What BookingPress is
BookingPress is an appointment booking plugin for WordPress. It is for service businesses that run a WordPress site and want to take bookings, deposits and payments there, and for freelancers who build such sites for clients. The home page calls it "The all-in-one WordPress appointment booking plugin for any service-based industry" with fully automated staff scheduling, self-booking and easy payments. It is made by Repute Infosystems, which the site says has been building software "since 2005" and describes as "Founded in 2005, still independent". The same company makes ARMember, ARForms, AffiliatePress and ARPrice.
The pitch is a bundle: one license includes the premium add-ons rather than selling them one by one. The site puts it as "Skip the add-on tax", and a free version is also available to download. The company says BookingPress is "Loved by 100,000+ businesses", and the FAQ puts it at over 100,000 businesses across 50+ industries.
What you build and how
You build a booking system inside your own WordPress site. A setup wizard walks you through adding services and staff, setting working hours and publishing the booking form, and the FAQ says most WordPress users can start taking bookings within 10 minutes of installation. A single shortcode turns any page into a booking page, and customers pick service, specialist, date and time in one flow without logging in. The booking form's colors, fields, titles and layout are customized in a visual editor. The plugin works with Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder and Astra, and the site describes it as "WPML-ready" with 15+ languages.
Staff and scheduling. Unlimited services, staff and bookings are listed in every paid plan. Each staff member gets a dedicated panel with their agenda, working hours, services and days off, and staff commissions are tracked. Multi-location support runs several branches from one WordPress site, each with its own staff, services, hours and payments. Resource management, marked new, assigns shared rooms, courts, boats or equipment to services so a slot opens only when both the person and the resource are free. Recurring appointments turn one booking into a series, and group appointments, waiting lists and custom durations are included.
Calendar sync and meetings. Bookings land on the assigned staff member's Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, and personal events block slots on the booking form "both ways". Zoom, Teams and Meet links are added to online bookings.
Notifications. The FAQ says the plugin sends "automatic booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and updates via email, SMS, WhatsApp or Telegram." The home page shows an SMS reminder 24 hours before an appointment and mentions 35+ SMS gateways, plus review requests and rebook links in follow-ups.
Payments. The home page says customers can pay "via 22+ payment gateways including Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mollie and more", and the FAQ adds Square, Authorize.net, WooCommerce, Klarna, Braintree, Paystack, PayPal Pro, 2Checkout, Skrill and PagSeguro. Clients pay in full, pay a fixed or percentage deposit, or pay at the venue, and refunds run from the dashboard. A POS mode handles the customer who books online and pays at the counter with one tap, without payment links or typed card numbers. The FAQ says all gateways are included with all plans, "No extra addon, no extra charges", and the site states "$0 Added fees from us".
Add-ons. The premium library covers taxes and branded PDF invoices, tips, gift cards, coupons, happy-hour pricing for off-peak slots, staff ratings and reviews, multi-service booking, service extras, custom intake forms, buffer times, customer accounts with booking history, cancellation rules and service packages with a discount and validity window. One-click migration imports services, staff and bookings from Bookly, Amelia and Booknetic.
Reporting and integrations. A live dashboard shows revenue, bookings and no-show trends, sliced by date, staff, service or location, with export to CSV or PDF. Beyond the built-in connections, the site says you can automate with "thousands more through Zapier, Make, and n8n", and lists "6,000+ apps and a REST API for everything else". The resources menu links the REST API and developer hooks documentation.
Data ownership. Because it runs on your own WordPress site, the company says your customers, bookings and history stay there, with "No vendor lock-in" and "Zero booking fees".
Plans, pricing and support
Plans. The home page says "Plans from $89/year". The Standard plan, marked "Most popular", costs $89 a year against a regular price of $99, for one site, with unlimited services, staff and bookings, 45+ premium add-ons, 21+ payment gateways, and email, SMS and WhatsApp reminders. The full 60+ add-on library comes with the Professional and Enterprise plans, whose prices sit on the full pricing page. The site adds "Free plan available" and "Lifetime from $229". A purchase includes "1 year of updates & support".
Guarantee. The site offers a 14-day money-back guarantee: "We'll refund every cent. No questions asked."
Support. Help comes through documentation, support tickets and video tutorials, and the feature list promises "24/7 Quick Support By Experts". The site shows ratings of 4.5 on Capterra and 4.6 on G2.
Customer voices. Craig Sherman of Socialmonials says "We replaced three separate tools with BookingPress, and our online bookings doubled in two months." Nathan Dijkstra writes that "It's very user friendly, has loads of options, gets regular updates and support is fast and reliable." These are the company's chosen reviews.
Who it suits and who it does not
BookingPress fits a WordPress site owner who wants most features in one purchase and does not want to price add-ons separately. The home page shows ready demos for salons, spas, pet grooming, tattoo studios, clinics, gyms, yoga classes, coaches, consultants, photographers, event planners, venues, home services, and car and boat rentals, so a small business in any of these trades starts from a template rather than a blank form. The lifetime option suits an owner who prefers one payment to yearly renewals, and the free import path lowers the cost of switching. Agencies that build on Elementor or Divi will find it drops into their existing stack.
The caveats are plain. It only works inside WordPress, so the site, hosting and updates are yours to run. The Standard plan covers one site, so a portfolio of client sites needs a higher plan or more licenses, and Standard carries 45+ add-ons rather than the full 60+ library.
