Ecwid

Ecwid adds a shopping cart, product catalog, and checkout as an embeddable widget rather than asking you to build a store from the ground up on its own platform, so an existing website keeps its design and content while gaining real ecommerce functionality bolted on. It also syncs listings across Instagram, Facebook, Google Shopping, and Amazon from one product catalog, which cuts down on managing inventory separately across channels.

Pricing is tiered by product count and features (multiple staff accounts, more sales channels) on the paid plans, with a genuinely usable free tier for a small catalog. Product data exports as CSV, and since Ecwid sits on top of a site rather than replacing it, there’s less to migrate if you switch ecommerce tools later, your actual website stays put. The ceiling is checkout customization and storefront design flexibility, both are more limited than Shopify’s, since Ecwid is fundamentally a widget rather than a full platform built around commerce. It fits store owners who already have a site elsewhere and want to add selling without rebuilding it on Shopify or a similar dedicated platform.
