What Novacura Flow is
Novacura Flow is a low-code platform designed specifically to extend ERP systems. It is built for IT and operations teams at mid-sized and large companies that already run an ERP and need workflows, mobile apps and integrations around it without altering the ERP itself. The company says it has more than 15 years of experience implementing and enhancing ERP systems, and that it created Flow 15 years ago after watching the same problems recur. The home page calls Flow "an AI powered application builder, workflow/BPM engine, and integration layer in one," purpose-built to close ERP gaps without touching the IFS Cloud or Infor M3 core. Novacura also sells IFS itself: it has been an IFS Channel Partner since 2015, resells and co-sells IFS Cloud in the Nordic region and the Baltics, and offers implementation, upgrades and managed services. This entry is about Flow, the builder.
What you build and how
The company's own definition of low-code is a visual interface, simple logic and drag-and-drop features that let people without formal software development training create applications and business processes. Flow follows that model, and the benefits page lists what it adds on top for ERP work: deep ERP integration, mobility, support for a "zero ERP modifications" strategy, integration platform capabilities and business process management.
The company lists the general benefits of low-code as faster development times, reduced costs and more collaboration between IT and business teams, and says the logic is simple enough that both the app's creator and other business users in the organization can follow it. The zero-modification idea is the central pitch. Changes that would normally be made by altering the ERP are built in Flow instead, so the low-code apps are identified, kept in one place and do not complicate the ERP architecture. The company says that during an ERP upgrade you reconnect the low-code applications to the updated system rather than rewriting old modifications.
Mobility is a major theme. Flow offers dedicated mobile applications that can be installed on users' smartphones and tablets. The company says these apps can use the device camera, mobile printing, Bluetooth Low Energy connections to other IoT devices and files stored on the device, and that they can run in offline mode, which it ties to crews working outdoors such as technicians. The homepage describes mobile-first, ready-to-use low-code app templates for shop-floor reporting, order and schedule control, and quality and documentation on Infor M3, and a set of templates for inbound, in-house and outbound warehouse management. A separate offering extends Factory Track with workflow automation, cross-system connectivity and mobile apps that go beyond the warehouse.
The process side covers the BPM category. The benefits page says the ERP itself does not guide all users through a business process, which is the gap its BPM capabilities fill, and that master data editing can involve several users in a change approval process. Flow also has a native reporting toolbox for documents, labels and portals, and integration capabilities that connect the ERP with data from other business systems, with prebuilt connectors and APIs listed under Connectors and Integrations. Applications run "on any device, from rugged barcode scanners to phones to full dashboards," with barcode and RFID scanning and OPC UA and industrial IoT connectivity for the plant floor. A Marketplace offers ready-made applications to speed up time to value, and the company says Flow is delivered Evergreen, so new capabilities and security patches arrive continuously without disruptive upgrade projects.
AI sits in a framework the company calls AI on Rails. Developers can build apps visually or describe what they need in natural language, and the AI application builder returns a working, ERP-connected app. The company stresses that the AI generates a workflow, a structured sequence of steps assembled from Flow's own components, connectors and runtime primitives, rather than freeform source code. Every AI-generated app inherits the same security, role management, version control and audit trail as other Flow apps. Behind it sits what the home page calls the ERP Fusion Engine, "an AI model trained specifically on IFS Cloud's and Infor M3's processes, objects and APIs," so AI-assisted apps connect to the ERP correctly by default. The company's blog explains that the AI never gets a raw database connection or custom authentication logic to write; it composes apps from a fixed, pre-approved vocabulary of building blocks. AI also reaches end users inside apps: data grid analysis, document data extraction from PDFs and spreadsheets, and plain-language questions about live data. The home page also describes AI agents, and master data tools that normalize, harmonize and deduplicate data and query it across any connected ERP, database or system as native workflow steps.
Connectors, security and customer results
The home page counts "50+ connectors · 100+ ready-made apps on the Novacura Marketplace." For Infor M3, every app "connects natively through the Infor M3 REST API and standard MI programs," and the warehouse apps read and write M3's MMS, OIS and PPS transactions through standard MI programs and Infor ION, "no middleware, no custom API builds, no ERP modifications." For IFS, Flow is "officially recognized by IFS as a 'Partner Application.'" Novacura Flow Connect also lets IFS Cloud customers keep their Crystal Reports layouts running after IFS drops the built-in Crystal Reports plug-in, triggered from a Flow app or an IFS event, or move gradually to Flow's own reporting.
The site publishes no price list; contact runs through a form, and the company says a team member will respond within 1 business day.
On security, the company says: "We are ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified." The home page also says Flow can "run and scale applications securely in the cloud."
Named products round out the offer. Supply Chain Execution for Infor M3 covers receiving against purchase, distribution and return orders and ASNs, putaway, cycle counts, picking, packing and issuing deliveries. Manufacturing Execution covers reporting material issue, operation time and order receipts from the line. Novacura Flow for Factory Track handles approvals, exception routing and custom mobile screens around Factory Track transactions. Novacura Flow Invoice Automation handles AI-powered extraction, matching, approvals and e-invoicing compliance in IFS and Infor M3.
Customer results are the company's own figures. At Kohberg Bakery Group, mobile reporting cut average reporting time "from 2 min 53 sec to 26 seconds per transaction," an estimated "10,000 hours saved a year" across three factories. At Møre Trafo, orchestration cut claims by 35% and reclaimed "70+ hours" of paperwork a week. Nordic Paper, with 5 paper mills and 670 employees, migrated from IFS Applications 7.5 to IFS Cloud. One quoted customer reports "an average efficiency improvement of 33 percent for the period April to August." The company says it won IFS Channel Partner of the Year in 2022, 2019 and 2017.
Who it suits and who it does not
Novacura Flow suits a company running Infor M3 or IFS Cloud that has shop-floor, warehouse or field staff on phones and scanners, and that wants workflows and approvals the ERP does not provide. It also suits a team planning an ERP upgrade that wants its customizations kept outside the ERP, and an IT group that wants AI-assisted app building without handing the AI raw code. A manufacturer, a warehouse operator or a service organization with technicians in the field matches the templates and the offline capability the company describes.
It is a narrow fit for a founder building a standalone product, an agency building client sites, or a team with no ERP. The platform is built around IFS and Infor M3, and nothing on the site covers consumer apps, websites or stores. Budgeting starts with a conversation, since there is no public price list.
