What uKit is

uKit is a website builder for business, built on a drag-and-drop editor and sold as 4 subscription plans. Its homepage headline is "Website Builder for Business. Do it yourself. It's easy!" and the company states its philosophy as "Creating a website should be easy and fun." The site is published in English, Russian, Portuguese, Romanian, Polish and Turkish, and the legal line reads Ucoz Media LLC, with copyright years 2015 to 2026. The company also lists other products under its name, uCalc, stepFORM, Divly and SurveyNinja.

What you build and how

You can "Start from Scratch" or "Use a Ready-Made Design." The homepage says the team "analyzed dozens of industries" to build the design library and shows "38 categories" and "350+ designs." The plan comparison on the pricing page lists "200+ professional designs" among the features of the plans.

The editor is "Easy Drag and Drop": "Just add and move elements however you want and instantly see the changes in the visual editor." The help center shows how deep the editor goes. Its Interface section covers pinned blocks, video backgrounds for a block and custom classes for a block or widget. Its Widgets section covers building your own header and footer, a separator widget, a cost calculator widget, and steps and timeline widgets. Design controls on the homepage are:

  • mobile-friendly output, with all designs described as 100% responsive
  • typography, using predefined font pairs or custom ones
  • color schemes, including your company's brand colors
  • a universal grid for consistent layout
  • "No limits": "enjoy unlimited pages, photos, videos or traffic"

The online store is the reason uKit also sits under no-code ecommerce. The homepage says "Start selling your products online today!" You can "configure the form to receive only important details on the order," specify delivery methods such as customer pickup or courier delivery, and offer "bank cards, PayPal and more." The help center adds articles on managing orders, creating custom promo codes for the store, building a product description page and building a product display. Store features are gated by plan: the eCommerce tier adds "Online shop" and "Online payment" on top of Basic.

Publishing is built in. The pricing FAQ says "uKit provides cloud hosting service, i.e. after you create a website it is already hosted with uKit, and once you publish it, it is available online." The plan comparison lists a custom domain such as site.com, unlimited domains, free SSL, automatic backups, DDoS attack protection and "Mail for your domain." The help center covers registering a domain, connecting one, how many domains a site can take, the uKit name servers, creating a backup copy, changing the favicon, hiding a published site from visitors, and changing the site's hosting country.

Promotion tools are on the homepage. "Our built-in wizard will tell you if your website is ready for promotion, while the integrated SEO settings will help you go in the right direction." You can connect Google Analytics, and the plans list "Goals in Google Analytics" and "Goals in statistics." The same section mentions "online chats, callbacks, newsletters, social media, and statistics." The help center has articles on adding a site to Google Search Console and on disallowing indexing for a page. Several help titles reference Yandex, such as a Yandex.Maps API key and Yandex domain email.

If you would rather not build it yourself, the homepage offers "Let Our Professionals Build It for You" at "$100." The help center says a turnkey website or online store is available "from $99" and help with an existing site "from $6." The pricing page describes the Custom Website service as "a ready-to-use website tailored specifically to your business needs," created by uKit's professionals "at a fixed price", and also offers to order a site improvement.

What the company's pages state about plans and claims

There are "4 plans: Minimal, Basic, eCommerce, and Pro," plus a free 14-day trial that "provides full access to the Minimal Plan's functionality." When the trial expires, "Your website will be kept safe, you can upgrade and go live at any time." The prices on the pricing page, per month on a 1-month term versus the discounted yearly rate:

| Plan | Monthly term | With the yearly discount | Yearly total | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Minimal | $9 | $6.30 | $72 | | Basic | $11 | $7.70 | $84 | | eCommerce | $13 | $9.10 | $108 | | Pro | $15 | $10.50 | $120 |

Discounts scale with term: 15% off at 3 months, 20% at 6 months, 30% at a year and 50% at 2 years. For Minimal that means $21 for 3 months or $42 for 6 months; for Pro, $36 or $72. The 2-year totals are $96, $120, $144 and $168 for the 4 plans. The page adds that an individual discount is available if you run a number of websites.

What each tier adds is spelled out. Minimal lists domain attachment, free SSL, 24/7 tech support, and hosting and backups. Basic adds "Extended statistics and live chat with the Support Team," an HTML/JS code embed, goals in statistics, dynamic text and a disabled copyright. eCommerce adds the online shop with a cart and checkout. Pro "More creative and coding possibilities for professionals" adds email campaigns and live chat support, which the page labels "(no AI)." The comparison table also lists cashless payment, SEO settings, custom color schemes, no uKit copyright, powerful statistics, image optimization, unlimited file storage and unlimited email notifications.

There is "100% money back guarantee within 14 days." Payments are protected with a "256-bit SSL Protocol," and the page names a bank card, PayPal or wire transfer, with the FAQ naming VISA, MasterCard and JCB cards. You can cancel any time from the Dashboard. An affiliate program pays you for attracting new users to the builder. Questions go to the team by email or through a feedback form, and the knowledge base is offered in English and Russian.

Who it suits and who it does not

uKit fits a small business that wants a conventional website, perhaps with a small shop, at a flat monthly price and without assembling hosting, SSL and backups separately. The tiers are easy to read: pick Minimal for a brochure site, eCommerce when you need a cart, Pro if email campaigns matter. The 14-day trial and money-back window make a first test cheap.

It is a weaker fit for builders who need app logic or a database behind their pages: uKit is a site builder, not an app platform. Custom HTML and JS embeds arrive only from the Basic tier, so a developer who wants to drop in code should skip Minimal. Store features start on the eCommerce plan, and email campaigns sit on Pro alone, so a shop that also wants newsletters needs the top tier.
