What It Is

The HotelSmarters App Builder is a no-code admin panel for hotels. It is the design tool inside HotelSmarters, a hospitality technology product line from inoRain LLC, with a company address in Ararat, Armenia. It is built for hotel operators, general managers and revenue teams who want to design and change what guests see on three screens without filing a ticket with a vendor: the Interactive TV, the Guest App and the In-Room Tablet.

The company's own framing of the problem is that most hotels "juggle separate vendors, slow change requests, and generic interfaces they can't control." The App Builder is its answer: one panel, three devices, drag and drop, live preview, publish to every room.

What You Build and How

One editor for three screens. The builder manages the TV, the phone experience and the tablet from a single interface. You make a change once, preview it, and publish. The company says changes go out to every room in seconds, and that you can update "as often as you like." There is no developer in the loop, and the site says that explicitly: "No developers. No waiting."

The setup runs in five steps. The builder walks a new user from first login to publish:

  1. Add your brand: upload a logo and set theme colors, which carry across the TV, app and tablet.
  2. Design the home screen: drag and drop widgets such as a greeting, weather, room control, promotions and service tiles.
  3. Set up services: add and organize menus for in-room dining, spa, transfers, tours and other offerings, with prices and descriptions.
  4. Preview live: switch between TV, phone and tablet previews.
  5. Publish to every room.

The Interactive TV. The TV becomes a branded hub. You control every tile, menu and message on the big screen. You can add a logo and a personalized welcome greeting (the page's example is "Good Evening, Mr. Robert!"), arrange widgets for weather, room control, dining and promotions, build service menus, and add the streaming, music and entertainment apps you want guests to have. Theme colors carry the hotel's identity through the whole interface.

The Guest App. This is the mobile builder in the sense this directory cares about. You design the phone interface that guests reach "by scanning a QR code," with no download required. Your branding and home layout mirror to the phone and are optimized for mobile automatically. You choose which services appear (dining, entertainment, room control, transfers and messaging), reorder cards and categories to match what matters during a stay, and update content once so it syncs to every guest's device. Because nothing is downloaded, the guest's phone never needs an app store.

The In-Room Tablet. The builder lets you tailor the tablet layout to each property or room type. You lay out room controls, service ordering, concierge and feedback, build visual room-service menus with images and upsell prompts, and localize content so the interface adapts to each guest's language. The site pitches this as a replacement for printed compendiums and outdated menus. You can keep the tablet consistent with the TV and the Guest App or fine-tune it per device.

Data and integrations. Everything built in the App Builder connects to existing systems. The page promises real-time synchronization of guest data, preferences and services through the hotel's Property Management System, and a single control hub for content, orders and guest data. The company's home page says it integrates and partners with guest room management systems, hospitality TV brands and PMS platforms, under headings for Building & Room Automation, Hospitality TV Brands and Property Management Systems. The site shows those headings without naming the partners, so ask for the partner list in a demo if your PMS or TV brand matters.

The wider HotelSmarters product line. The home page describes a centralized hotel CMS that controls every guest-facing screen from one dashboard, covering branding, themes, content scheduling and promotions through digital signage and in-room devices. Related products named on the site include Hotel Interactive TV, Hotel Casting, Hotel WiFi, Digital Signage, Hotel in-Room Tablets and the Hotel Guest App. Hotel Casting lets guests cast their own Netflix, YouTube or Disney+ content to the in-room TV using their personal accounts, with Chromecast and screen mirroring, no cross-room content leakage and an automatic session wipe at checkout. The company also publishes free calculators for hotel metrics: Occupancy Rate, ADR, RevPAR, TRevPAR, GOPPAR, CPOR and Average Length of Stay.

The Evidence From the Pages

The site publishes no prices. Its calls to action are "Book a Demo," "Contact Us" and, on the home page, "Request a Demo" with a free demo and no commitment. Budget conversations therefore happen with the company.

The benefits list on the App Builder page gives the company's own summary: No-Code Customization ("Design everything yourself, no technical skills needed"), One Panel for Three Devices, Live Preview ("See exactly what guests will see before you publish"), Instant Updates ("Push changes to every room in real time"), Fully Branded ("Your logo, colors, and tone on every screen"), Lower Staff Load ("Fewer tickets, fewer calls, less back-and-forth") and More Revenue ("Update promotions and upsells whenever you want").

The App Builder page also lists a PMS sync benefit set: real-time PMS synchronization, reduced front-desk workload, one control hub for content, orders and guest data, and a consistent experience across every device.

Whatever the page says about revenue is the company's claim, and the site gives no figures to test it. The page names no hotel customers, no hosting region, no compliance certifications and no API. The FAQ section on the App Builder page lists 7 questions, among them whether technical skills are needed, whether all three devices are managed from one place, how long it takes to publish a change and whether each property or room type can be customized differently.

The site also offers a blog, eBooks, a Partner Program, a Product Tour and a Changelog alongside the product pages.

Who It Suits and Who It Does Not

It suits a hotel operator, a general manager or a revenue manager who owns the guest experience and is tired of generic vendor interfaces. A promotion swap, a menu price change or a logo update is the kind of edit the builder is made for. It also suits a hotel group that wants one set of brand rules applied to TV, phone and tablet, with the option to tune a property or room type. Revenue teams get a direct lever: upsell prompts and promotions can change whenever the team decides.

It is not a general-purpose app builder. You will not use it to build a store, a course app or an internal tool, and it publishes a guest web experience reached by QR code, not an app you submit to the App Store or Google Play. A hotel that wants its own branded app listing needs to ask the company whether that exists, because these pages do not say. Teams that need to compare plans in advance will find nothing to compare, since pricing is only available through a demo. And because the real value sits in PMS synchronization, the experience depends on how well your PMS and TV hardware fit the platform's partner ecosystem.
