What Builderfly is

Builderfly is a hosted ecommerce platform for sellers who want a store, a presence on social channels and marketplaces, and optionally their own mobile app, without writing code. The company describes itself as "India's First Go-ONLINE PLATFORM" and lists contact lines for the USA and India; it names Razorpay, PayPal and Paytm as payment gateways, sells through Amazon and Flipkart, and says it follows RBI guidelines on billing. The reader it serves is a founder or small business owner building a first store, a seller who wants to be on marketplaces and social media from one dashboard, and a small team that wants the store and a customer-facing mobile app from a single vendor. The company also recruits resellers and influencers into its own network, which gives the platform a second audience beyond direct store owners.

What you build and how

You build an online store, and optionally a mobile app, then connect both to the channels where you sell.

The store editor. The company says you can "Build your online store within five minutes." The ecommerce builder page offers two routes: "Start from scratch or choose from our designer-made templates," using what it calls the world's most power-packed design editing tool. For people who want more control, it says "we also offer complete access to edit your site's HTML/CSS code." The page describes the result as "mobile-friendly," the footer links a Store Themes page, and the home page says "every template comes with its own intuitive settings" so each facet of the storefront can be customized. For sellers who would rather not do the setup at all, a "Get a Free Consultation" offer and a "Go Live Now" pitch say the Builderfly team will help you get online. You can start selling directly after setting up the account without connecting a domain of your own. Connecting your own domain needs a plan, and the FAQ says you can add a personal domain at any time, though the store name you first register cannot be changed.

Catalog and operations. The company states that there is no limit on the number of products or variations: "You can create as many variants as you like to and add all the required product attributes." A "One-Management" system gives an overview of products, orders, customers, shipping, payments and sales channels in one place, so you are not switching between dashboards. Customer management keeps customer information organized, lets you download reports about the customer journey and build customer groups for a personalized experience. Abandoned cart recovery sends shoppers a link back to their cart. Builderfly Analytics provides sales reports, return reports and detailed product reports.

Payments and security. The company says it supports "all the major payment gateways from around the globe," and names Razorpay, PayPal and Paytm "among many others." Hosting is cloud-based, and the company states 99.98% uptime with constant monitoring. Bandwidth and storage are unlimited: "We will not charge you based on the number of visitors or web traffic in your store." An SSL certificate secures transactions, logins and data transfer.

Selling channels. The home page says you can sell "On Website, On Facebook, On Google," and the menu adds Amazon and Flipkart, a live stream channel, a reseller channel and an influencer channel. The company's wording is "selling through social channels, marketplaces along with your own online store and mobile app." A live-selling feature lets you stream across social channels while you demonstrate products. For promotion, the site lists Facebook, Instagram and Google advertising, with email marketing, SMS marketing and WhatsApp sharing "all bundled with your subscription." It also claims a 10,000+ network of resellers and influencers for expanding sales channels.

Mobile apps. This is the reason the product also sits in the mobile-apps category of this directory. Two separate things exist. First, a Store Management App lets you run the business from your phone: "Manage your business from anywhere, at anytime." Second, the company offers a customer-facing app. Its wording is "Add one more asset to your business by creating your mobile app and increase your net sales. Personalize your app in your way and widen your market reach." Build, in the navigation, lists Online Store and Mobile App as the two things you create, and "Sell on your mobile app" is one of the channels. The two are pitched as one package with the web store: the same catalog, orders and customers sit behind the store, the app and the management app, under the One-Management dashboard.

Plans, claims and support

Trial and pricing model. The FAQ says "you can opt for Builderfly - a 7-day free trial," under which you can create your store and try the platform features without charge. Another answer says "Builderfly charges you a very reasonable transaction fees of 3% of your order value." A home page block headed "Start direct selling online for Free" is aimed at resellers, who can add products to a catalog and start selling straightaway. The menu lists Builderfly Pricing, an E-commerce Package and a Digital Marketing Package; the site publishes no plan prices. The FAQ states there will be "no recurring payments" on subscription plans because the company "strictly adheres to RBI guidelines," and a consultant helps you choose the plan.

Support and community. The company offers a free consultation with e-commerce consultants who help you pick a plan, a Help Center, user guides, tutorial videos, a webinar page and a Seller Forum. Its ecosystem list also names Builderfly Social and Builderfly Dukaan Finder, and the Join Us menu has separate routes to join as a reseller or as a partner. The blog covers seller topics such as Gen Z marketing, relationship intelligence, augmented reality in ecommerce and dynamic pricing.

Who sells on it. The home page lists the kinds of shops it is built for: clothes, furniture, shoes, grocery, mobile accessories, electronics, art, handmade items, jewelry, cakes, toys and games, food, beauty and cosmetics, pooja items and digital products. A "Find Product" entry under Build points sellers and resellers toward products to list.

Who it suits and who it does not

Builderfly suits a small seller who wants a store live quickly and wants the same catalog on Facebook, Google, Amazon and Flipkart and optionally in an app. Unlimited products, unlimited bandwidth and the HTML and CSS escape hatch for tweaks suit a shop that expects its catalog to grow. A reseller or influencer looking to sell without stocking goods is also part of the audience the company recruits.

It is a weaker fit for a team that wants to compare plan prices before a first call, because pricing runs through a consultant. The product is built around a single catalog and its channels, so an operations team after custom data models or internal tools is better served elsewhere in this directory. Budget for the 3% transaction fee on top of the plan, since the FAQ charges it on order value.
