What It Is

WS Form is a form builder that runs as a WordPress plugin. Its site describes it as "Smart. Fast. Forms for WordPress" and "Trusted by Developers. Built for WordPress," and the copyright line names Westguard Solutions as the company. It is a form tool in the plain sense: you build contact forms, calculators, multi-step applications and store-related forms inside the WordPress admin, then publish them on the site you already run.

The audience the pages address is the WordPress professional. The pitch is "Reduce Development Time. Increase Profitability," and the company says the plugin gives "the advanced functionality, developer tools, and flexibility to build sophisticated forms faster for WordPress." Freelancers and agencies who build many sites are the natural reader, though the no-code settings mean a site owner can use it without writing code.

What You Build and How

The editor. WS Form says it was "the first form plugin for WordPress to offer true drag and drop, resizable, breakpoint specific, multi-column editing." You lay out fields on a grid, set column widths per breakpoint. If a theme demands it, the plugin can render native Bootstrap and Foundation HTML instead of its own markup. Styling, validation, breakpoint responsiveness and accessibility are all controlled through settings, and the company says all HTML 5 field attributes are supported.

Fields and templates. The site cites 65+ field types, "no additional plugins or coding required." It also lists 100+ templates, and describes them as more than a static library: WS Form "dynamically creates forms that include your custom fields, repeaters, column widths and more." The integration with custom field plugins is described as deep and bi-directional, and ACF, Meta Box and Pods are named. The knowledge base also carries tutorials for ACPT, JetEngine and Toolset, plus WooCommerce.

Logic and calculation. The conditional logic claim is specific: 100+ different IF conditionals and 50+ context sensitive THEN/ELSE actions. The knowledge base gives concrete uses. Show shipping address fields when a "Use separate shipping address" checkbox is checked. Show an "Almost there!" message when a progress bar reaches 75%. Turn the form green when all required fields are complete. Fire an email action when a user clicks a button. Fire JavaScript when a field is clicked or changed. Push partial form completions to an email marketing connector such as Constant Contact or MailChimp. You add logic by opening the Conditional Logic sidebar at the top of the layout editor and clicking the Add icon.

Calculated fields use 200+ variables and functions, and built-in templates give single click forms for commonly used calculators. Repeaters are repeatable sections that "can contain any number of fields, conditional logic, calculations, cascading and e-commerce functionality," enabled by checking a Repeatable box.

Multi-step and conversational forms. Built-in multi-step options split a form into tabs, and logic can control the visibility of sections and fields. Conversational Forms and Save & Continue appear among the feature and knowledge base topics, so long forms can be broken up and resumed.

Testing. The debug console populates a complex form and submits it in a single click, and it includes detailed event logging and error management. The company calls it "Unique to WS Form." The console also logs all conditional logic activity in its Log tab, which helps when a rule does not fire.

AI. AI works in a few ways. "Create From AI Template" lets you describe the form in plain language and generates "a complete, editable form with fields, layouts, choices, conditional logic, actions, and more." The other route is a built-in MCP server: connect any MCP-compatible AI client to your site and you can "Build, edit, style, manage, and analyze forms using natural language, with no middleware or custom integration code." The company calls itself the first plugin for WordPress with native AI-powered form generation.

Developer surface. The feature list names Action & Filter Hooks, CSS Variables, Data Sources, Data Encryption and Certified Submissions, and the knowledge base documents a PHP API with sections for forms, fields, sections, submissions and tabs. That is the escape hatch for anyone who wants to extend a form with code.

Integrations. The homepage says "Click, Connect. 120+ Integrations." The knowledge base groups them under headings such as CRM, email marketing, payment gateways, cloud storage, page builders, spam protection, translation, analytics and support platforms. Google Sheets has its own tutorial category.

What the Pages Say

The company's site publishes no prices in its feature pages. The site has a Pricing link and a "Get WS Form" checkout, so plans exist, but no plan name, price or license limit appears in the text. Check its pricing page before budgeting.

Other claims on the site, all as the company states them:

  • 65+ field types and 100+ templates.
  • 100+ IF conditionals and 50+ THEN/ELSE actions.
  • 200+ variables and functions for calculations.
  • 120+ integrations.
  • Support through a ticket form and a contact page, with a Facebook group and a feature request board for the community.
  • A Knowledge Base, a Demo, Form Tutorials, a Changelog, a Form Template Library, a branding page and an affiliate program.
  • Data Export Request and Data Erasure Request pages, plus a GDPR section in the knowledge base. The pages do not state any certification.

No user count, customer count or founding year appears on the pages, and the pages state no hosting region or license type.

The homepage shows reviews from named WordPress community figures and users. Kyle Van Deusen wrote: "I've been blown away by the versatility of WS Form. It has made me feel like I have superpowers without ever having to write a single line of code!" BobWP of Do the Woo wrote: "WS Form is the ideal plugin for WooCommerce developers. It offers flexibility, control, and comfort for optimizing forms on clients' sites." A reviewer named Maryann R wrote: "Focus on accessibility is amazing too." Another reviewer wrote that "the support has been fast, reactive and efficient." These are the company's chosen testimonials, so read them as marketing.

Who It Suits

WS Form suits a freelancer or agency that builds WordPress sites for clients and keeps running into forms a basic builder cannot handle: quote calculators, multi-step applications, WooCommerce product forms, forms fed by ACF or Pods fields. The debug console and the logic library reduce testing time on that kind of work, and the hooks and PHP API mean a developer is not boxed in. Teams that send partial form data into Constant Contact or MailChimp will also find the use case spelled out in the documentation.

A site owner with one contact form does not need 65 field types or 100 conditional operators, and the depth of settings is the main cost of that power: there is more to learn than in a plain form builder. It is a WordPress plugin, so it does not suit anyone who wants a hosted form service independent of a WordPress site. And since the feature pages show no prices, a budget-conscious buyer has to confirm the license terms on the pricing page first.
