latest content". The 1-line Embed is a single script tag: the widget loads, initializes and handles everything itself. Streaming AI means real-time streaming responses "powered by DeepSeek with RAG retrieval for accurate, grounded answers", so the bot retrieves passages from your content before it replies. The Secure and Isolated feature lists domain restrictions, rate limiting and iframe CSP isolation as built in, with no extra configuration. Analytics tracks conversations, message volume and the most popular questions visitors ask. Fully Customizable covers custom colors, icons, welcome messages and suggested questions, so the widget matches your brand.

That list tells you what kind of builder this is. There is no flow canvas, no visual logic and no database to design. The data layer is the knowledge you feed it, the logic is retrieval over that knowledge, and the design control is the widget's look and its starter questions. What the visitor experiences is a chat widget on a page that answers from your content, with suggested questions to get them started.

The blog fills in the practical detail through short guides dated June 2025. One shows how to change colors, icons and welcome messages to match your brand. One shows how to point PageGPT at your XML sitemap to index all pages at once. One covers copying the embed snippet onto any web page, which the post says takes under 2 minutes. One covers training on PDF documents and text files for a richer knowledge base. And one is a getting-started guide for creating a first chatbot and training it on your site.

The site has a free start, a support link and an affiliate program in its navigation. It is an answer bot, and the company describes it as one: everything on the home page is about turning content into answers on a web page.

Plans, limits and claims

Pricing is shown on the home page under "Start free, scale as you grow", with the notes "No hidden fees. Cancel anytime." A single rule explains the content limit: 1 page equals 2,500 characters of content, shared across all your chatbots.

  • Free, $0 forever. 1 chatbot, 100 messages a month, 30 pages total. No credit card required.
  • Basic, $7.99 a month. 3 chatbots, 500 messages a month, 250 pages total, custom color and icon, and file uploads for PDF and TXT.
  • Starter, $19.99 a month, marked most popular. 10 chatbots, 2,000 messages a month, 1,000 pages total, removal of PageGPT branding, custom color and icon, and PDF and TXT uploads.
  • Pro, $49.99 a month. 30 chatbots, 10,000 messages a month, 5,000 pages total, removal of PageGPT branding, full analytics and reporting, auto resync and priority support.

Read the ladder carefully, because the limits move in different directions. Full analytics, auto resync and priority support are listed only on Pro. Removal of PageGPT branding is listed from Starter up, not on Free or Basic. On the Free plan, 30 pages are shared by your one bot, so a larger site will outgrow it quickly. And messages are counted per month, so a busy site is a reason to look at the higher tiers rather than the free one.

The home page also carries four headline stats: 5 min average setup time, 24/7 answers, 1 line of code to embed, and "Free" to start with no card needed. The closing banner repeats the offer: "Create your first chatbot free. No credit card needed. Live in under 5 minutes."

Security is described through the isolation features above: domain restrictions so the widget only runs where you allow it, rate limiting against abuse, and iframe CSP isolation between the widget and your page. Those are built in, the page says, with "no extra config needed".

Who it suits and who it does not

PageGPT suits a site owner who wants a trained answer bot at the lowest cost of entry. A blogger, a small shop or a documentation site can start on the Free plan, test with real visitors, and move to Basic at $7.99 a month when 100 messages stops being enough. An agency with several small clients has room to grow on Starter or Pro, which allow 10 and 30 chatbots, and Starter is the first tier that removes PageGPT branding from the widget.

It is a weaker fit if you need the bot to do things, such as booking, selling or handing a chat to a person: the product is built around answering from content. The home page names DeepSeek as the model behind the streaming answers, with retrieval from your own content on every reply. For a simple, grounded website bot it does the one thing it claims; for a sales agent or a support desk, you would look further.
