What Chatloom Is

Chatloom is a builder for AI agents aimed at customer-facing teams. You feed it your website, PDFs and Q&As, and it answers from that content on 7 channels: web, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Messenger, e-mail and Discord. The German homepage calls it "Der KI-Operator für kundennahe Teams" (the AI operator for customer-facing teams), and the English pages sum it up as "Grounded answers, real actions, every channel." It suits support and sales teams, online shops and small businesses that want one agent in place of a separate bot per messaging app.

What You Build and How

What you build is a single agent tied to one knowledge base, published to as many channels as you need. The site's pitch is that you can have a production-ready agent in under an hour: pick a template, connect your content and publish on every channel.

Knowledge and grounded answers. The agent is trained with a website, PDFs and documents, and Q&A entries. The knowledge base shown in the product preview groups help documents, policies, product info, FAQ, shipping and returns, a team guide and answer logic. The company says Chatloom answers "ausschließlich aus Ihren verifizierten Inhalten" (only from your verified content) and tells customers honestly when it does not know, and it labels the product "Halluzinationssicher by Design" (hallucination-safe by design). That is the company's own claim, shown through a demo. The demo shows each answer carrying a source, such as a shipping policy or a returns FAQ, and a confidence label: a grounded answer at high confidence, a partial match at medium confidence, and a case where a human is needed.

Free preview. The homepage offers a free live preview of your own AI agent built from your own website, without signing up. That is a quick way to judge answer quality before creating an account.

Actions, not just answers. The company criticizes chatbots that stop at answering: booking the appointment, opening the ticket and sending the follow-up e-mail is, in its words, where most chatbots stop, and it says Chatloom finishes the task. The site lists 16 built-in tools plus custom webhooks for this, and a feature area covering commerce and an API Studio. In the shop use case, current prices, images and stock levels are synced from your shop catalog, and the agent can show product cards in the chat.

Channels. One agent, the same knowledge base and the same workflows serve all 7 channels, with one inbox for your team and the promise of no loss of context between channels. The web widget embeds with a single line of code on any website, and the site shows Framer, Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, Wix and Next.js as places it embeds. WhatsApp connects through WhatsApp Business. Telegram deploys as a bot immediately.

Telegram in detail. The Telegram page is the most detailed. In Chatloom you open Channels, then Telegram, and press "Create my bot". Telegram opens its own creation window with the name and username filled in. You can also create the bot by hand with @BotFather and paste its token. An existing bot works too: paste its token and Chatloom registers the webhook, which means Chatloom takes over the answering if that token was wired to another tool. In groups the bot answers when a member mentions it, which the company says is deliberate to protect your quota. It reads photos, transcribes voice messages and attaches documents to the conversation. Outgoing it can send product cards with images and buttons, but not arbitrary files. Since May 2026 a Telegram user can also connect a bot to their own account under Settings, Chat Automation. You choose which chats it may answer, the AI steps back when you reply yourself, and the first answer in each chat says it was written by an AI. Creating a bot through BotFather is free, and the Chatloom subscription covers the AI processing, knowledge base and analytics.

Voice and language. You set the bot's tone (professional, friendly or casual), its name and description, and you adjust the system prompt to match your brand voice. Chatloom auto-detects the user's language and responds in it, in 95+ languages.

Handoff, contacts and data. When a human is needed, the demo shows a handoff marked as needing a person and a status saying the chat was forwarded to the team. The site says Chatloom is standalone, with its own contact management, conversation history and analytics, that it captures leads in conversations into that contact list, and that you can export leads or connect external CRMs. Your knowledge base is yours: the site says you can export, delete or migrate it at any time.

Guides and use-case pages. Beyond the channel pages, the site links dedicated pages on a WhatsApp AI chatbot, an Instagram AI chatbot, an AI agent for education and an AI agent for SaaS, plus explainers on what a RAG chatbot is and on multilingual AI chatbots. The company describes Chatloom as a "Dedicated AI chatbot with RAG accuracy", meaning answers are retrieved from your knowledge base rather than generated from nothing, and says it is completely standalone, so it works without a separate CRM.

Plans and Pricing

The homepage states a free plan that is free permanently, with the core functions and no credit card. Paid plans, priced in euros, are:

  • Basic, from 29 euros a month, with 5,000 messages.
  • Pro, from 79 euros a month, with 3 agents, 25,000 messages and a live support desk.

Annual billing saves 20%.

Who It Suits, and Who It Does Not

Chatloom suits a team that wants an agent restricted to its own documents and wants it on several messaging apps at once. A shop with a product catalog, a team that wants appointments booked and tickets opened, and a business with an audience on Telegram are the cases the site describes. The confidence labels and handoff in the demo make it easier to see where an agent is unsure, and the free plan and the no-signup preview let you test with your own content first.

Some caveats apply. The homepage text is in German and its prices are in euros, although English pages exist for channels such as Telegram. Pro allows 3 agents, so a business running separate agents for many brands will outgrow it. Message caps matter too: 5,000 on Basic is a real ceiling for a busy shop. The Telegram page says the bot does not send arbitrary files. And the hallucination-safe and action-taking claims are the company's own, so check them against your actual documents and tools before moving a support queue onto it.
