What it is

Toolmark AI is a no-code builder for AI tools. You assemble a small application around one or more AI prompts, such as a resume analyzer or a cover letter generator, and then share it by link, embed it in your own website or list it in a marketplace. The company's site says the drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to build AI tools "without any coding experience", and it names creators, marketing managers, small teams and businesses as the people it is built for. Its use-case pages lean toward career services, coaches, recruiters, bootcamps and universities that want to give an audience an interactive tool rather than a PDF.

The about page describes the idea as a bridge between complex AI technology and the everyday creator, and as a marketplace where creators can share and monetize what they build. It does not name a headquarters city or country.

What you build and how

The editor is a drag-and-drop builder. The home page says it builds both AI tools and Chrome extensions, and the pricing page lists a no-code AI tool builder and a no-code Chrome extension builder as 2 separate entries on every plan. A tool is built around prompts. You define your own AI prompts, chain several of them together for multi-step interactions, and feed in data from the user or from actions earlier in the flow. The use-case pages add that you can start from pre-built templates and finish a working tool "in minutes".

The model layer is a menu, not a commitment. The home page lists GPT-4o, Dall-E, Google Gemini, Midjourney, Llama and Mistral, "and more", and says you can change models with a click. Tools can generate text, images and voice, and the Starter plan lists text, image, voice and video models. The use-case pages mention GPT, Google Gemini, Llama and Dall-E as the models behind one tool's output.

Examples from the company's own pages show the shape of what gets built. The career-development page describes a resume analyzer, a STAR story builder, a mock interview simulator, a cover letter generator and skill assessments. The cover letter tool works by having the user drag in a PDF or paste resume text, then add the job details. The tech-interview page adds system design practice tools. These are use-case pages with sample tools, so treat them as starting ideas, not a count of ready-made templates.

Integrations are lighter than on a general automation platform. The home page says you can connect AI tools to the apps you already use, naming Zapier and Airtable "and more" to automate workflows. No other connector is named on the pages, so check the documentation for anything beyond Zapier and Airtable.

Design control is about brand. Pages say you can adjust colors, branding and content to match your organization's style and voice, and the home page says "Adjust everything to match your brand identity". The finished tool is what your audience sees: an input form, an AI-generated result and your branding around it.

Publishing has 3 routes. You can share a tool by direct link, embed it on your own site with an embed code, or list it in the marketplace. On the home page the company says the marketplace lets creators design and sell their AI tools, and the Starter plan includes using tools that other community members have published. Embedded tools can be tracked: the pages state that Toolmark AI provides analytics on how users interact with your tools, including engagement and usage patterns.

The navigation also points to documentation, a Learn section, a YouTube channel with tutorials and demos, and a referral program.

The evidence from the pages

Pricing is on its own page. There are 2 paid plans, each with a 7-day free trial.

  • Starter costs $29 per month. The page describes it as ideal for AI users and creators designing and publishing tools "mainly for personal use". It lists the no-code AI tool builder, the no-code Chrome extension builder, AI text, image, voice and video models, community-published tools, unlimited tool creation, unlimited tool publishing, and embedding on your site with a "Powered by toolmark.ai" badge.
  • Pro costs $99 per month and is described as tailored for creators, small teams and businesses. It lists the same builders and models, unlimited creation and publishing, and embedding on your site without any badge wording, plus "Whitelabel chrome extensions for a fee".

Both plans carry a fair usage policy, which the page explains as a guard against misuse. The numbers matter if you embed tools on a busy site. On Starter, each second of action execution time costs $0.002, the base plan includes usage up to $29, and going past that threshold brings additional charges. The pricing page gives overage figures for Starter only. You can change plans from the billing page, with the new plan taking effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and you can cancel from the same page.

A launch offer on the pricing page gives 70% off the first 3 months on top of the 7-day trial, with the coupon code NEWCUSTOMER. Whether it is still running is for you to check when you sign up.

One contradiction is worth knowing. The pricing page shows only the 2 paid plans, but FAQ answers on the use-case pages say Toolmark AI offers a free plan and that no credit card is required to get started. The pricing page does not list a free tier, so confirm what you get before you plan around it.

On customers, the tech-interview page carries a testimonial from a coding bootcamp saying that adding the STAR Story Builder and system design practice tools to its curriculum raised engagement, and the career page carries a quote from a recruitment firm's managing partner. These are the company's chosen testimonials. The pages give no user count and no compliance claims such as SOC 2 or GDPR, and name no hosting region. Support runs through a support email address printed on the pricing page. The pages carry a 2023 copyright notice.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Toolmark AI suits a creator, coach or small team that wants to turn one useful prompt into a shareable tool, and a career-services team, recruiter or bootcamp that wants candidates or students to use a branded AI tool on its own site. If you want a Chrome extension built without code, the platform builds those too. The marketplace is a real option for someone who wants to sell a tool rather than only use it.

It is a narrower product than a general app builder. The pages describe prompt-driven tools with embeds and analytics, and they say nothing about a built-in database, user accounts for your end users, mobile apps or code export. A team that needs a customer portal or a multi-table business app will need something else, and an organization that must see security certifications or an uptime commitment will not find any on these pages.

The usage-based fair usage charge is the main caveat. Heavy traffic on an embedded tool can push a Starter account past its included $29 of usage, so estimate your expected traffic before you embed a tool on a high-volume page.
