Thunkable

Thunkable builds native iOS and Android apps from a block-based logic system and a component canvas, with direct access to phone hardware, camera, location, sensors, Bluetooth, that many web-first builders don’t expose as cleanly. It connects to Airtable, Google Sheets, and Firebase for data, and supports custom API calls for anything beyond its built-in blocks.
Pricing is tiered by app count and monthly users, with a free plan that publishes a working app but leaves branding and some limits in place until you upgrade. There’s no source code export, so an app built in Thunkable stays inside Thunkable’s runtime and needs a rebuild elsewhere if you migrate later. The ceiling is visual design flexibility, the block-based logic is powerful for device features but the interface builder is less refined than FlutterFlow’s, and complex custom UI often hits a wall. It fits builders making a utility or hardware-aware app, think fitness trackers or location-based tools, who need real device access without a native development team.
