What PerfectApps is

PerfectApps is a no-code platform for building web apps, web forms and workflow apps, aimed at the subject matter experts who know a business process best rather than at professional developers. The company's site frames it as "Web App Development & Workflow Automation" with no code required, and says experts can build enterprise-ready web apps "in days or weeks instead of months".

It is sold to HR, finance, sales, IT and support departments that want to turn a process into a working application without joining a development queue, and to IT teams that want to hand those departments a controlled builder. The footer reads "PerfectApps Inc. A division of Harris Computer Corporation".

What you build and how

The editor is a visual designer. The no-code platform page describes a canvas where you "drag & drop pre-coded elements" to build user interfaces, then define workflows, add business rules, integrate with other systems and create reports, all in one tool. The company's shorthand for the sequence is Design, Deploy, Integrate and Report. On the design step the home page says you "drag and drop to create a pixel-perfect user interface, map the workflow and add business rules for your enterprise-ready web app." The company says the platform handles anything "from a simple one-page app to a sophisticated multi-stage workflow solution."

The site groups what you build under three application types: web apps, workflow apps and web forms.

Workflow apps. For a reader coming from the process-automation side, this is the heart of the product. A workflow is configured with stages, roles, groups, conditional logic and business rules. At each stage you can trigger notifications and escalations, which the company presents as the way to keep a process on track and ensure process compliance. A record moves from stage to stage, different roles act at different steps, and a stalled item escalates. The home page lists the workflows departments build this way:

  • HR: hiring and onboarding, personnel action requests, time off approvals and performance reviews;
  • Finance: expense reporting, capital expenditures, purchase requisitions and invoicing;
  • Sales: customer relationship management, lead tracking, pipeline reporting and quotations;
  • IT: security access requests, project management, security and compliance, and asset management;
  • Support: ticket reporting, issue routing, escalation tracking and surveys.

Web apps and forms. For a reader coming from the app-builder side, the same editor produces responsive web apps accessible across desktop, tablet and mobile. The company says you can tailor the mobile experience with adaptive, flexible design options, so a form laid out for a wide monitor can be optimized for each device. Web forms are the simplest case: an intake or request form whose submissions feed a workflow.

Reports. Reporting sits in the same workspace. The home page says you can "Create custom reports and informative dashboards without coding" and turn collected data into real-time, interactive reports that give visibility into workflow processes. The person who builds the intake form can also build the view that shows how many requests are open at each stage.

Integration. You connect apps to popular web apps through an API and integrate with databases and directory services. The company does not print an integration list on these pages, but a testimonial from Houston Community College names the kind of sources customers connect: "Active Directory, PeopleSoft, CSV, or any structured databases."

Publishing. The site says you deploy "with just a button click", and that once launched an app can be embedded in a web page or accessed by sharing a link. That covers an internal tool reached through a link and a form embedded in an existing intranet or public page.

Hosting. The platform runs in the cloud, or you can host it on your own server, a choice the site ties to "your security requirements and budget." The home page labels the two options Cloud and On-Premise. For a team whose data has to stay on its own network, that is a stated option rather than a custom deal.

Change over time. The scalability pitch is that apps stay "easy to modify and scale as requirements change and workflow processes evolve", without coding.

Plans, security and proof

The site publishes no prices or plan names. It offers two ways in: a free 30-day trial, started by filling in a sign-up form with name, email and a password, and a 30-minute demo booked through a "Request a Demo" button at the top of every page. The trial is time-limited and is not a free plan.

On security, the no-code platform page lists safeguards: single-use tokens, secure SSL connections, database encryption, firewall protection and intrusion detection monitoring. It says PerfectApps "is hosted on dedicated servers with a US-based, industry leading provider, who meets audited security requirements and standards," and links an Architecture and Security page.

The home page shows usage counters for active users, notifications per day and app submissions, under the line that customers are driving critical workflow processes on the platform. Named testimonials come from Ametek, Fidelity Investments, Houston Community College, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the City of Palm Beach Gardens. Jeff Young, Corporate Director of HR Systems and Payroll at Ametek, says "It’s enabled automation for over 25 processes and counting!" Jason Harrell of Fidelity Investments describes it as "a key part of our customer on-boarding process." David Crump, Systems Manager at the City of Palm Beach Gardens, calls it a "Reliable platform, unmatched versatility, a drag & drop ‘no code’ solution for non-technical end users to utilize and excellent customer service." David Miranda of Los Alamos points to "a friendly staff of experts" behind the product.

Support is reached through a Support section, a contact form and live chat, with a Blog, Case Studies, a How It Works page and Professional Services listed in the navigation. Professional Services is the route for teams that want the company's help building.

Who it suits and who it does not

PerfectApps suits an operations, HR, finance or administrative team with a defined process, a clear owner and no developer time to spare. If the job is routing a request through several roles, notifying people at each step and escalating when it stalls, the stage, role and escalation model describes exactly that. It also suits an IT group that wants to give departments a governed builder, connect it to a directory service, and keep the option of hosting it on its own server.

It is a reasonable fit for public-sector, education and research organizations, which is where several of the named references come from, and for any security-conscious organization that has to choose where an app runs.

It is less obviously suited to a solo founder or freelancer who wants a public marketing site or an online store. The pages describe web apps, forms and workflows for internal processes, and the demo-led route is built for teams. Budgeting starts with the trial or a demo, since no price is published.
