What it is

NoCode-X is an AI app builder with a full-stack workspace behind it. It is aimed at founders, freelancers and small business owners who want working software without writing code, and at developers who build for clients. The site calls it "The #1 No-Code solution" and sums up the promise as "Build it, Run it, Maintain it", with no code required. Database, backend logic, authentication and file storage live in one workspace, and the pages name Firebase and Supabase as the services you no longer need next to it.

The pages do not say where the company is based or when it was founded. They do claim that "over 1000+ of the world's best companies" are in good company with the platform, though no customer is named.

What you build and how

The starting point is a prompt. The site's headline is "Let AI build your software", and the AI covers the building step and later changes to the app. What it produces is not loose code. The company explains that its AI "generates secure abstractions", described as structured, high-level blueprints rather than raw code, and that these blueprints are then compiled into clean, secure, production-ready code. Its argument is that most developers cannot guarantee security, so letting an AI write an application directly is a risk. Its short version of the approach is "Automation with control. AI with accountability."

The part that separates NoCode-X from a pure prompt tool is the graphical programming language. Under the heading "No Code Drop-Offs. Ever." the company says that most AI tools hit a wall and then force you to write code. NoCode-X instead offers a visual language that gives you "full control logic, variables, functions, and APIs all visually". When the AI reaches its limit, you keep working in the same visual editor. For a non-developer this is the escape hatch that matters, because the fallback is another visual tool rather than a code editor.

The data and backend side is the other half of the pitch. The no-code page says NoCode-X "gives you everything: database, backend logic, authentication, file storage, and more", all natively integrated in one unified workspace. The same page talks about building "powerful automations for your workflows without stitching together third-party tools". For anyone filing this under app builders, that is the point: you describe a business app, and the data tables, server logic, login and uploaded files come from the same product rather than from a BaaS you wire up yourself.

The site gives a feel for what people build through its testimonials. A freelance developer describes custom order management apps and automated inventory tracking for a client in the food industry. Another freelancer describes applications for local governments covering regulatory compliance, permits and secure data management. A startup founder says the focus on reusability let the team build and iterate quickly. These are the site's own quotes, so they show what the company chooses to highlight rather than independent reviews.

AI is also something you can put inside the apps you make. The credit page says AI credits can be used "for everything AI-related in NoCode-X, from building your app with AI assistance to using LLMs inside the apps you create". So a finished app can call a language model, billed from the same credit balance.

Security is positioned as the core ingredient. Under "Security by Design" the company lists automatic data classification, Single Sign-On, strong authentication and access controls across the application lifecycle, and it describes the platform as "embedded secure coding and cyber resilience". A section titled "Tested security by industry leaders" shows 3 scores, 100/100, 91/100 and 100/100, without naming who tested what. Read them as the company's presentation of its results and ask for the underlying reports.

To learn the tool, the site points to the NoCode-X academy, documentation covering "all aspects of building apps without code", tutorial videos with step-by-step builds, and a Discord community for real-time support.

The pages do not mention templates, mobile app publishing, custom domains, code export or self-hosting, so a buyer who needs any of those should ask before committing. The site also invites visitors to join a Partner Program, without spelling out its terms.

What it costs and what the site claims

NoCode-X separates AI spend from hosting spend. AI credits cost "€1 per 1.000 credits". The company says there are "No subscriptions, no hidden fees, no artificial restrictions", and that you top up when you need more. As a yardstick it says a small application can be built for around 1800 credits using Rocket mode.

Hosting is priced separately and sold in "cores", with the line "Buy as many cores as you want & scale until you reach the stars". Two tiers are listed.

  • Free, $0 per month: 256 MB of storage, 0.5 GB of bandwidth per month, 1 developer and 5 minutes of CPU per month.
  • 1 Core, $24 per month: 10 GB of storage, 5 GB of bandwidth per month, 1 developer and 1000 minutes of CPU per month.

Beside these tiers the page shows controls labeled Scale Storage, Scale Bandwidth, Scale Developers and Scale CPU, plus an "Infinite Users" item. The pages do not give per-unit prices for those scaling options, so the cost beyond one core is not published on these pages. They also do not state a hosting region.

On trust, the claims are the security scores above, the "over 1000+" company figure, and the testimonials. No named compliance standard such as SOC 2 or ISO appears on these pages, and no GDPR statement does either. Support runs through Discord, the documentation and the academy.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

NoCode-X fits a solo founder or freelancer who wants a complete business app, with logins, data and file storage, from one vendor and who is willing to pay by credit rather than by seat. It also suits an agency or freelancer delivering client work, since the testimonials come from people doing exactly that. A small ops team that needs an order tracker or inventory tool will find the full-stack workspace more complete than a form builder.

The caveats are real. Hosting is metered in CPU minutes, and the free tier's 5 minutes per month is a trial allowance, not a place to run something live. AI credits are metered by use, so the cost of an app depends on how much you generate, and the 1800-credit figure for a small app is the only benchmark given. The security scores come without named testers, and a regulated enterprise would want the reports behind them. Teams that need code export, self-hosting or a named compliance certification should ask the company directly, because the pages do not answer those questions either way.
