Ondeva

Tap a star to rate

Ondeva is a full-stack low-code platform for building custom software through a visual builder, from internal tools and data apps to client portals and full-scale platforms. Its homepage headline is "Build custom software, now 10x faster - without code and dev queues", which is the company's own claim. The audiences it names are founders, enterprises, agencies and freelance developers, and it says any business can build software from the ground up with it or extend its core systems with custom external and internal apps. The footer credits individee GmbH, and the site says it has been building software without code since 2015.

What you build and how

The homepage says Ondeva covers the entire full-stack, from UI design to data management and deployment, with the company handling infrastructure management, security and updates. You do not set up servers: the call to action reads "No infrastructure. No coding." The product breaks into four feature areas, Design, Data, Workflow and AI, and the site is offered in English, German and Portuguese.

Design. The site describes "a visual composer to build the backend and frontend". A property-management page adds that you design pages, construct logic, data tables and APIs "with no code required", that everything from complex logic flows to automations is built visually, and that you drag and drop flexible low-code components rather than code from scratch. Founders are told they can "Build real apps and prototypes visually - drag, drop, connect, and show to investors."

Data. Ondeva promises a data service to "create complex data models and manage data securely". On the property page it expands: you upload datasets, build tables and manage data, and on the front end you can show dynamic updates to users through graphics, maps and CSV downloads. Reporting is part of the same layer: the property page describes detailed reports on occupancy, financial performance and maintenance history, with customizable dashboards and exportable reports.

Integrations. The property page says you can manage multiple API integrations, data points and workflows in one place, move records to the cloud, extend existing systems and bring the tools in your stack together. Its property accounting example integrates with an accounting tool for processing rent payments, vendor invoices and owner distributions.

Workflow. The homepage line is "Automate everything - from onboarding to complex logic". The property page frames it as customizing and creating new workflows without developers and automating processes and tasks. Its example is tenant maintenance requests, where tenants submit issues and track their status in real time while managers assign work orders, schedule vendors and keep service histories.

AI. Two uses are named. One is to "Fill pages with AI content or turn any app into an AI app". The other, on the property page, is automatic content generation for web pages, emails and buttons, plus integrating large language models into your own applications to build AI-augmented software.

Collaboration. You add team members and build together. Roles and the visibility of each app area can be set according to a member's development or business experience, and version control coordinates edits within the team. That split matters for a mixed team, where a developer and a business user work on the same app with different views.

Portals. The portals membership comes from the agency pitch on the homepage: "Build client apps and portals without extra dev hires. Increase project volume for profitability." The property page shows what a portal can look like. Tenants get self-service functions to access information, make requests and send messages to management, while managers work from dashboards built on the same data. A CRM module tracks interactions with prospects, tenants, owners and vendors, organizes leads and automates follow-ups.

Scale and day-to-day use. The property page says scalability "is built into our product" so an app can go "from tiny to tremendous without any interruption", and that the company takes care of the infrastructure resources. It pitches the product as one you build once and evolve anytime, starting with a simple idea and adapting as priorities change. The homepage also pitches a "fewer-clicks zone", with no endless dashboards, so builders stay focused on the app rather than on tooling.

Use cases. The navigation lists Local Government, Property Management, Accounting Software, Custom Healthcare, Law Firm Management and NGOs and Non-Profits. Under Strategy it lists Platform-as-a-Service, System Integration, MVP, Risk Management and Analytics-as-a-Service. The property page is the use case described in detail. It covers rent collection and payment tracking, tenant screening and onboarding, rental contract and lease management, maintenance tracking, property accounting, financial reporting, vacancy marketing, and document storage and e-signatures, and it says you can build one standalone function or a platform that centralizes everything. On cost it claims you can build custom property management software "10 times cheaper and faster than traditional development", again the company's own estimate.

How the company works with you. The property page also describes a four-step service flow of Assess, Build, Deploy and Manage. The company analyzes the project, develops the software "in line with your requirements and budget using our proprietary low-code platform", deploys continuously starting with the most essential features, and if needed provides post-release support and a long-term partnership with your non-technical users. So buyers can either build themselves or have the Ondeva team build on their behalf.

Claims, plans and customers

The homepage says "Ondeva runs behind Germany’s leading bank, a global NGO, and a 5-million-user citizen platform for startups and entrepreneurs". Claudia Menz, CEO of Gründerplattform, is quoted saying the start-up platform was "envisioned as a large-scale project built with ondeva. It was a complete success!" The homepage carries a second quote from her praising its "rapid prototyping and efficient scaling capabilities". These are company claims, and the bank is not named.

Hosting and security are stated plainly. The site promises "Data stays in the EU", on "GDPR-compliant infrastructure, with all data stored securely within the European Union", with security by design so that "your data is not accessible by default". The property page says "Ondeva is 100% GDPR-compliant" and that no manual privacy settings are required. The homepage also promises "99.9% Uptime, Guaranteed", describing it as guaranteed availability for business-critical operations. The enterprise pitch reads "Digitize operations securely. Let teams move fast - without risking compliance or tech debt."

On price, the pages offer "Build for free with ondeva" and invite you to "create your first app - on us", and a Pricing link sits in the navigation. The site publishes no plan names or prices on these pages.

Learning and support resources are an Ondeva Blog with in-depth articles, documentation, video tutorials, an Academy for "the basics, features, and functions", free webinars with an expert, and a "responsive customer support team". The page promises that "If you run into any issues, we will be here to support you."

Who it suits and who it does not

Ondeva fits an organization that treats EU data residency as a requirement. Local government, a nonprofit or a business serving European customers can point to the stated EU hosting and GDPR position, and the homepage's examples, a bank, an NGO and a large citizen platform, are organizations with real governance needs.

Agencies are the second fit. The role and visibility controls, version control and portal pitch are written for people building apps for clients, and the homepage frames the benefit as more projects without extra developer hires. A founder can also use it for an MVP or an investor prototype, and the free start lets a team build a first app before talking to sales.

Developers get a narrower story: the homepage says the platform lets them "focus on real engineering instead of infrastructure" and take on more freelance work, but the pitch centers on the visual builder. Budgeting needs a look at the pricing page or a conversation with the company, and for complex builds the property page's service flow, where the Ondeva team builds and supports the software, is a different engagement from building it yourself.
