What it is

Terrilink is a community and membership platform for associations that need a member directory, events, dues collection and messaging in one place. It is aimed at three kinds of organizers: people running an alumni network (schools, universities, grandes écoles), people running a diaspora (territories, associations, communities abroad) and people running a business club (entrepreneur networks and clubs). The product presents itself as French and French-speaking, with data hosted in France, and the founder is named on the homepage as Thibault Sabathier, a software engineer with 10 years of experience.

The pitch on the homepage is about consolidation. An association that chases dues by email or WhatsApp, and juggles 4 different tools for events, members and communication, is the picture the site paints. Terrilink replaces that stack with one space the administrators run themselves, without a technical team.

What you build and how

Terrilink is not a canvas or a code editor. You configure a ready-made community product rather than assemble one, so "building" here means switching on modules, filling the directory and setting your prices. The comparison page lists the community core as "directory, world map, events, payments, groups, messaging, newsfeed".

Directory, profiles and the world map. Members get profiles in a searchable directory, and the plan descriptions mention alumni profiles, a newsfeed with community animation tools, private messaging and full personalization. For diasporas the site's answer to scattered members is an interactive world map that shows members by country and city, so people can see who lives near them. A mutual aid and hosting feature, where members help members, is listed for diaspora communities. The comparison page also lists discussion groups, described as themed, moderated spaces, and a career center with an internal job board.

Events and dues. Events and Stripe-based dues sit in the paid plans. The site says Terrilink automates the reminders and the payment follow-up that organizers otherwise do by hand. Members pay online, and administrators follow who has paid from a single dashboard. For the payment side, the pages say Stripe's own fees apply, quoted as 1.4% + €0.25 per transaction on European cards, and that Terrilink takes no additional commission on that flow. You keep control of your own Stripe account and revenue.

Network Radar, the AI search. You ask a question in plain language and the tool scores profiles, detects bridges in your network (people who connect groups), suggests icebreakers and estimates the likelihood of a response.

CGE and CTI surveys. This is the feature that separates Terrilink from general community tools. French schools run standardized employment surveys, and Terrilink ships the CGE and CTI questionnaires ready to use, pre-filled from the directory, with smart sending of reminders and longitudinal follow-up from 6 to 30 months. Alumni answer in 2 minutes without creating an account, and results export to XLSX for reporting. The comparison page adds that the exports run to 29 columns and that national benchmarks are built in.

Alumni mentoring. Mentors and mentees are matched by field. Requests go through an accept-or-decline workflow, a dedicated conversation opens automatically, and an admin dashboard shows KPIs by period.

Management reporting. A "Valeur du réseau" dashboard compares value actions in the current year against the previous one and exports a PDF for the board. It also shows loss risk by segment, hidden ambassadors among your decision makers, and a Copilot Direction that summarizes it all in natural language. The homepage says this module is included in the Pro and Premium plans.

Recruiter Marketplace. This is a paid-listing feature for alumni and diaspora networks. A recruiter publishes a job offer and pays online through Stripe. You set the price per offer between €50 and €1,000, and the admin validates every offer before it goes live. Stripe Connect Express splits the payment automatically, with 80% going to your bank account and 20% to Terrilink, and Stripe handles the identity checks. The page gives an example of a €150 offer that pays out €120 to you and €30 to Terrilink, and the dashboard shows your net margin in real time. Offers already published keep the price they were published at, even if you change your pricing later. Disputes and chargebacks are handled through your Stripe Connect account under Stripe's terms.

Mobile, migration and data. The comparison page says the mobile experience is an installable PWA, not a native iOS or Android app. It also says you can import a member database exported from Hivebrite as CSV (members, groups and event history), that the switch usually takes less than a day, and that Terrilink supports the migration for free.

The evidence from the pages

Prices are in euros per month. The homepage lists Starter at €99 with a founder rate of €69, which it puts at about €2.30 a day, and Pro at €249 with a founder rate of €149. Starter covers the directory and alumni profiles, the newsfeed and animation tools, private messaging and full personalization. Pro is described as the plan for active alumni networks and is flagged as the recommended one. A separate Business Club plan carries a founder rate of €199 a month for the first 20 clubs, then a catalog rate of €299. The comparison page says the published range is €69 to €299 a month, with no commitment, cancel anytime, a 14-day self-serve free trial and no mandatory sales demo. A Premium plan also exists, and the pages tie to it the Recruiter Marketplace, which the FAQ says is included only in the Premium plan and activates automatically on upgrade.

The pages state that every plan includes hosting in France, GDPR compliance, automatic updates and email support. The FAQ says data is hosted in France (EU) and the platform is designed to meet GDPR requirements. A member's right to erasure triggers a cascade that deletes the profile and anonymizes personal data across the directory, messaging and events. Invoices and accounting data are kept for 10 years under an anonymous identifier, as French commercial law requires.

On ownership, the site says you remain the owner of your member data and can export the full member list at any time. Other exports, for events and content, are described as planned. The footer carries a SIRET registration number, which marks Terrilink as a registered French business. The pages publish no customer count and no uptime figure.

The comparison with Hivebrite is Terrilink's own and should be read that way. Terrilink says Hivebrite starts above €1,000 a month on a quote with an annual commitment, and it concedes the other side too: "On the community core (directory, world map, events, payments, groups, messaging, newsfeed), yes." It says Hivebrite offers more generalist modules, such as academies, custom job boards and numerous integrations, and frames its own advantage as depth for alumni and diaspora communities. Comparison pages also exist for AlumnForce, NetAnswer, Graduway, HelloAsso and Mighty Networks.

Who it suits and who it does not

Terrilink fits an alumni office, a diaspora association or a business club with anywhere from a few dozen to several thousand members, run by volunteers or a small staff, that wants its directory, events, dues and mentoring in one product. It fits especially well when a French school must file CGE or CTI employment surveys, because that work is built in rather than bolted on. The FAQ says non-technical teams can get started without training, and that hands-on help is available if you want it.

It is a narrower tool than a general community builder. The homepage and comparison pages are written around French-speaking associations, so an English-language community with no French audience gets little from the surveys, the French support and the hosting claims. The comparison page itself says Hivebrite has broader generalist modules and more integrations. The mobile experience is a PWA, so a community that insists on a native app store presence should check that first. And the founder pricing is limited, with the catalog rates higher than the numbers on the homepage, so budget against the second figure.
