What Lunacal is
Lunacal is a hosted scheduling and booking tool from Lunacal LLC, which gives a Sheridan, Wyoming address in the site footer. The home page calls it "One Customizable Booking System for Every Business Need" and says it handles "scheduling, appointments, payments, packages, teams, reminders, and AI-powered workflows in one flexible platform." Its central idea is that a booking page should work like a small landing page: "Choose Lunacal when you want your booking page to feel like a small landing page with clear information, proof, and helpful content." The people it is written for are coaches, class instructors, consultants, salons, clinics and small service teams who sell time and want the page a client lands on to explain the offer before the calendar appears. The footer lists industry pages for sales, recruitment, legal and financial services, spas and salons, tattoo studios, schools and tutors, clinics, therapists and dentists, gyms and yoga studios, home services and real estate.
What you build and how
There is no code. You assemble a booking page and a set of event types in a visual editor, then share the link.
The booking page. A coaching article on the company's site describes "a simple drag-and-drop editor where you can add blocks such as text, testimonials, images, videos, documents, forms, and more," which you arrange and publish. A class-booking article says the page "can look like a class page with information, videos, and details about the session," so a student sees what the class includes and how to join, with content blocks placed next to the calendar. The home page lists the customization blocks as customer logos, videos, testimonials, FAQ, files, an About section and a profile photo. It also lets you embed social feeds from Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok, and a "Landing Page" feature adds your profile, FAQs and company details to the scheduling page.
Event types. The home page says Lunacal "supports all event types": "Create 1:1 meetings, group sessions, recurring events & multi-session packages." Group bookings let several attendees join classes, webinars or sessions. A "Service Booking Flow" lets clients "select a service, choose a provider, and book an available time in one flow," and "Multi-Location & Multi-Service" covers businesses with several locations or service categories. The coaching article adds that visitors can also be booked with the first available coach automatically.
Calendars and availability. You "Connect Google, Outlook, and Apple calendars with 2-way real-time sync," several at the same time. The coaching article explains the logic: one calendar stores booked sessions while the others are checked for conflicts, so a slot busy in any connected calendar does not appear. You set "working hours, buffers, holidays, and custom rules for each day," a notice period for the minimum time before a booking, daily limits, and custom availability for exceptions on specific days. Manual booking approval lets you accept or reject a booking before it is confirmed, and the timezone of each client is detected automatically so slots show in local time.
Reminders and workflows. "Email & SMS Reminders" send "automated meeting reminders & post-meeting emails," and Workflows send multi-step emails before, during and after meetings. The coaching article says you control the message and timing and the session details fill in automatically.
Links, embedding and questions. "Add your booking link on your website, landing pages, emails, social profiles, and text," or embed the booking calendar directly on your site. Customizable pre-booking questions collect intake details before a session.
Teams. Team scheduling is built for "multiple locations, services and team members." It includes round robin scheduling to "distribute inbound meetings evenly across available team members automatically," collective scheduling so clients can "book meetings with multiple team members when everyone is available," and "Team Pages" that "show your services, providers, and availability on one booking page for the whole team."
Payments. Under "Earn More From Bookings," the home page lists paid sessions with payment "through Stripe or PayPal before a booking is confirmed," multi-session packages that clients buy upfront and schedule over time, and "Smart Coupons" that can be limited by time or use for promotions and referrals. It states "Lunacal does not charge any commission on your bookings. You keep 100%."
Branding and reach. "Custom Domain: Use your own domain for a fully branded scheduling experience." The home page says clients can book in "13+ languages," including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch and Arabic.
Integrations. The home page says you can "Integrate using zapier, webhooks, CRM (hubspot, pipedrive) etc."
How a client experiences the result: they open your link, read the page you built, pick a service and a provider if there is a team, choose a time in their own timezone, pay if you charge, and receive reminders by email or SMS.
What the pages state about plans, trial and trust
The company's comparison page says "Lunacal is priced per user per month, with yearly billing offering savings of up to 20 percent." The tiers listed there:
- Standard is $9 per user each month.
- Teams is $15 per user each month.
- Enterprise is $25 per user each month "with added support and custom integrations."
The coaching article repeats the $9 and $15 figures, says paid plans cost per user, "which is good for coaching teams," and points to the official pricing page for the full feature grid. The home page offers a "Start 7-Day Free Trial" button and a free demo.
On data protection, the home page says Lunacal is "GDPR compliant," with "privacy-first data handling designed to support GDPR requirements in the EU," and the footer links a DPA and a responsible disclosure policy. The coaching article states that "Lunacal is rated 4.9/5 on G2," and the menu links a "Wall of Love" page of customer feedback.
The same article is candid about weak spots. Creating several similar event types takes longer than it should because there is no obvious duplicate flow, a team that needs a full public API should "review the current documentation carefully before deciding," and high-volume classes with complex capacity rules may need edge cases tested before committing.
Who it suits and who it does not
Lunacal fits a coach, tutor, class instructor or consultant who wants the booking page to carry the sales message: services, testimonials, videos, pricing and a calendar in one place, on a custom domain, with payment collected at booking and no commission taken by the tool. It also fits a small clinic, salon or studio that wants round robin or collective scheduling, a team page and packages, at a per-user price starting at $9, and a business with clients in several languages.
The company's own article names the main caveat: "The rich-page concept is different from classic scheduling software, so some clients may take a second to orient themselves." If you only need a plain link to a calendar for quick internal calls, building a rich page is more setup than you will use.
