What BotGhost is

BotGhost is a visual builder for Discord bots. You make a bot in the dashboard, invite it to your server and design what it does with drag-and-drop blocks, with no programming. The homepage says "Build your perfect bot with our drag-and-drop builder", and the company hosts the bot for you so it "stays online around the clock with automatic scaling". It is aimed at the person who runs a Discord community and wants custom commands, welcome flows, role handling and moderation without learning a Discord library, setting up an application or finding a machine to run it on. The company says it counts 1.5M+ bot creators.

What you build and how

Command Builder. Commands are the part members see. The builder makes interactive slash commands with menus, buttons and modals from drag-and-drop blocks. The pages stress that a BotGhost command is a flow with options, conditions, buttons, forms and variables, where many bots offer a fixed reply.

Event Builder. Events are the automation side. You drag option, action and condition blocks into an event that fires when something happens on the server, and the pages list message events, member events, server events and voice events, plus an event that runs when a webhook is executed. They give examples such as welcoming new members, assigning roles, tracking boosts and emoji updates, and monitoring member status changes. The company counts 50+ event types and says 100M+ events have been triggered. Conditions support logic, and a single event can assign multiple roles. The event builder page lets you try a live demo of the block editor in the browser before you sign up, and describes the result as automations you can launch in minutes. The homepage adds that more integrations are coming soon and invites suggestions through the company's Discord server.

Marketplace and templates. A marketplace holds pre-made commands and events you can find and activate. The site also offers quick-start templates for launching a bot project within minutes.

Ready-made modules. The free plan lists moderation and automod with a full logging suite, tickets and reaction roles. In the Dyno comparison, BotGhost lists leveling as free, with XP, level-up messages, a leaderboard and an adjustable XP rate, though an ad-free leaderboard is Premium. Giveaways are a Premium module, and social alerts are Premium.

AI. The AI Discord bot page describes AI as one more thing a bot can do. The bot passes a message to an AI model, receives an answer and posts it, while every other command you built keeps working. Because the model reply is just another variable in the flow, you can place a condition in front of it. The page advises keeping facts in custom variables, such as a giveaway end time or who holds a role, and leaving the language to the AI, so replies read naturally without inventing details. Its FAQ asks whether a bot can generate images with AI, whether AI can help moderate a server, how to stop the AI replying to everything, and whether you need to host an AI bot yourself.

Hosting and identity. Hosting is included on every plan. The Dyno comparison lists your own bot name and avatar as free on BotGhost, where Dyno charges for its Custom tier, so the bot appears under your name from the start.

Other pages. An Active Developer Badge page walks through the old way to claim Discord's badge with a bot, and notes that it describes how the badge "used to work" before Discord discontinued it. It points visitors back to building a bot instead.

The evidence from the pages

Free plan. The homepage says to build and host your bot "free, forever", with no card. It lists 24/7 hosting, 8 custom slash commands, 3 custom events, moderation and automod, and tickets and reaction roles. The Dyno comparison adds more free counts: 3 free autoresponders, 5 timed messages, and a free bot in up to 5 servers. Premium removes the server cap and gives unlimited autoresponders and custom events.

Premium. Premium is $10 a month, or $60 a year, for one bot in unlimited servers. Unlimited Bots is $20 a month for every bot on your account, including ones you make later. The homepage shows a yearly toggle labeled "Save 50%". Both paid options carry a 7-day money-back guarantee, according to the MEE6 comparison.

Dyno comparison. BotGhost's own page, with Dyno prices checked on 10 September 2026 from Dyno's premium page, lists Dyno at 25 custom commands against BotGhost's 8, and 10 autoresponders against 3. It says Dyno's Custom tier is $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year. It states plainly that Dyno's free tier is more generous on raw counts, which is a fair admission for a vendor to print about a rival.

MEE6 comparison. The page lists MEE6 Premium at $11.99 a month, $49.99 a year or $89.99 once for a lifetime plan, each covering one server. For 3 servers it shows $149.97 a year for MEE6 against $60 a year for BotGhost's Single Bot Premium. It also concedes that for one server kept for years the MEE6 lifetime plan can cost less, and that BotGhost offers no lifetime plan.

These comparisons are the company's own, checked by it against rival pages, so treat them as its framing. The pages shown name no compliance certification and no integration list beyond Discord.

Who it suits

A Discord server owner or moderator who wants custom commands, welcome and role automation, tickets and leveling without writing code will find the whole path here, from the first free bot to a hosted, branded one. Someone who runs several servers with one bot is the case the pricing is built for, since one Premium bot covers unlimited servers. A community that wants a bot with a custom AI reply can add one inside the same builder.

It suits less well someone who needs more than Discord: the pages describe a Discord tool only. It also suits less well a team that wants a much larger free tier, since the free plan caps commands at 8, events at 3 and servers at 5, and the company admits rivals offer higher raw counts. The pages describe no code export or self-hosting, so the bot lives on BotGhost's platform.
