What it is

Zapnito calls itself a "B2B Community & Knowledge Platform", and its pitch is "A personalized community & knowledge hub for every customer." Its FAQ describes it as an enterprise platform that helps organizations educate, engage and retain their customers through knowledge sharing and community-driven experiences, combining customer education, expert-led insights and interactive communities in a single hub. It is built for revenue, customer success and retention teams at B2B companies that want a branded home for customers, partners or members, not for individuals starting a hobby group.

The company is Zapnito Ltd, at 66 Paul Street in London. The About page tells the origin: co-founders Charles Thiede and Jon Beer came up with the idea on a training ride for a Scotland coast to coast race, and the company has been running since 2015. The FAQ adds that Zapnito was first developed as an Expert Network marketplace before pivoting to a platform where trusted brands bring their experts and expertise together for their customers.

What you build and how

The hub. What you assemble is a custom-branded community and knowledge platform on your own domain. The homepage frames it in 4 steps. Centralize knowledge: custom branding and domain, articles, videos and documents, discussions, courses and events, and advanced search. Personalize engagement: custom groups and abilities, notifications and newsletters, public, private and secret rooms, topics and channels. Mobilize community: profiles and directories, @mentions and follows, private messaging and multi-contributor authoring. Optimize impact: analytics dashboards, integrations, SSO and social logins, and UK-based support with strategic guidance. You can create a single hub or several hubs of expertise, each with its own audience, and take full control of layout and access settings.

Use cases. The homepage names three shapes of build. Product communities give leads, customers or partners a place to get support, learn your products and share feedback. Professional communities let professionals share best practices, trends and successes. Expert network products create paid membership hubs with exclusive access to premium content and experts, which is the membership side of the product. The FAQ adds structured learning programs, shared resources, webinars and interactive educational content delivered inside the community, and experts, employees or partners contributing insights so that knowledge stays discoverable and reusable.

The member experience. The homepage describes what the finished hub does for 4 kinds of customer. A researcher can search all existing knowledge or find an expert to help with a specific challenge. A learner gets personalized suggestions based on interests and lifecycle stage. A collaborator can start discussions with ideas and questions, and a creator can share expertise with the right people in the right format. The About page explains the problem behind this: on a typical B2B website, the Resources link opens at least eight different rabbit holes, and the knowledge customers want is hard to find.

Who uses it. The FAQ lists typical customers: enterprise technology and software companies, professional services and consulting firms, industry associations and membership organizations, research, healthcare and life sciences organizations, and science, technology and medicine publishers.

Analytics. The homepage promises advanced analytics that show the activity of individual customers, groups and communities, with Engagement Dashboards, User Explorer and Data Imports. The data page adds content, event and email dashboards, and a custom analytics layer: enhanced automations, data feeds, data import and export, tracking codes and admin visibility, so you can send more targeted communications based on behavior.

Security and moderation. The homepage lists SSO, spam and profile moderation, data encryption and 2 factor authentication, and says Zapnito "maintains the highest security and compliance standards". The footer links a security policy, an accessibility page, a trust center and a status page.

Integrations. The integration area lists direct integrations, APIs and webhooks and custom SSO. The plan comparison adds SSO over OAuth2 or SAML, social logins with Facebook, LinkedIn and X, language translations, a data warehouse integration, a sandbox and custom integrations.

Launch and support. The homepage says the company offers commitment-free 14-day trials and, on average, helps teams fully launch their custom branded platform in just 7 weeks. The FAQ says the team works with you to structure the community, onboard users and set up content and programs. The support page lists a Success Team with 1-on-1 platform training, a launch roadmap, strategy reviews and UK-based support, plus enhanced services and help migrating from existing tools. A 10 minute video tour of the platform is linked from several pages.

The evidence from the pages

The pricing page is headed "Straightforward pricing that grows with your success" and sells three tiers, billed annually in advance, with prices given on request:

  • Essential: 2 admin seats, 500 to 2,000 registered users, standard support and quarterly strategy reviews, for growing communities with more advanced knowledge and group structures.
  • Premium: 5 admin seats, 2,001 to 10,000 registered users, priority support and monthly strategy reviews, for larger communities with more complex structures.
  • Enterprise: custom admin seats, 10,001+ registered users, custom support and guidance, priced to requirements.

The comparison table lists unlimited articles, videos and documents, removal of the "Built with Zapnito" badge, discussions, courses, topics, secret rooms, automated newsletters, analytics dashboards, a custom SLA, a launch plan, 6 week enhanced community success and migration support as the features that separate the plans.

On results, the homepage shows a figure of 2.9K user-generated posts per year and a +50% increase in customer NPS scores, without naming whose. Two testimonials appear: Laura Bineviciute, Head of Engagement and Knowledge Sharing, says Zapnito has "amazing capabilities to push customers towards the right content, at the right time", and Sherilyn Shackell, Founder and CEO, says the look and feel is "unique to us and we have been able to evolve it as our community has grown." The About page lists values of Ownership, Connection, Respect and Elevation, starting with "Our customers' success is our success."

Who it suits and who it does not

Zapnito suits a SaaS vendor, a professional services firm, a publisher or an industry association that wants a branded home for customers or members: a place to learn, ask questions, find resources and talk to peers and experts. The analytics, SSO, moderation and success team are aimed at an organization with someone accountable for customer engagement and a launch measured in weeks.

It is less natural for a solo creator or a small group who want a community live this afternoon. The entry path is a demo or a guided trial, the smallest tier starts at 500 registered users, and setup runs with the company's team. Configuration happens through branding, layout and access settings rather than a visual app editor, with the API and webhooks as the route for deeper work.
