What it is

AppMySite is a no-code mobile app builder for turning a website or online store into an Android or iPhone app. Its homepage presents it as an "AI mobile app builder": "Build Android and iPhone apps with AI using our free app maker, without coding." The company is AppMySite, Inc., with an address in Middletown, Delaware, and it says it is trusted by 800,000+ users worldwide. The main reader is a store owner or site owner who already has a Shopify, WooCommerce or WordPress site, or any website, and wants an app. The second reader is an agency, since there is a builder for making client apps under its own brand.

The pages describe the app output as "Android, iPhone & PWA apps" for "Google Play & Apple App Store", and add the line "Always updated and compliant." The footer carries a "WooCommerce Certified Partners" badge, and the start button says "Get started for free. No credit card required."

What you build and how

AppMySite is organized by product, and each product is a different starting point.

  • Website to app: "Convert any website into an Android or iPhone app with web views."
  • Shopify to app: "Convert your Shopify store into an Android or iPhone app."
  • WooCommerce to app: "Convert your WooCommerce store into an Android or iPhone app."
  • WordPress to app: "Convert your WordPress website into an Android or iPhone app."
  • Custom mobile app: "Create a native Android or iPhone app without a website."
  • Agency app builder: "Create apps for clients under your own brand and domain."

That list is why the entry sits in website-to-app converters, mobile apps and the Shopify ecosystem. The features page says you build native Android apps (APK and AAB files), iPhone and iPad apps (IPA files), installable Progressive Web Apps, and even a website for the app.

Store connectors. For Shopify, the AppMySite plugin connects the store and syncs products, collections, product tags, menus, reviews and ratings, inventory, customer addresses, shipping methods and tax settings. The app gets smart search, filter and sort, wishlists, discount badges, an out-of-stock watermark, coupons, native checkout with the store's payment gateway, and order tracking, plus a catalog mode that shows products without checkout. The WooCommerce plugin syncs simple, variable, virtual and external products and categories, and the WordPress plugin syncs pages, posts, categories, tags, custom post types, custom taxonomies, comments and user registration.

Web views. The website route uses WebView screens, and the product's FAQ is frank about what that means: "Your app can only be as fast as the website it loads." The company says AppMySite adds no latency of its own, and that a slow app means checking site speed, hosting, database performance, scripts and media. The in-app browser features on the pricing page include any website domain, any web page, CSS overrides to adjust mobile web views, custom scripts, session and cookie management, and auto-login. Forms that work on your mobile website, from contact and booking forms to login and checkout forms, can work inside the app "as long as they work properly on your mobile website". If you change domain later, you update the URL connected to the app.

Native features and integrations. Push notifications run through Google Firebase for basic sends (rich notifications, scheduling, device targeting, deep links) or OneSignal for advanced ones with user groups and insights. Google AdMob adds in-app ads, in-app purchases sell digital products, and the pricing page says "Keep 100% of your earnings" with no commission. Google Machine Learning powers full-app translation. In-app chat connects Zendesk Chat, Intercom Chat, LiveChat, Tawk.to Chat and HubSpot Chat, so users can "contact you without leaving the app." Design tools include an app icon designer, a splash screen designer and a consent screen, and paid plans can remove AppMySite branding "for a fully white-labeled app." A super-app option combines several apps into one.

Testing and publishing. You preview the app in a simulator, test on real Android and iPhone devices, and rebuild as many times as needed with instant build processing. The pricing page lists publishing to Google Play, the Apple App Store, Huawei AppGallery, Xiaomi GetApps, OPPO App Market, vivo App Store, Tencent MyApp, Baidu Mobile Assistant, 360 Mobile Assistant and the Samsung Galaxy Store, and the features page adds the realme App Market. Assisted publishing is manual or automated depending on the plan.

Plans, pricing, and evidence

The web-to-app pricing page has monthly, yearly and lifetime billing and says "Save up to 29%." The Free plan is $0 and covers 1 Android app with 1,000 downloads, conversion of any website, the in-app browser, customizable design, real device testing, push notifications, monetization features and team collaboration, with no commission on sales. Starter is $69 a month and adds unlimited downloads, faster build times and no AppMySite branding. Pro is $129 a month and adds 1 Android and iPhone app and the consent screen prompt. Premium is $249 a month and adds advanced push notifications, combining apps, language translation, app analytics and easier publishing. Billed yearly, the 3 paid tiers show $49, $99 and $199 a month, and lifetime one-time payments of $1999, $2999 and $5999. The plan comparison lists unlimited app users, push notifications, page views, transactions, data sync and storage, with team seats of 2, 3 and 5 users across the paid tiers. Tabs switch the table between Web to App, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce and Custom apps.

The support rows in the comparison are a community, guides and FAQs, live chat and email, with phone support marked as an add-on. The site also keeps a product roadmap, a "What's new" page and a reviews page, and the features page says "Trusted by 800,000+ customers."

Who it suits

AppMySite fits a merchant or publisher with a WooCommerce, Shopify or WordPress site who wants an app in the stores without writing code, because each of those has its own plugin and sync. A small business can test the idea on the free Android plan before paying. Agencies building apps for clients can use the agency builder, which keeps the apps under their own brand and domain, and teams that want reach beyond Google Play and the App Store will find a long list of Android stores.

The caveat is the WebView model for plain websites. The app loads your live site, so a slow or poorly adapted mobile site makes a slow app, and the company says so itself. The free plan is Android only and capped at 1,000 downloads, and an iPhone app starts at the Pro tier. If your product needs deep native behavior that a website can't reach, the custom mobile app route or a developer is the better path.
