PluginChatBot

PluginChatBot is an AI chatbot builder for business websites, written for small business owners, consultants, tradespeople and online shops who want a chat assistant on their site without hiring a developer. The site's own line is "Build a free chatbot for your business in minutes, no code or technical expertise needed." The pages do not say where the company is based or when it started.

What you build and how

You build one thing here: an AI chat assistant that lives on your website and answers from your own business information. According to the site, the chatbot can welcome visitors, answer common questions, collect contact details, support online shoppers and let your team step in whenever human help is needed.

Setup is a three-step flow in the PluginChatBot app. First you choose the purpose of the chatbot, give it a name and decide where it will be used. Second you provide the information it should draw on and explain how it should communicate. Third you preview conversations, refine the responses and add it to your website using the right installation method. The FAQ describes it as filling in fields in the dashboard and adding business information, and says installing it is "a single snippet or plugin." In practice that is a no-code form builder for a chatbot rather than a visual flow canvas.

Several controls sit on each chatbot. According to the FAQ, you can choose the AI model per chatbot from the models available on your plan, set reply length and creativity so answers stay short and factual or run longer and more conversational, and add guardrails that name subjects the chatbot should not discuss, with a fallback message it uses instead. The homepage mentions brand colors, system instructions and safety guardrails for a branded experience. A Playground runs the real chatbot so you can read its answers and adjust instructions before any visitor sees it.

The platform supports more than one chatbot per account. Each has its own knowledge, personality, settings and website access, so a support assistant and a sales assistant can behave differently. The site lists specific management tasks: update business information so knowledge stays aligned with current products, services and policies, customize opening messages for each website, service or customer journey, control which approved websites can display each chatbot, and test before publishing. Changes are made from the app, "without rebuilding your website or managing separate systems for each chatbot." Every listed plan, though, covers 1 website and 1 AI chatbot, so the multi-chatbot idea is a feature of the builder and not what the listed plans include.

Publishing and platforms are straightforward. The site says it works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, WooCommerce and custom-built websites. The listed install routes are a website chatbot widget, a WordPress plugin or embed, and a universal embed. Dedicated pages cover each platform, and further pages cover solutions for customer support, e-commerce, sales, marketing, healthcare, lead generation, local business and small business.

Knowledge comes from your content. The Free Trial plan lists website content training, the Starter plan adds a basic FAQ knowledge base, and the Growth plan adds a knowledge base with file uploads. Lead capture starts as a lead capture form on the trial, adds email lead notifications on Starter and advanced lead capture fields on Growth.

Integrations are where the plans diverge. The homepage counts 5: HubSpot, WhatsApp Business, Messenger, Instagram and live chat handoff, and the tagline is to "Capture HubSpot leads and manage Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp conversations in one place." The pricing table puts them on higher tiers: Growth lists CRM integration, API and webhooks, Google Sheets and email marketing integration, while Business lists advanced CRM and API workflows, WhatsApp, Messenger and sales automation options.

The homepage frames the product around three jobs under "Built for Support, Sales and Lead Generation". For support, the dashboard is described as a place to "manage your customer conversations" and track performance. The builder section pitches an automated support assistant with your brand colors, system instructions and safety guardrails. The unified integrations section pitches syncing leads automatically and centralizing support across WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and HubSpot. For shops, the use case is helping shoppers with product questions, delivery, returns and buying decisions before checkout, and service businesses can answer service questions and collect contact details.

The evidence from the pages

The pricing section reads "Start with a 14-day free trial and upgrade when your business needs more support, integrations, automation, and higher AI usage."

  • Free Trial, $0 for 14 days: 1 website, 1 AI chatbot and up to 1,000 trial messages. It includes a website chatbot widget, WordPress plugin or embed, website content training, a lead capture form and basic conversation history during the trial. It has no CRM, WhatsApp, Messenger or API access, and support is by email.
  • Starter, from $29 a month, for simple websites: 1 website, 1 AI chatbot and up to 2,000 AI messages per month, with a basic FAQ knowledge base, email lead notifications and basic analytics.
  • Growth, from $79 a month and marked Popular: up to 5,000 AI messages per month, advanced lead capture fields, conversation history, a knowledge base with file uploads and priority email support.
  • Business, from $199 a month, for e-commerce and automation: up to 15,000 AI messages per month, advanced automation flows, live chat handoff, a monthly performance report, priority support and advanced analytics.

The homepage also states 24/7 support and "AI response times up to 90% faster", a company claim that the page does not explain. The pricing section offers a time-limited trial rather than a permanent free plan, and the footer links a Security and control resource, so ask about data handling before you load private documents.

Who it suits and who it does not

The product suits a small business that wants an assistant on its WordPress or Shopify site for questions, lead capture and after-hours replies. The listed audience is "Small businesses, tradies, consultants, and simple business websites" on Starter, and the 14-day trial lets you test it on the real site first. A shop owner can also use the e-commerce angle: helping shoppers with product questions, delivery, returns and buying decisions.

It is less suited to a team that needs several chatbots across many sites, because each plan covers 1 website. Message limits matter too: 2,000 AI messages a month on Starter will not stretch far for a busy site, and the channel links people expect from the homepage, such as WhatsApp and Messenger, sit on the $199 tier. If you need deep workflow logic or a visual flow editor, the pages describe a form-style builder instead.
