What it is

DronaHQ is a low-code and vibe-code platform for building internal tools, admin panels, CRUD apps, dashboards, approval flows and field-force apps. Its home page says you get "web and mobile from one build." It is aimed at IT and engineering teams that want to hand the front-end work for internal software to a visual builder, and at operations and business teams that want apps without waiting in an engineering queue. The pricing page describes the product as "a low-code app development platform for building internal tools, admin panels, employee & partner portals, database GUI, dashboards, forms, processes, applications for mobile & web access."

The About page says the company "began in 2007 as a mobility solutions company" and that more than 15 years later it is used by global enterprises and fast-growing teams. It describes itself as an AI-powered developer platform. The site footer carries a copyright to Deltecs Infotech Pvt Ltd.

What you build and how

The offer has 2 halves. The home page splits them by domain. dronahq.com is "build the software": internal apps, admin panels, dashboards, workflows and automations, with Studio, Vibe code, MCP and "400+ connectors." dronahq.ai is "build the agent": agentic workflows, voice agents, data and RAG agents, with an Agent builder, Vocaloop and Codefactory and "500+ integrations." This entry covers the app platform, and mentions the agent side because it is part of the same offer.

The app builder is the low-code Studio. The navigation names a Logic Designer, Code Debug and Review, and Deploy, along with a dashboard builder, a form builder and a mobile app builder. Ready-made use cases are labeled Internal Apps, Embeddable Apps, External Apps, Custom Portals and Generative AI Apps, and solution pages are organized by use case (admin panels, forms, dashboards, database GUIs, CRUD) and by function (HR, customer service, marketing, IT management, BFSI and fintech, retail, manufacturing, healthcare).

Data comes in through the Connectors area. The integrations page says to "connect to databases, APIs and third party apps or simply bring your CSVs into our built in DB - Sheets," and that "your data never leaves your servers", with DronaHQ letting you "query and bind all your datasources on demand whenever your app runs." The pricing FAQ confirms you can configure multiple APIs under a single connector. DronaHQ also lists managed add-ons: a database, automation workflows, a PDF generator, file storage and MCP servers.

AI is a major part of the pitch. Vibe coding is the newest route. The home page line is "Claude code writes the app, DronaHQ runs it": you connect the platform to your IDE over MCP, and your coding agent gets "auth, RBAC, secrets, data access, hosting and audit with nothing to stand up." There is also a native AI app builder. According to the AI page, it first presents a business requirements document that you can iterate on or approve, then gives you "an editable app with screens, queries, bindings, and workflows scaffolded." The company contrasts this with AI generators that "help in producing quick code that often breaks with real-world use," saying DronaHQ scaffolds apps on a structured visual framework of reusable components instead. Kinds of apps it lists for the AI builder are admin panels, internal dashboards, CRM and loyalty apps, issue tracking tools and approval workflows. AI credits are consumed whenever you use the AI features, including generating new apps. Developers keep control: they "can add custom JavaScript, write queries, define workflows, and connect APIs as needed."

Chatbot and agent building lives on the AI platform side. The home page offers appointment booking, onboarding and customer support AI agents, a cart recovery voice AI agent (Vocaloop) and chat, voice and RAG agents in the list of things the ecosystem covers: "Everything you need to build, deploy and maintain Apps, Internal tools, CRUD, GenAI Apps, chat agents, voice AI agent, RAG agents." That is how the product reaches the chatbot builders category.

Mobile is the third membership. The pricing page table lists "Mobile app access" (end users reach the end user portal in the DronaHQ mobile apps), a "White labeled mobile app" described as a custom branded mobile app for end users, and an "Offline enabled mobile app" with offline access. The FAQ also says you can have white-labeled, custom-branded apps built on DronaHQ, on the appropriate plan, and the Enterprise card lists offline access of mobile apps.

The end-user experience is a portal. The pricing table describes web apps that users reach on an end user portal, with app catalogs to assign different apps to different users and groups, central app themes for the color palette, branding with your own colors and logo, and a custom domain for the portal.

Plans, pricing and compliance

The main pricing for apps is not per user. The pricing page headline reads "Unlimited users | Pay as you go at $0.002/task", with a toggle between cloud hosting and self-hosting and between monthly and yearly billing (the page says yearly saves "upto 33%"). Starter costs $140 per month billed monthly or $100 per month billed annually, and its card lists 25,000 Tasks/mo and 50,000 Tasks/mo, 300 AI credits, unlimited apps and connectors, Sign in with Google, 100+ UI components, rules and validation, version release and history, and reusable queries and APIs. Business costs $700 per month billed monthly or $500 billed annually, with 125,000 and 250,000 Tasks/mo shown, and adds app catalogs, app themes, data environments, custom domain and white-labeling, custom controls, SAML / OpenID Connect SSO and engineering calls starting from 10. Enterprise is custom pricing and adds custom connectors, granular permissions, audit logs, offline access of mobile apps, multiple SSO support and enterprise support. Extra tasks are $20 for 10000 tasks, extra AI credits are $10 for 5000, and the managed DronaHQ Database add-on is listed at $50 and $70 a month.

The FAQ defines a task as any server-side call such as a database query or API call, metered at 1MB per task, and says usage-based pricing on tasks or API calls is available under Enterprise. A separate table further down still shows user-based prices, Starter at $10/user/month and $12/user/month, Business Lite and Business at $25/user/month and $28/user/month, and Enterprise custom, under a note that "User-based" and "Developer-only" plans are arranged through the contact form. There, a user is anyone with their own login to DronaHQ apps on web or mobile, and all users in an account are billed at the same rate.

The free trial is "a one month free trial of business plan" with no credit card required, after which you pick Starter, Business or Enterprise. Non-profits, NGOs and educational organizations get 25% off Starter or Business. You can cancel from the support menu inside Studio and are not billed for the next cycle.

On compliance, the FAQ says DronaHQ "has achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance and has additionally been audited for GDPR compliance", with reports available to customers on request, and another answer says it is "SOC-II and ISO 27001 certified". All Studio plans include SSL encryption. Asked about HIPAA, the same FAQ says that for HIPAA compliance you can opt for the self-hosted version of the platform, and the feature table notes that Git based source control, pushing and pulling apps to a repository of your choice, is only on a self-hosted instance. Other rows include a Secret Manager integration, environment variables for secrets, platform APIs, usage analytics and audit logs of queries and admin events. You own your data and can export everything from Sheets on any plan.

Other answers that matter for budgeting:

  • Add-ons are bought as needed: "PDF builder, public forms, approval workflows, automations are a part of add-ons on DronaHQ."
  • Connectors count per data source, and you can add any number of APIs or queries inside one connector. The FAQ says DronaHQ offers over 50 out-of-the-box connectors, while the home page speaks of 400+ connectors.
  • You can build a SaaS app on DronaHQ, and a Partner Program exists for that.
  • Built-in storage is a database on PostgreSQL with a spreadsheet-like editor, 1GB in the table, plus managed file storage.

Social proof on the pages includes "From startups to Fortune 500s, the world's leading teams rely on DronaHQ to build internal tools" and a Customer Spotlight that reads "Selkirk ships custom GUIs 70% Faster." The AI page quotes a software engineer, Ben Hodde, saying "We've securely brought our Airtable, Zendesk, Shopify, and Brightpearl data into one unified portal. Our team works 50x faster now." These are the company's own featured statements.

For help, the site lists documentation, a forum, videos, blogs, live workshops and a book-a-session option. The pricing table describes 24 x 7 technical support through docs, the community or a ticket from Studio, a dedicated developer on demand for annual plans, technical advisor calls rising from 0 to 15, 30 and 50 across the columns, and professional services to build and manage your apps.

Who it suits and who it does not

DronaHQ suits an IT or engineering team that owns many internal tools and wants a governed builder with RBAC, connectors and a deploy path, especially when mobile and web both matter, such as a field-force app. An operations team can use the form, dashboard and approval-flow starting points. A developer who likes coding with an AI assistant can use the MCP route and let DronaHQ supply auth, hosting and audit. Teams that must keep the platform on their own infrastructure have a self-hosted option.

It fits less well for a solo founder building a public marketing site, since the examples are internal and portal-style tools. The published plans start at $100 a month billed annually, which is a real commitment for a small team, usage is metered in tasks, and several features, from approval workflows to PDF building, are sold as add-ons. The product also has two surfaces, dronahq.com for apps and dronahq.ai for agents, so decide which one you are buying before you start a trial.
