Softr

Tap a star to rate

Softr reads the structure of a connected Airtable base or spreadsheet and turns it into pages, lists, detail views, and forms, with user accounts and record-level permissions layered on top so different logged-in users see only their own data. Prebuilt blocks for common patterns, a client dashboard, a job board, a directory with filters, cut setup time down to hours rather than days for a fairly standard portal.

Pricing is per user seat, tiered by how many logged-in members a site supports, so a portal serving a small client roster stays cheap while one opened up to hundreds of members climbs the tiers. Since the actual data still lives in Airtable, Google Sheets, or a similar external source, migrating away from Softr mostly means rebuilding the interface rather than exporting records, which softens lock-in noticeably compared to a closed all-in-one builder. The ceiling is custom logic and design flexibility, Softr’s blocks are fast but formulaic, and a portal needing bespoke interactions usually outgrows it. It fits agencies and small teams building a client portal, community directory, or internal dashboard on top of data they already keep in a spreadsheet tool.
