Baserow

Tap a star to rate

Baserow structures data the same way Airtable does, typed fields, linked tables, multiple views, filters and sorts, but stores it in an actual Postgres database rather than a closed proprietary backend, which matters for teams that want to query or back up their data directly. A REST and GraphQL API ships with every base, so wiring Baserow into a custom app or automation doesn’t require a workaround.

Self-hosting is free with no per-user fee, since it’s open source, while the hosted cloud version prices by rows and collaborators for teams that don’t want to run their own server. Because the data sits in real Postgres tables, export and migration are far more straightforward than with most closed no-code databases, a genuine advantage on lock-in. The ceiling is a smaller integration and automation ecosystem than Airtable’s, and the AI and formula features are less developed. It fits privacy-conscious teams and technical users who want Airtable’s structure with real ownership of where the data physically lives.
