What it is
Vodlix is a white-label video streaming and OTT platform. Its FAQ describes it as a white-labeled platform for high-quality video streaming and cloud-based OTT delivery for IPTV and VOD, and the site says you launch with no Vodlix branding at all. The product is for media owners, creators, educators, sports and faith organizations and any business that wants to sell video through its own subscription service rather than through someone else's channel. The homepage names religion, education, sports and healthcare as use cases, and says 200+ leading brands are growing their revenue with it.
An OTT service of this kind needs a website, a player, billing, a way to encode and deliver video, and apps for phones and TVs. Vodlix sells that whole stack as one product, and the homepage promises you can launch it with a "Zero Code Setup". The homepage says Vodlix was founded by Arslan Hassan, creator of ClipBucket (2007), and is backed by a team with over 14 years of hands-on experience in video streaming and OTT.
What you build and how
Web front end and themes. You build the public site with a built-in visual editor. The FAQ says it handles themes, colors, layouts and branding in real time, with customizable themes and templates, so a team without developers can shape the look. The feature list also names Custom Themes and a Website Front-end for the viewer experience.
Mobile and TV apps. This is where the mobile-apps side of the product sits. The platform pages list fully equipped iOS and Android apps, and TV apps that launch on Android, iOS, Roku and smart TVs. The FAQ says Vodlix supports web, mobile (iOS and Android), smart TVs (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG) and gaming consoles. It also says app deployment across 16+ platforms is handled for you. Vodlix also lists Mobile & TV Apps Customization and a Custom Plugin service for work the standard product does not cover. Vodlix claims 8 native apps for TV, mobile, casting and gaming, and says app previews are generated instantly.
Video, live and TV channels. The homepage lists video encoding and a CDN in 40 locations as part of the all-inclusive platform. The FAQ adds that adaptive bitrate streaming and a global CDN handle playback across devices. Live is a named feature: you can broadcast live TV channels, set up an Electronic Program Guide (EPG), run live events and deliver them across web, mobile and TV apps. Another company page says live streaming comes with DVR support, chat features and monetization such as pay-per-view and subscriptions. The product also supports a combined IPTV and VOD setup, live TV plus on-demand content on one platform.
Monetization. The Launch plan lists SVOD, TVOD and AVOD monetisation. The FAQ lists SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, PPV and hybrid models. On advertising, the company says pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads work with VAST and VMAP, and that AVOD supports VPAID as well. On payments, Vodlix says you can use its existing integrated payment gateways, and it also claims to integrate with any payment gateway.
Content metadata and analytics. A TMDB integration is pitched as the fastest way to pull in third party data. Reports & Analytics covers engagement, watch time, churn rate and revenue tracking, and the pages also claim AI-driven insights and AI recommendations.
Integrations and API. The FAQ says Vodlix supports integrations with payment gateways, ad networks, CRM tools and marketing automation through APIs. The company states API support is available in any plan, and the Grow tier lists a REST API and webhooks.
Hosting. You can run on Vodlix cloud, where content is managed in its cloud network with no deployment or configuration, or deploy on your own servers with an on-premise installation. The FAQ says both are available across all plans.
Moving in. Vodlix offers migration of content, customer data and user payments from another platform. The company says its team handles content transfer, user data import and platform setup without downtime.
The evidence from the pages
Plans and price. The homepage groups its plans into three families, with a monthly and yearly toggle where yearly billing gives 2 months free.
- Web & API (fixed monthly, no native apps, from $99 a month). Launch, "Get your first catalogue online and start selling", has a web and mobile-web player, SVOD, TVOD and AVOD monetisation, white-label on your own domain, 500 GB of bandwidth a month and 100 GB of storage. Grow adds advanced analytics, a REST API and webhooks, 5 TB of bandwidth and 500 GB of storage. Scale adds 4K, a headless API, wallet and staging, 25 TB of bandwidth and 2 TB of storage.
- Apps+ (branded mobile and TV apps, from $1,550 a month). Professional brings iOS and Android apps under your branding, live TV and FAST channels and the Vertex CRM Pro bundle, with 50 TB of bandwidth and 5 TB of storage, but no TV apps. Business adds Android TV and Fire TV apps, priority support and 25 admins, with 75 TB of bandwidth and 7 TB of storage. Enterprise adds Apple TV and Roku apps, LG and Samsung on agreed terms, 100 TB of bandwidth and 10 TB of storage. A Custom tier is priced to your catalog and audience, and the page says procurement and security reviews are welcome.
- Pay as You Grow ($0.99 per subscriber). It starts at $0 with no platform fee, charges only for active subscribers, includes the web player and REST API, handles billing, and is SVOD only, with 2 TB of bandwidth and 250 GB of storage. PAYG Apps adds iOS and Android apps for a monthly fee plus $0.99 per subscriber, and the page suggests moving to Professional past about 1,000 subscribers. Your first three billing periods have no minimum.
The FAQ promises transparent pricing with no hidden fees, the homepage says Professional and Enterprise plans carry no extra cost for mobile and TV apps, and an OTT Calculator on the site estimates streaming costs.
Trial and support. The FAQ says there is a free trial, and another company page gives it as 14 days. The homepage advertises a dedicated support team available 24/7 for setup, scaling and day-to-day operations, with premium support, documentation, a developers guide and streaming consultation in the menu. Prospects can book a personalized demo.
Customers. Testimonials on the homepage come from IkonoTV in Germany, Stirr in the United States and Pavilion+, whose Gian F. writes, "We highly recommend Vodlix to anyone looking to bring their platform to life."
Branding claims. The company describes "a 100% white-label OTT platform, allowing you to launch your branded streaming service with no Vodlix branding." The FAQ adds no watermarks and no third-party branding.
Who it suits and who it does not
Vodlix fits a media company, a faith or education organization or a creator with a real video library that needs apps on TV platforms, live channels and advertising, not only a paywalled course site. Teams that must keep content on their own infrastructure get the on-premise option, and teams with no IT staff can stay on the cloud. Because the pages describe the product as zero code, a non-developer team can run it, though the Custom Plugin and customization services suggest more complex needs are a paid engagement.
It is more platform than a simple membership site needs. The Web & API plan has no native apps, and branded apps start at the Apps+ tier from $1,550 a month, a large step from $99, though PAYG Apps offers mobile apps on a per-subscriber model. A coach selling one course may find a lighter membership tool cheaper to run. The FAQ describes a live editor that previews changes in real time, and the demo is the place to try it.
